Nan, while you're here and I still remember - Emily is in love with Plot.
I got it back for an evening, and it's a great book, BTW - I really like the way you used contemporary as well as classic examples. It should be a required resource in high school language arts classes.
I wanted to read more, but Emily came and begged it back. Your book has been a great help to her (she's writing stories for her own enjoyment), and she says it's "really cool", besides. Thank you!

Oh, crap. Got myself right into broody mode. Got "Goodbye to You" on the headphones, and have to admit I'm wallowing in the depression. I'm having an Angel moment.

I'm up to accepting appreciation tonight: not up to doing anything anybody could actually appreciate!

Sheesh! You all were talky-talkersons today. Good debates going. I'm not really sure if my position has changed, but it gave me alot to think about. Hey Rachael, how about "Beaker Babe"? I suckI forgot- Nicki, along with little Anya, you will be raising my 3 girls, too

OK-since ONE person suggested I wouldn't be out of line by doing so, I'm going to repost my last comments from part 71. You really can't die from that kind of hunger, trust me, I know. Still waiting for marriage. It may be an "old fashioned" idea, but the alternative hasn't made any of my friends any happier than I am. In fact, out of 10 or so of my old friends, only 2 said they were glad they lost their viriginity when they did. The others all said they wished they had waited until they were married or at least with the guy they did marry. OK--sharing now. I'm not going to try to change your mind--you should do what feels right to you, BUT I don't regret a single one of the guys I slept with before I was married, even if I ended up being hurt by them. And I do regret NOT sleeping with one guy. (BTW, I've been married happily for 24 years and 3 kids.) Not that there were very many of them, you understand! Sorry, I haven't been able to figure out how to properly quote from a previous thread.

Yeah, why isn't this on the top like normal. I've been sitting on the old board like, who, it's so quiet. So many things are stickied, and are therefore required to be at the top, that this can only be under them. I'm not capable of stickying things on this board--only on the AI thread--and at least until a few minutes ago, there were no Technopagans to nag to sticky this and lock 71.

I was out most of the afternoon getting registered with yet another temp agency (CBS). That involved quite a lot of testing on a computer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and I'm utterly brain dead at the moment. I doubt very much I'll be able to do the review tonight. By noon tomorrow is about the best I can do, I think. At least next week is a "bye" with no episode. Maybe I'll have time to get rested and brain-alert 2 weeks hence (if we're not into dreaded reruns at that point). I beg the collective pardon of the S'cubies for not being up to making the 24 hour deadline this time. Alas, life happens. What? You put making a living above your duties to US? Nan, how you disappoint. Oh no, there's a rhyme in there someplace about "Duties to S'Cubies" but I don't think I want to go there. (Good luck!)

The board says Patti's around someplace. I've asked her to sticky this Part and lock up 71.
Annnnnd...she just DID.
Thanks, Patti.

At the moment, Diane, I'm NEITHER making a living NOR doing my S'cubie duty! Total dork here, tonight!

Hey! "Forrest" (Leonard Roberts) is in tonight's episode! He seems to be the bad guy, which on this show means he's probably not!

MARY MADE 1000 POSTS! CONGRATULATIONS!
And WTG, Len, You're A Master Now!!!
Someone said in the last Part that they missed Spike's interactions with women, which was what he did best on BUFFY. I've noted in the past that Spike has always been at more at ease with women than with men. So I'm glad that he's now running with the big dogs - Angel, Gunn and Wesley. It's time he learned how to play well with other lads.
I noticed that Spike reached out in casual friendship to Gunn. Gunn offered, after Angel, the strongest disapproval of Spike's ghostly appearance in JUST REWARDS. Yet Spike hugged him, called him "Charlie", and invited him out for a drink. I guess Spike respects Gunn as a fellow alpha male and hunter. I wonder if Spike will replace Gunn as the Fang Gang's "muscle"...[glow=red,2,300]GAIL [/glow]

Sorry, I haven't been able to figure out how to properly quote from a previous thread. To me this is a fascinating topic- I guess b/c I don't feel there IS any one right answer. What I as a parent want for my children is a magical connection that will sustain and last them for the duration of their relationships. How they come to that particular relationship ...that one is a conundrum...I see so many wonderful relationships that have had any number of beginnings. Some...have felt that the magic was due to waiting for marriage and the 1 right person. Others whose relationships are just as tight feel that they personally needed the period of experimentation to figure out who they were and how they wanted to commit to a person and a lifelong relationship. Some people regret all of their prior relationships- or they regret just one... some people regret that they did not bring more experience to their first consummated relationship. It all depends. Today's hypersexualized environment renders this a hot button topic for any sexually active person or parent endeavoring to raise morally responsible children. Two women in the park came to a parting of the ways b/c one objected to the other's giving her 7 year old a Britney birthday bash. Issues of exploitation vs nurturing vs a good time always engender complicated answers and that is as true of the response of the 2 moms at loggerheads over Britney-bash as the response of our board to Spike boinking Harmony-
