Welcome to "It's Your Life, Anne!" Also known as Part 1003 of The Soulful Spike Society Main ThreadThis thread is dedicated to our own Anne, crafty in the extreme, Onj's better half, keeper of the Thrall Room exclamation points and supplier of the Three-Year Old Corner. Anne is but one example of the craftiness of our community. To find and enjoy a plethora of crafty goods, visit our website. Hot topics or even lukewarm topics of the day can be debated and discussed here, but play nice or Mr. Bolty will be paying you a visit. Remember, no spoilers anywhere but here or under the ghost button provided for your use. Don't forget that we have the house rules that you have to follow and you can read them any time you need a refresher or especially if you've never read them before. They're not on the fridge, but they're easily found so no excuses, young lady/man! A very good place to avoid the screeching demands of The Usefuls, is where television is king queen. Hang out talking about your favorite shows. You can slay usefuls any old time. Now go play and don't make me come over there. . .! ;D Enjoy your day, Anne!

We've made it past an amazing 1000 main discussion threads. That's quite a number and we did it by forming a community of people who know how to act like adults and have become good friends and even family. Let's not forget that Sara and Monnie got married and we have Jan and Rich as a couple. . .. ;D Anyway, we want to celebrate our home and the awesomeness that is us, so we're bringing the celebration to the board.
This is the celebration, of unknown duration ( ), entitled “Better Know a S'cubie” where the main discussion threads will be dedicated to individual and groups of members who have made our online community a family.
Each thread will be 20 pages in length, so they are bit shorter than normal with the format and rules remaining the same. We hope, however, that everyone who has a story or favorite memory of the honored S'cubie of the part will post and give us all blackmail fodder additional insight, entertainment and joy with their anecdotes, stories and pretties for days to come. ;D
But, these dedicated threads are not intended to be one-note threads. The intent is to honor the named S'cubie while doing what we do best everyday: hanging out and shooting the sh*t with each other. Memories, stories, gifts and the like about and dedicated to the named S'cubie can be posted throughout the threads as people see fit.
Enjoy, everyone!

First? How 'bout that. ETA Congratulations Anne, on your very own part. (Does that sound vaguely Wednesdayish to anyone but me?) You're a Craft Queen nonpareil, as witness the photos of your beautiful creations. Anne, keeper of the sadistic fluffy ones, herder of two (OMG two at the same time) teen daughters, and placater of cranky APs. Plus, it never rains in Southern California, which makes a better song than it does a living situation. And yet you endure and fill our boards with pithy comments and the loving offer of Mr. Bolty whenever a S'cube is dealing with an asshat a difficult person. To Anne

Awww, thanks, guys. Carrying over from previous part: Angelique, Camomile tea? Antihistamine at bedtime? I agree with whoever suggested checking your nighttime routine - I find that if I snack to close to bedtime, I can't sleep. Also, if you can avoid napping during the day until you get your sleep schedule sorted, that might help. Yes, I am just chock-full of gratuitous advice... Rachael, good luck with the MiL. Diane, if you've got the tea, I've got the tiger. S'cubies,

My favorite Anne memory: The way, back when AtS was still on TV and the rules were still developing, there were certain silly (but definitely not-fun) tensions on the board. Anne would often help diffuse it all by asking for on-topic discussion about any old Jossverse topic that had come into her head. The topics were always interesting and would help get everybody off sniffling and huffy accusations, and back to real business. Way to go, Anne! Here is something to use for your smiting:

Anne: How about a walk down memory lane? Your first post over at the S 3: Hi, Nan,
It's 6:20 PST, and ScoopMe was still down as of a few minutes ago. And here I thought you folks were having a lovely wild and crazy all night posting party, and crashed the server!
This board looks wildly complicated - I hope it won't be too hard to learn.
Later, Scubies,
AnneYou are always ready for some good nurturing when we S'cubies are feeling down or having bad times. I know we are all very happy you discovered that the board wasn't too complicated after all and stuck with us.

Now I'm getting all sniffly (and not just allergies). This is, in my humble opinion, the best group on the internets, with the best people. I just had a weird encounter with the printer - I changed the black cartridge last week, and I guess nobody's printed much since then. I tried to print a document, and it came out like the cartridge was out of ink. So I cleaned the print nozzles, and it got worse, and worse... Of course I hadn't gotten around to buying new black cartridges. I finally got the old one out of the bag (I return them to Staples for store credit and recycling) and installed it. It appears to be fine. I think maybe when I changed the cartridge, I put the old one in the printer and the new one in the bag. Head, meet desk. I cannot brain today, I have the dumbth. And since Emily's home today, I'm going to take a nap when the laundry is done.

Nothing like getting a text message from your son that reads, "Our school is on fire."
