Thanks, Nan. I'm moderately computer-phobic, and was just wondering how to deal with that. Um, how about - ask? Right, Rachael, all the techno-minded people here are really helpful and never make anyone feel bad no matter how silly our questions might be.

Hi Len! Was the prophesy "A" or "THE" vampire with a soul? I don't think ME was really clear on this, to me anyway. Maybe they both are able to Shanshu. Does a prophesy generally refer to one person? The prophesy used the word "The", but did it in such a way that I didn't take it to mean just one vampire only. It speaks of the vampire with a soul who passes certain tests, yada yada yada, which to me could mean each of the vampires with souls. In a way, I would almost take "a" vampire with a soul to mean only one.

And on that note, Rachael, let's not forget that Wesley had a hell of a time trying to translate, so he could have been wrong. Remember, originally, he thought the Shanshu prophecy meant Angel would die. For all we know, that may have been correct. Guess we'll have to wait and see. Also realize that since Wesley was translating, he was also paraphrasing to a point. His extrapolation could have been because at the time, there was only one vampire with a soul, so no point discussing what might happen in the case of multiple vampires with souls.

Look at this - Dave opened this part up as a small carry-over until tonight, because Moloch was acting up, and we're already over 300 posts. We are a loquacious lot! I was noticing that. Here I went and did the "56 1/2" thinking we'd be lucky to see 15 pages -- and we're now closer to 30. Talkative bunch.

I've been re-watching the Season 1 episodes on Sunday nights (although, why, since I have them on DVD, I don't know), as well as "The Wish" for Season 3, and wondered who might have sired Willow and Xander and when. Would they have been at the Bronze the night of the Harvest and been sired then? Later? I mean, they are described by Giles as the Master's "most vicious disciples"; would he have sired them? Not really sure if this is an interesting topic of discussion or a sign I need to get out more. Please feel free to ignore it if you wish. I don't think anyone was expected to survive the Harvest, not even as a vampire. Luke was drinking an then tossing the bodies aside. Considering Willow's strength and standing compared to Xander's, I'm thinking someone, possibly the Master, sired Willow, and then because she still loved Xander deep in her heart, she probably sired Xander to have him as her eternal lover.

I'm off to visit my friend in Somerville. We're gonna watch a video and then ANGEL on her huge TV screen (as opposed to my teeny 14-inch one). I'll be back on the boards in about 4-5 hours...
Thanx to those of you who offered feedback on my choice of title. I'll wait another 12 hours or so and then decide:
1. S'CUBIE SHE-WOLF 2. MASTER VAMPIRE GROUPIE
I reserve the rights to both of these titles in the future.
More opinions are strongly requested.
TTFN, GAIL ;D How about something along the lines of Demon S'cubie, considering the demonic origin of Raksha.

You mean, you make your cats eat in their bathroom? EWWWW They haven't exactly complained. At least that I've been able to understand. But my laundry room is pretty good size, so the food bowl is next to the washer and the catbox is next to the dryer. They aren't side-by-side.

Dave, Cease & desist putting yourself down--only your friends are allowed to do that. ;D Yes, dear. Oh, sorry. A woman started telling me what to do, and I thought I was married again. Habit.

If you cut across all the vampire legends you end up wondering if the blood exchange is essential to the creation of a new vamp. If a vamp feeds repeatedly--or really enthusiastically--isn't it possible that its saliva will do in the place of blood? This may be the reason some vamps are minions (mindless or nearly so) and some are master vamps. I think the difference between a minion and a master vampire is their level of intelligence as a human. Willow is an extremely intelligent person, so it's no surprise that her vampire self would be a master vamp. Likewise with Liam and William.
