Spring-
Yours is one of my favorite ficlets- I particularly admire the depiction of Spike's inner combination of wilness and sweetness-
And now- what about another fictlet set between Killer In Me and First Date wherein Spike and Buffy confront the moments after he awakens to a world she has given him chipfree.
I mean "no one expects the Spanish Inquisition..."

I mean "no one expects the Spanish Inquisition..." ellie Hmmm. Not a bad idea. I worked on a snippet that was about Buffy's thoughts as she sat in the bathroom post AR and pre-Xander walking in on her, and continued Spike's conversation with Clem before he leaves, etc. . . but it was just so sad and depressing, I put it away. I will give some thought to this idea, and thanks for your nice words about my one and only story. I enjoyed doing it.

"He's in love with her. He won't leave her, he can't have her, and he shouldn't want her."..."He sits in the candlelight, utterly bereft.."
Those lines made my heart ache. I can see Spike's face clearly with all of his emotion.
Thank you, it was wonderful.

Thank you, Spring, for your heartbreaking story. This especially touched me: I could just feel Spike's utter hopelessness and helplessness.

I really tried to make that story reflect how the characters truly seemed to me at that point in time. I have tried to work on some more, and have two "half-way" done, but I am just not satisfied with them.
