Please place your thumb on the I.D. plate and your eye to the retinal scanner. Once your biometric data have been confirmed, you may proceed to post your Alias fanfic recommendations. Okay, so the rules are the same as usual: place your fic recs here, with links, and the following information: het/slash; general rating If you feel like it, a brief description is always cool. Please put recs for works-in-progress on the WIP updates thread; when a fic is complete, this is the place for it. Have fun!

I thought I'd be posting these in chronological order, but "The Mission" which is the first of the Jack/Vaughn stories from Anna S, is 17 chapters, and "Shortcuts", the second, is 11, and today I am not so much with the ability to concentrate. So: I'll start with what may be the most difficult of the stories, the darkest, the shortest, and the newest: "Between the Lines". NC-17 for rape: not "non-con"; this is rape of a prisoner by guards, the whole story is about the recovery, and it is pretty much free of all the cliches of the rape-fic genre. Very much a spy-story. www.livejournal.com/users/eliade/377794.html?Julia, I do not like "non-con" or rapefic. That I recommend this is significant of its quality and gravitas

This is the first of Anna S.'s Jack/Vaughn fics, which came to be called "The Mission." It's the one that got Matthew to say he thought he hated me. Of all the fics, this one is the most like an episode of "Alias" in structure; the others are more like a seaon or even multiseason long character arc. The team: Jack, Syd, Weiss and Vaughn- are working on an arms dealer with a profitable sideline in the sex trade; Vaughn is made as a CIA Agent, and well: things happen. Anna S is even worse than I am about putting things in memories or linking to earlier chapters, so all I can do is provide links for all seventeen chapters: The Mission 1. www.livejournal.com/users/eliade/362885.html2. www.livejournal.com/users/eliade/363358.html3. www.livejournal.com/users/eliade/363682.html4. www.livejournal.com/users/eliade/363978.html5. www.livejournal.com/users/eliade/364227.html6. www.livejournal.com/users/eliade/364227.html7&8. www.livejournal.com/users/eliade/364756.html9. www.livejournal.com/users/eliade/365512.html10. www.livejournal.com/users/eliade/365693.html11. www.livejournal.com/users/eliade/365917.html12. www.livejournal.com/users/eliade/366186.html13. www.livejournal.com/users/eliade/366441.html14. www.livejournal.com/users/eliade/366825.html15. www.livejournal.com/users/eliade/368335.html16. www.livejournal.com/users/eliade/368481.html17. www.livejournal.com/users/eliade/369035.htmlJulia, she's also ten times the writer I am, and this fic proves it. Plotty, full of convincingly canon friendly action and characterization, and seemlessly logical.

The latest of the bunch, fresh today. This fic also examines the issue of impaired consent, this time through designer drugs and torture (a constant theme of the program itself; the Drakur drug of this season is mentioned). The POV is unique; I don't remember reading any slash fic written primarily in the voice of an observer- this time Weiss, who spends the first chapter trying to joke and babble himself through a very uncomfortable experience. Great Weiss voice, and totally in character Jack and Vaughn. NC-17, again, but as is true of all of Anna S., anything but PWP. "Raw", two chapters: 1. www.livejournal.com/users/eliade/378012.html2. www.livejournal.com/users/eliade/378168.htmlJulia, whew!
