Patti--maybe she thought she needed permission to name the website--she's now listed as our newest member. I've seen 3 new members in the past 2 days. Sue well OOPS! Perhaps I'll just....modify my post and hope our newest member didn't get her feelings hurt...sigh... it's just been a bad day...

Nan, I found it by going to the forum, then doing a search on your name. Actually a poster there, named SHANNO, copied the review and plopped it into a post there, AND said 'this is from a website I shall not name'. The NERVE! I replied that Shanno should at least credit the source and I said that your reviews can be read each week at the Soulful Spike Society (and gave our web address) and can be discussed on our board. Thanks, Patti. I was curious to see it. I'll go try again. And your indignation on our collective behalf was fierce and very S'cubie. Maybe if Shanno comes and visits us, she'll understand why.

Apparently, she joined us...hope I didn't make her leave. OH - reminds me...another of our new members Jangelus, is from a Spike centric yahoo group - she's in charge of it and saw our site (and your review Nan) and contacted Vlad about linking to us - he gave permission and they will do the link properly - and now Jangelus is one of us! Cool.... so hi Jangelus, and Shanno.... ;D ;D ;D

I went, I looked, and I eventually understood. I left a post in addition to those you'd left, Patti and makd. I didn' t have Deborah at my arm to help me be diplomatic, so I did the best I could. Here's what I said:
Hello, Shanno. It's usually considered polite to post a link rather than an entire review or article. Until Patti and makd told me my review was here, I didn't know it and was curious what circumstances had led it to be on a site that had not asked my permission to carry it.
However, now I understand. City of Angel is not carrying the review--it's just that you, as an individual, saw it, presumably liked it, and wanted to share it with others. I take that as a compliment. Next time, though, link to the review, please (copy the URL) as I understand netiquette dictates. Writers appreciate knowing where their work is being displayed and having some minimal control over that. Not a matter of law--only a matter of courtesy.
I'm quite new to this myself, so I'm still learning the polite way to do things and usually find out by oopsing and being kindly corrected, as I hope I have suggested a different way for you to direct others to what you've enjoyed, in future instances, without being or sounding angry or giving offense. Intended only in kindness; only in courtesy.

Nan
I just deleted my post answering your question about city of angel. Looks as if you found the information you needed while I was away.
Incidentally, I spent the better part of the evening reviewing a site that's been mentioned here before: the secret loft. Lots of really good videos (and I'll be cleaning my hard drive after tonight!), and lots of extras.
Have also been reading more Soulful Spike fanfic. I do love a good read, and you all are just so good! thank you!
Night all - time for beddy bye here on Long Island.

Patti, looks like you and I are the only chickens left. I think this chicken is gonna tuck her head under her wing and say goodnight. Tomorrow I'll start working on my review of 5.2. A little nervous-making, knowing quite a few people may see it. And it's a fine ep: I REALLY want to do it justice without skewing too obviously toward you-know-who.

I haven't seen her in a while. Was she going somewhere? She was on vacation in Croatia but she's back home now. I think in the last Moloch-devoured part she'd popped in briefly to say "Hi" and that she was busy at work.

At last a benefit to being too many time zones to the east: I get to be the first to say:
Happy Birthday, Karalee!

All hail Vlad...and all hell to Moloch, who DESTROYED the last thread! That makes me so MAD! I go away for a weekend and when I return an entire part has been sucked into the Hellmouth! No catching up, no idea what went on or what everyone was talking about... What the flippersmack was that? Moloch on holiday?

WARNING....WARNING....
try to remember - if we are approaching 300, we'll be landing soon and disembarking for the next flight. (When did we start this airplane analogy anyway?)
I don't know, but I believe you were the first (maybe only) one to do it. ;D

First, Moloch should be soundly flippersmacked. Just in case anyone might be interested, this got eaten with the last thread: The photo annual issue of Entertainment Weekly is out, and there's a fine picture of Eliza Dushku, looking very sultry. When does Eliza Dushku NOT look sultry?
