WEll, as we have always been taught, the only really "safe socks" are "absent in tents".... or somethign liek that. REally, that makes no sense whatsoever... what would "pitching a tent" have to do with soft footwear? I mean I would understand if it were stilleto heels or something... Vlad #rofl1# And now I am also stuck with the image of stilleto heels worn with nice comfy fuzzy socks. Which wasn't at all where you were going, but that's my mind in a nutshell. Never mind me, just keep erecting pitching those tents, boys!

Thank you from me as well. I feel very honored to be included. {{S'cubies}} Well, I didn't "chose" who to include----I just typed in the names of everyone who posted (i.e. visited the thread). So if I've missed anyone, or any else comes along later, let me know and I'll edit. And, for those of you who commented on the picture. Well, that was the pic Shan used to start the thread---I just copied that too. My gift is not originality, it's organizing (listing, counting, surveying, rating) the information that's already there. Patti knew that. We were going to discuss a "Scubies Surveys" thread for the summer-drought months.

Vlad, everybody - so fitting to have some Wednesday fun here. Vlad - I just sent you my VM review. ALL - have we heard anything from Diane on arrangements? Do you want me to handle sending flowers or some such thing? I am happy to help in any way. I am planning a donation to the American Diabetes Association, but I would also like to send flowers, if the family and others making arrangements would like them.

Why am I having evil visions of Lamb Chop.....? Lap Puppet Theatre presents...... (hides head in shame) Then the theme song must be "The Song That Doesn't End". Unless it's "Lamb Chop's Playalong". I don't know which is worse. Lamb Chop's really grown up.

It's one I took on our trip to Florida to see Rob and Rae after S'fest last year. I know she had a lot of happy memories of that trip and that she really liked that picture of herself. And, Sue, please keep the idea of that close at hand. While I hadn't heard about it yet, we are going to need those summer surveys now more than ever! *hug* Vlad

I am planning a donation to the American Diabetes Association, but I would also like to send flowers, if the family and others making arrangements would like them. We don't really have many details yet, but as soon as we do, we will make them available and also be arranging something from everyone on the site. I think her family deserves to know that lots of people loved Patti and depended upon her and think so highly of her. I know her brother seemed absolutely stunned and was very emotional at hte news. We both cried together for a bit on the phone when he called back to confirm what I already knew. Vlad

yes, casue, you know, life sometimes jsut "socks." That's really the "foot" of the problem. And if we don't "toe" the line, try to "stretch" to meet the demands...well "darn" it, thats when it get's worse and you might as well jsut admit that you are "hosed." Vlad Vlad, how do you DO that?

And I suppose I should also add that, inspite of it all, time does, indeed, "heel" all wounds. Vlad I thought it was "time wounds all heels."

I want to apologize for being so quiet in the last couple of days. I've been around...just haven't found much to express. Not in any way I'd like to, at least.
Eventually I may try to share some thoughts; thankfully I finally have a couple of days away from work. I'm utterly and totally exhausted.
In a way, though, perhaps working was good; it forced me to compartmentalize things so that I could function. One of the hardest parts of recent grief is simply grinding your way through the interminably long days, with nothing to think about other than loss.
Anyway, I'll be around. Love to all.

Yes - do please "be around." Patti just adored you, you know. She used words like "nicest guy around," "so funny and bright," to describe you. She loved your fic and told me how wonderful it had been to spend extra time with you and Rae in Florida. She also told me what a great voice you had, and what a wonderful addition to S'cubiefest you had been. Since I hadn't been able to make it, I asked Patti a lot of questions about S'cubiefest and the people there. And you were one of her favorite memories.

Yep! Too bad. Poor James, but lucky SMG. Did she tug it all the way off, I wonder? Does it make me a bad person to say I really would have loved to have seen that footage? If you're bad so am I, but it has made James feel so freaky that he doesn't even want to do a scene without his shirt on! It really wigs him out!
