I want to apologize for being so quiet in the last couple of days. I've been around...just haven't found much to express. Not in any way I'd like to, at least. Eventually I may try to share some thoughts; thankfully I finally have a couple of days away from work. I'm utterly and totally exhausted. In a way, though, perhaps working was good; it forced me to compartmentalize things so that I could function. One of the hardest parts of recent grief is simply grinding your way through the interminably long days, with nothing to think about other than loss. Anyway, I'll be around. Love to all. Love to you too, Rob. Just know we're here if you need us.

Is that what Xander meant by "the sock puppet of love"? Oh my God, you are probably right, I'm sure he saw it all. wonder how James felt about those lines! I wonder what Nick felt about those lines too.

I am planning a donation to the American Diabetes Association, but I would also like to send flowers, if the family and others making arrangements would like them. Does anyone know what arrangements have been made?

Does anyone know what arrangements have been made? No, not yet. We'll announce it the moment we hear anything.

Well, I didn't "chose" who to include----I just typed in the names of everyone who posted (i.e. visited the thread). So if I've missed anyone, or any else comes along later, let me know and I'll edit. And, for those of you who commented on the picture. Well, that was the pic Shan used to start the thread---I just copied that too. My gift is not originality, it's organizing (listing, counting, surveying, rating) the information that's already there. Patti knew that. We were going to discuss a "Scubies Surveys" thread for the summer-drought months. (((Sue)))

Rob - thanks for dropping by. Yes - do please "be around." Patti just adored you, you know. She used words like "nicest guy around," "so funny and bright," to describe you. She loved your fic and told me how wonderful it had been to spend extra time with you and Rae in Florida. She also told me what a great voice you had, and what a wonderful addition to S'cubiefest you had been. Since I hadn't been able to make it, I asked Patti a lot of questions about S'cubiefest and the people there. And you were one of her favorite memories. Thank you.

Oh my God, you are probably right, I'm sure he saw it all. wonder how James felt about those lines! I wonder what Nick felt about those lines too. No, wait. The "sock puppet of love" happened well before any Spike nudity. That was "Anya and the prom" discussion. So, at that point, it was just Xander being funny.

WEll, as we have always been taught, the only really "safe socks" are "absent in tents".... or somethign liek that. REally, that makes no sense whatsoever... what would "pitching a tent" have to do with soft footwear? I mean I would understand if it were stilleto heels or something... Vlad Tent shaped sheets, stilleto heels, stockings, and other unusual things all go with"safe socks", I thought you knew that!

{{{{Vlad}}}} And gales and gales of laughter were heard in all of Kentucky. Or maybe groans....Heh. Something in a fishnet? Fishnet is hell to wear...anywhere!

Knee socks? Thigh highs? You've been reading some "Spuffy", some of that stuff just sends me over the edge. In some cases it would be a whole body stocking!

{{Vlad}} Vlad, we never forget nor do we ever completely get over the loss of somone we love. We muddle along until the pain eases so we can go on functioning. Then after a while, the hole where they were is filled with the wonderful memories we have of them as well as the grief and then we can live again, not as well but with more acceptance and fond love when we think of them.
