Gotta love Moloch. I know the last part wasn't to 500 yet, but Moloch is active today. So we're closing down the old section and moving forward. Welcome to part 62. The rules are the same as always -- respect the other posters as you would want them to respect you; place all your spoiler posts (anything that has yet to air) in the designated areas; and have fun. If you're here visiting us, we welcome you and encourage you to join our discussions. You don't have to be a member to play, but it's soooo much more fun when you are. And if you want to know more about us, visit our main site at www.soulfulspike.com. Let the posting begin!

The critics as a whole are not being kind to Tru Calling. We might just get our series about the Rogue Slayer sooner than later. Actually, the NYTimes gave it a pretty decent review - qualified, but decent. (they said it was "oddly compelling").

Don't think anyone's mentioned it; I found it significant that Gunn actually peed on Wesley's shoes, marking him as part of his territory. To me it speaks of who really commands Wesley's loyalty: Gunn, who stood with him when Angel fired them all in Season 2, or Angel, who (absenting late Season 3 and most of Season 4) helped him develop from a sacked watcher and "rogue" demon hunter, to an actually rogue demon hunter who is in control and commands respect.

I think HWMNBN is simply demanding his due from yesterday, when we went close to 700 posts in Part 60!

So what does it mean that he pee'd in Angel's nice and comfy office chair?

Reposting it here from the previous thread.
I hope this isn't considered a spoiler, since she is already on the show . . . but does this mean we'll see more of her . . . . I hope not. I heard she was slated anyway for like 16 episodes as a guest star. Wonder what made this come about?

According to an interview on eonline!, Mercedes McNab will become a regular on Angel sometime after the first of the year.

What, Moloch'd again? Anyway, about Gunn - cats mark their territory in much the same way as dogs, and he does have that interesting rapport with the big black kitty. Perhaps his animal totem is asserting itself? I was reminded of the scene in Red Dwarf where Cat was going around with a little spray bottle: "This is mine, and this is mine, and THIS is mine. Not that bit over there, I don't want that, but this is mine..." Also Never Cry Wolf, where Farley Mowat tried to mark his territory as the wolves do - he drank a LOT of tea before he discovered that he didn't need that much to do the trick. Interesting point, eg and Dave(?) about Gunn marking Wesley - I wonder if he considers Wes to be part of his family/pack. Fred was lucky to get away unscathed.

So what does it mean that he pee'd in Angel's nice and comfy office chair? He connects it with Angel, and Angel wouldn't hold still long enough to be marked? He wants the chair for himself? It was a cute gag (and gag IS the operative word here)? I hope they have a large bottle of Nature's Miracle around...

I've just opened the thread for the epsiode we will be watching tomorrow. How poetic that on Halloween we will be watching "I've Got You Under My Skin".
I really liked the episode. In fact I watched this epsiode last weekend and will rewatch it tomorrow nite.

Added a small spoiler, and episode description, on the Spoiler board. Nan, if my post could be considered spoilerish, let me know and I'll delete it - I removed the part that LOOKED spoiled, but one never knows...

I was wondering about telling the Unspoiled about the Nerd Alerts - which are a hoot and a half, well done, all! Could any of them be considered spoiler-ish? If the group consensus is that they're safe, I'll go direct the exiles to the thread. I already put in a post about Spike's Pants, so that's taken care of. Some things should not be missed...
And I see that I have just posted three in a row. Patti, I am your loyal disciple. Or I really, really need a life...

Everyone is in awe at my brilliant discourse. Or bored to tears. I think I'll go hang out in the Thrall Room for a while.

I actually like the connection btwn Day of the Dead and AtS...Angel's whole thing is remembering the dead (his victims) and atoning for his past. Angel and Spike are both (un)dead, Spike esp. We've gotten reminders of what Spike did on BtVS. Also a connection w/family. Family matters, and the FG is a "family" of sorts. We remember Cordy, and Doyle, and Groo (not dead, but certainly departed - miss Groo, felt sooooo bad for him). Recognition of L.A.'s Chicano/a heritage very nice, too. Not terribly impressed w/last night's ep. Got a HUGE laugh from Spike at the end (The Lorne thing...wore off hours ago...Yay!) ;D I thought it was funny when Angel wanted to talk and Eve brushed him off. Reminded me of the discussion we had a while back debating the *ahem* merits of Angel vs. Spike. Eve was obviously unimpressed. Do Lee H.'s enthusiasm for nekkid Angel and my complete lack of interest cancel each other out? Poor Lorne. Trying to keep up morale at W&H really is a thankless task. Forget who pointed it out, but I like the idea of Lorne's breakdown being signaled by his clothes. His wardrobe's always been outrageous, but usually in better taste. Does this mean we've seen the end of Lorne as fashion victim, now he's got his sleep again? I hope so. Sleep deprivation is pretty serious, tho'. I sometimes suffer from insomnia, and it can get pretty bad. I've spent entire nights (fortunately rare) staring at the insides of my eyelids only to end up weeping w/frustration the next day. Thank Heaven I haven't yet fallen asleep at the wheel and injured/killed anyone. Haven't said "HI" to all the n'ubies/newly minted s'cubies yet. My bad...Welcome all. Love the Groucho Marx inspired quip, Len.
