Lee...this was my first opening of a thread and locking of the last one...Very cool feeling also. You did a great job, PattiT - S'cubie Cutie. You were very clear and I found my way here with no confusion. In the past, I've wandered around lost but not today. You were most calm and efficient in moving us here. Great job!!

Maybe it *would* be slightly sanitized. "Nip/Tuck" on FX has been showing quite a bit of *unsanitized* shots, I wouldn't be surprised that they wouldn't have to edit SATC that much. Karen, LOVE your signature line and the quote under your avatar! I pray it isn't like two months old and I'm just now noticing. LOVE IT!!!

I got my 2nd issue of the new Angel Magazine. I know I over paid for it, but I got it off of eBay and it was delivered to me here at work.
I had bit on the 1st issue, but it got way too expensive. Just hoping it shows up in my local BN soon.
Got some good articles and some great pics. Will have to borrow a friends scanner for the pics, but I can put some of the articles up if anyone is interested.

miss b, Something you said about being a 'hopeless romantic' got me thinking about BTVS S6 and S7. I think romance is what was missing during both of those seasons (I know - way late on my comment to earlier posts). Altho, Buffy and Spike were hot together in S6, and tender toward each other in S7, I missed the romance of Angel/Buffy and for that matter, Tara/Willow, Willow/Oz, Cordelia/Xander, Xander/Anya, Giles/Jenny. Even Buffy-bot/Spike and Buffy/Spike in Something Blue. Even the Scooby gang was romantic in their camaradarie. Have I missed a significant romance from S6 and S7? Dave, do you think you were missing the romance and that's the elusive feeling you felt got lost on BtVS's move to UPN? Well, Season 6 had Tara/Willow and Xander/Anya and Spike/Buffy - even if they did end badly (the romances of the other seasons ended badly as well, though). And Season 7 had Willow/Kennedy, and Spike/Buffy, and some Xander/Anya, and a touch of Faith/Wood. None of these had that highly-idealized, first romance thing going for them - but to me, that was a good thing. Because the early season romances weren't actually any better than the later season romances - we just saw them through the perspective of younger, starrier eyes. And I personally really liked the transition to more adult and realistically-viewed relationships. I guess I don't qualify as the hopeless romantic type - The HS romances were fun and sweet to watch, but well . . . they were HS romances and didn't resonate with me very far.

I haven't seen all of S6 to be sure, but I think that is something that was missing in S7. Love, and not just romance love, but platonic friendship love too. Between Xander Buffy and Willow, as well as Giles and Buffy. I do understand that it was supposed to be missing... That part of the S7 message was about how people can shut themselves down and grow apart, but I think that was the greatest thing about BtVS the early years - the realtionships and the love that kept them together through thick and thin. Which may also explain why I didn't get into Angel at the beginning - it was a lot less about the relationships and more about the individual characters. (Before anyone goes off on me - I know there was some relationship building, but the focus was more on the individuals and the monster of the week.)

Karen, LOVE your signature line and the quote under your avatar! I pray it isn't like two months old and I'm just now noticing. LOVE IT!!! Thanks, Lee! I just changed it for the new Angel season premier. It's from Angel, S1. And oddly appropriate, I thought. Altho, I'd like to see them become brothers-in-arms, so to speak. [glow=red,2,300] 2 more freakin' days![/glow]

True - the comaraderie was really missing, especially in Season 7. The lessening of the "tight-knittiness" between them though, began in Season 4 - as soon as they got out of High School, and it just kept deteriorating from there. It was . . . sad. I did miss it. But letting it happen to that bunch of HS buds - the way it really does happen to most of us - is what I loved about BtVS - it's what made it so different from the rest, so head-and-shoulders above the rest. I do understand missing the more flowery romance and togetherness and regretting its passing - but I felt it was made up for, if you know what I mean, by the unique way the series spoke to its viewers, to their real-life experiences.

Patti - insisting we let you "have Spike" constitutes an abuse of your newfound power and will have to be reported to Mr Bloody. If you tell him that, I'll tell him you're planning to chip one of the S'cubies at S'cubiefest! Ha!

Sure sounds like Ms. Patti is being channeled by WH. Isn't that where Angel and Wes and maybe Spike now work? I could live with that sort of 'channeling'.... ;D
