Thank you, David. If you'd said before, I'd forgotten the source of this list. So I appreciate your hunting it down and posting it again. Speaking of Tolkein, I've managed to insert Frodo Fourfingers into Sunnydale as the proprietor of an upscale sleazy bar (vamps admitted, but only in human face, and you may get mugged for your poker winnings--$$, not kittens) in The Blood Is the Life. And I've compared Spike, TWICE, favorably to an Elf-Lord, in terms of their respective spiritual bodies. Well, Spike's IS spiritual, and I'll arm-wrestle anybody who says different! I know I feel holy when I look at it.

Nan, I found it by going to the forum, then doing a search on your name. Actually a poster there, named SHANNO, copied the review and plopped it into a post there, AND said 'this is from a website I shall not name'. I replied that Shanno should credit the source and I said that your reviews can be read each week at the Soulful Spike Society (and gave our web address) and can be discussed on our board. Hello to Shanno, and all new members and returning members - welcome, glad to have you, and jump into our discussions anytime! Nan, it occurs to me that the extra attention generated by your review helps bring the site another step closer to its primary goal: Helping me meet and marry JM. That being the case, I want you to be my maid of honor! Vlad - as Buffy once said to Giles - I'm not crazy, and I would like you to be the one to give me away. The other S'cubie men - I'll need you as ushers (you'll need to ask the guests "Spuffy? or Bangel?" before seating). The S'cubie women I'll need as bridesmaids (all dresses WILL be radioactive). Except Patti. And I'll need . . . . five volunteers to guard her in the specially-prepared, locked, padded room. After my return from our 6 month, globetrotting honeymoon, I'll start my job as head writer for AtS. But I'll remember the little people.

I know I feel holy when I look at it. LOL. If I can paraphrase a song I was listening to in the car this morning: His body is a wonderland.

I'm okay with it as long as you don't do the traditional burlap and blood larvae. However, I think Patti is going to get homocidal.

However, by the time you've spent 6 months shilly shallying with JM, *I* will be head writer for ME, so you needn't worry about remembering the little people: you'll be one of them.
The moral: never threaten to come between a writer and her character! [/color]

Oh, and if you go into Springfield for the LOTR thing, stop at Andy's Frozen Custard afterwards. Yummy yummy stuff and a couple of my friends work there, so they'll treat you right.

I just did a trawl on the City of Angel board, where they've posted Nan's wondrous review of Angel 5.01. I dropped a reply that I hope is okay with you all: If you liked Nan Dibble's review, check out the Soulful Spike site at www.soulfulspike.com for more reviews, fanfic, and another great board! Wow! I am really amazed at how quickly Nan's article has been sent about! Ain't modern life a gas! Nan: way to go, girl!! Nan!! This is great! Now...if you could just turn this into money.

I pressed 1 for goats. I pressed it again. And again -- and kept pressing, until I'd actually pressed 11111111. Turns out that's the code for vestal virgins, so I'm having one delivered by FedEx. Don't know if that will help the board any, but I'm sure she'll cure what's ailing me .... I don't know if I got this right but...ROTFLOL
