Hi again -- I had to dash out earlier. I've actually been home all day, really not working, because as I was driving to the office today, mid-span on the Tappan Zee Bridge in the pouring rain (and in the extreme left lane!), my windshield wipers suddenly died. NOT the kind of thing you really want to have happen! Anyway, I made it over to the right lane, got across the bridge, then turned myself around and came right back home. (Cause I'm really not fond of driving in the rain with no wipers!)
Anyway, that's no big -- it's supposed to clear overnight, and the car should be fixed tomorrow -- but that's why I've been around to post today!
And a few comments on some posts near then end of Part 60:
Betsy L. wrote:
Oh, yeah, right, like what team in its right mind is going to want BENITEZ? My Metsies were stupid for so many years -- only took the Yanks THREE FLIPPERSMACKIN' WEEKS to throw him out, and the Mariners should be glad to get rid of him. Who does he think is going to take him?
Lee said:
Lee, Lee, Lee, don't you remember the corollary to "Everything I need to know in life, I learned from BtVS"? It's "Everything else I need to know in life, I learned from The Godfather." In your case, you need to decide whether you prefer to be feared, than loved; or loved, than feared.
Though a little fear is always a good thing!

Betsy L. I apologize - I made the poll last night (this morning) very late (very early) and as I typed your name I thought 'be sure and say Betsy L. instead of Betsy B. cause we have two Betsy's....' and of course I typed Betsy B. That's okay Patti . . . I never noticed.

What the hell, why even bother making it good? 2000 posts! Damn, that is a LOT of procrastination at work. Why hitting 2000 excites me, I have no idea. It just does. On my way to 3000..... ;D Congratulations Lee. You literally talk more than twice as much as me. And people call me a chatterbox! Or is that a post-box?

Well well, good to know the gangs all still here, I think I'll wander back to read what you all had to say about last weeks episode. Now if I can just figure out when it'll be on tonight...
I've been here rarely of late, too tired to sit at the computer. It turns out I have a vitamin B12 deficiency which should be remedied by injections, so hopefully I'll be back to my old self soon and posting like a crazy person...
Okay am I the only one who noticed that today's episode is episode 5 X 5. Should I be disturbed?
Is anyone else having trouble with buffy.nu? Are there any other good spoilery news sites?
Okay, I really should read the comments for episode 4.
Part 60 without the half here I come!

Yes! Thank you Patti. It's so nerve-wracking not being able to post.
I get to see TWO new Angel's today. TNT has started on Season 2, which I've never seen.
Gotta go!

Yay Patti! Thanks, girl. You really need to ask for that raise! Spring, Thanks for reposting your Angel mirroring the bad guys only for good post. That's exactly what I was looking for. Now that I know it's on the review threads, it will be easy to refer back to. I guess that's one good thing about having separate threads. Cool insight, btw. I looked back on Patti's last 10 posts which go back over a few days and didn't see it! Could someone tell me exactly where it is - I liked it a lot and wanted to send it to a friend.

Dave, You and I can't get married in my state. Shanno Which state is that? Inebriation? Confusion? Ignorance? My favorite is the first one, but my permanent residency is in the third.

Yay! I've officially CAUGHT UP!
Who'da thunk it would take me FOUR days to catch up on two weeks of posting by you guys!
Going to make dinner now. Judgment is on TNT -- Angel has just said "I thought I was out of the tunnel" -- he got all excited about becoming human. Really helps to remind us what this season could be about.

Hey, there are more n'ubies than (what are we long termers called?)
Although, ctowner and Rachael have already passed right thru n'ubie and junior s'cubie to "S'cubie" status. Master S'cubie coming right up!
To all n'ubies: If (and I do mean IF) you wish to know some of us better, go on over to the website and click on "Profiles". Some of us have even posted pictures.
(Just don't calculate the average age!)

Yup, it took about four hours to download but the BitTorrent version (all one single segment) showed up MUCH sharper than the other in the DIVX player--equal to the broadcast version.
And giving nothing away, the episode is a bit of a hoot, but I assume we all knew that anyway. No further details from me until after it's aired.

I looked back on Patti's last 10 posts which go back over a few days and didn't see it! Could someone tell me exactly where it is - I liked it a lot and wanted to send it to a friend. I see nobody has yet responded to you, Len. Although the top post (that you're quoting from) is Patti's, the one you really want is Spring's. I found it by reviewing her last 50 posts; it must be somewhere in the previous part, today. I've copied her comments and am pasting them here: I agree with SandyS, Vlad. Great story. Do a little editing and post it on the S3 site under some kind of "site history and info" link for n'ubies!
On my former post, SandyS, is this the one you mean - it is in the "part 57-Angel 5.4" thread, because it was my initial reaction to last week's ep:
Liked the ep. James was great, but those disclaimers were way overdone. Neither the violence nor the partial nudity was anything that out of the ordinary.
Angel gets another ep where he has to wade deeply into the gray area, and where he mirrors what the bad guy is doing, only for good reasons - ep 2 he "kills a messenger" the way the necromancer did; ep 3 he kills a werewolf despite the innocent human side he must kill with it (as our bad guy plans to do); ep 4 he sends someone to hell - which is what our bad guy was doing.
What does all this mean for Angel?
I definitely agree that Angel's closing statement to Pavane could have been about himself, or Spike - and that confinement reminded me of Angel at the bottom of the sea.
Loved the Angel/Spike scene, and you could definitely see in that scene that for all his earlier snarkiness about Spike, Angel does get that Spike has changed.
Many good lines and scenes - just well done.
