There's some stupid comedy show on TV right now, that has ASH as a guest star. Sort of a pompous professor/artist type - with a posh American accent. And, oh, god, he's naked right now. ROTFL. I remember that one. Oh Gawd. I taped it and only watched ASH - isn't that the one where he paints nude self-portraits with strategically placed bouquets? Never watched the sitcom before that, and never again, but ASH was hilarious.

Yes, I am better. Staying in bed and rewatching my Angel and Buffy tapes helped me recuperate. I wish there was some way to get all of the "lovey" scenes between Buffy and Angel and Buffy and Spike together on a DVD. That certainly would sweat out any bug anyone had.
Thanks for the hug.

We have slipped (just a little) on the BuffyGuide Top Rated List - we are now #5. Even though we have slipped just a smidge or two, let's be proud of the fact that out of all the links she has (and it's a LOT) we're #5!!! How awesome is that?! YAY S'cubies! We're #5!!! Why am I obsessed with this, you might ask? Dunno, just am.

I've never seen him in anything but Buffy and the Taster's Choice commercials. Mary

Hey Mary, We are meeting at what EG describes as her favorite craptacular resaurant in the Rogers Park Edgewater neighborhood. For mutual scheduling necessities and preferences it will be an early breakfast, 7:30. Sue needs to return to her family by mid-morning and EG and I will be going onto our respective work-places (but I'm going in late so that I can get as much S'cubie time as possible. Anyone else who is willing and able to join us on this momentus and all too rare occasion of a face to face S'cubie get together is welcome and encouraged to come. Just send me an IM for details. Let me give this some thought. I live near Madison, so it would be about 3 hours. I might have to come down the night before since leaving home at 3:30 am (giving me an hour to be completely lost) doesn't sound really appealing. Also, seeing that I refuse to drive in downtown Madison, Chicago might be a bit much for me! Oh, and Sue, I'm 47 - right in the middle. Mary

Huh. I'm surprised I even made it into the top ten. BTW Patti, loved the poem. You managed to capture Spike's entire arc in relatively few words full of pathos and and a little injection of comic relief at the end. Thanks Deborah.

I really like your avatar. I always loved the various ways Spike and Buffy looked at each other. Even before they knew it, they looked at each other deeply. Maybe at first with deep distrust, but it was obvious to me that something was brewing underneath. Did you find it somewhere or are you one of those talented technopagans?

Mary You should check him out on BBC America's Manchild; it's kind of like a British-male midlife crisis version of Sex and the City. I think Bravo might have shown the first season on American TV and I'm also pretty sure it's available on DVD. The guys spend a lot of time discussing their lives while wrapped in nothing but towels in a steam room...(imagine me saying that in an enticing, singsong voice)

Why did I think you were down South some where? I've got the S'cubie's locations all kinds of mixed up. Here I was thinking Spring was in Michigan (she was NOT amused- some rivalry or some such between MI and OH where she really lives) and I had a vague notion that you were somewhere in the South. Well, this is interesting and frought with possibilities for an eventual, sooner than later sort of meeting, even if not on the 28th for breakfast. We could always arrange a meeting at a mutually agreeable halfwayish point. And btw, have you no interest in attending con's or did circumstances prevent your attendence in Chicago in May? But as far as breakfast goes, it would be so, so wonderful if you really could join us. And don't worry about downtown. There's no downtown involved. You would not be having to drive downtown at all. You'd be coming from the North and the restaurant is North of downtown. If you could come Mary, then I would consider taking the whole day rather than just the morning off work. If you like, and you can reassure me that you won't mind the thrift-store decor of my apt too terribly much, you could come over for a bit of a video fest. I've acquired some new material I'd love to share with you.

Lori If I'd had a beverage it would be splashed all over my desk and my screen right now. Me? Talented Techopagan? All kinds of no. My computer know-how is rudimentary at best. I stole, borrowed, uh, lifted (yeah, that sounds a bit better) from Barb Cumming's website: towermountain.net/barb/buffyfic.htmOnce you get there scroll down the left menu and click on "Buttons". Hey Nan, Rae, or BetsyL, or anyone else who knows, since I'm using the URL from Barb's website should I send it to someone here to have it posted on a S'cubie's website to get a knew URL to use so I'm not stealing from Barb? I followed Nan's instructions from the Avatar Alley thread but I remember reading elsewhere that I should only use the originating URL temorarily.
