Bravely blazing a trail into the wilderness...
And that's all I have to say, too.

Hubby has been hogging the computer all night! I go through withdrawal if I'm offline too long. If DianeU is still here I want to tell her how much I liked her letter to the ESPN writer (scratching my head over that one). I always want to take action like that but I can never bring myself to do it.

I'm number 4! I was trying to be third and at least get the bronze medal but Karalee beat me to it.
And now that I've staked my claim, I have to leave. The birds wake me up at 5:30 in the morning (even on days when I can sleep late!) so I must toddle off now. Have fun, all of you night owls.

Wow. Is there a prize for third? If there is I have a list of people I want to thank.

Looks like I'm fashionably late... For those of you who didn't know (maybe I'm the only one who didn't...), jamesmarsters.com has finally been updated. There's all sorts of spiffy articles and such.

Thanks Nan. Sorry it takes so long to reply. The punkin-head seems to think her mom should pay attention to her sometimes. Go figure.

Trying to catch up on all the posts that have posted while I was at work. Ya’ll are nearly as bad as I am lately, and I don’t have any doubt that the new board is a rousing success.
A few comments from Part 8, since it’s now on tighter lockdown than the Emerald City Prison on Oz.
Diane – I didn’t say ALL the women were looking alike, just some. Mainly the ones who all posted pics of Spike. Good grief – when we include you, you insist we didn’t. And when we don’t, you insist we did. Don’t make me get my bullet out of my pocket ….
Okay, I feel the need to ask – I know what Spuffy is. I know what Bangel is (I think I originated that one at some point). Biley works for me as well. But someone used the term Spangel – what on Earth is that? Are we back to Nan’s insistence that vampires are bisexual, and shipping Angel and Spike now? I’m really not seeing them as a couple. And then someone mentioned Spander – the pairing of Spike and Xander – and I had to barf.
In defense of Riley, I’m on the side that saw Riley as more or less manipulated by Spike etc. into his reaction with Buffy. And agree that Buffy’s lockdown didn’t help things. We’ve seen Buffy show more emotion with Spike and Angel; heck, we’ve seen Buffy show more emotion with Parker Abrahms. But for whatever reason, Riley couldn’t get in. Although I do believe that happens – like the Vertical Horizon song, “He’s everything you want, he’s everything you need. He’s everything inside of you that wish you could be. He says all the right things at just the right time, but he means nothing to you and you don’t know why.” Some people can seem absolutely perfect on paper, and yet they just don’t get the spark going. I’ve had plenty of dates off the Internet where the girl sounded like everything I could ever ask for, and she was attractive enough, but once we met, nothing clicked. She was still everything I could have asked for, just no sparkage. Enter Riley Finn – everything Buffy ever wanted in a guy, but no spark. And sometimes, that can be the toughest relationships to break off, because we start thinking, “Ok, this person is perfect, so the problem must be me.”
Thanks Vlad for remembering that the name of the movie was Deathtrap. It has been a while since I saw it, although the kiss between Michael Caine and Christopher Reeve keeps me awake some nights, right along with Xander’s eye and Kennedy’s tongue stud. Mousetrap was an Agatha Christie story. My mistake. Good form, old man.
I have to agree with Matt Rousch’s comments regarding Eliza’s new show on Fox. Remember, this is the show that treated Firefly so badly, so I would not be surprised if Eliza will be camping out on Joss’ doorstep before too long, begging to come back to work for him. She may even offer to wash and wax his car to get a second chance in one of his shows, which he’ll tell her she can wash, but he’s been liking the way Sarah has been waxing ever since she did the same thing a month prior…..
Patti mentioned that we guys are human – different from girls, but still human. And aren’t we all grateful for those differences. Ok, maybe not all of the differences…..
Saw someone use the line “We’re, like, twins!” Love those pop culture references. The second version of The Parent Trap is, in my mind, superior to the first, and Lindsay Lohan, a New Yorker, carries off one of her two roles with an English accent that’s just as convincing as James Marsters’; pretty impressive for an 11-year-old, if you ask me.
Ok, now to catch up with Part 9……
