I liked the Hurley Charlie lines too! 'Get away from me dude'' question - Kate said 'from one outcast to another' to Sawyer. What did she mean? Was that a clue to her past, because she's certainly not an outcast among the survivors. I caught that too, Patti. I assume she was talking about how she used to be an outcast. However, I was surprised Sawyer didn't question it since he - as far as we know - knows nothing about her past.

It's time for another installment of . . . . LOST IN SPRING'S BRAIN. All remaining passengers may now board. Nausea bags are available on request. In the event of emergency, my ears can be used as floatation devices.
Oh - it is so beautiful there. I love that ocean and that beach and Sayid . . . has a pretty . . . wife? Oh- Kate is going all French Lieutenant's Woman on us about Sayid, gazing out at the sea. OH please God, let me snag a guy like that in my back yard! And look, this lady has set up a lot like my basement! UH-oh - torturer getting tortured. Please don't peel and eat his skin!!! Sayid falls in love with a prisoner?? Oh golly, golly - handcuffs. Shades o' Kate. Why are Walt's pants so big?? Oh no - how can the French woman be alive when I was so sure she was dead? This is outrageous!!! I won't put up with this kind of outright flaunting of my predictions. Dear Mr Fury . . . I used to push you in the mud - now you will push me - then French Woman will push you . . .
"I need my hands," says Sayid. "You might just lose your hands, instead of your life," said Sayid earlier.
Everyone need to be occupied. Everyone needs to work and play. Everyone wants to be useful.
Ah, Hurley? A golf course? Dude, couldn't it be badminton or volleyball or something? Best to interact, best not to be so completely alone.
Rash-Man is going to be cured by a game of golf. Get your mind off your troubles. Oh baby, please, please fix my music box, says Danielle, it hasn't played in so long!!! Hurley's efforts are entertainment for one and all. Everyone at the beach goes to check it out. Sawyer's resolve to stay "solitary" looks like it might be dissolving a bit. Solitary Sawyer. Solitary Nadia. Solitary Danielle. Solitary Sayid. Am I to believe that in 16 yrs, French lady could not figure out how to fix a music box? Oh - God, he has to shoot Nadia? Oh no. Oh, oh, oh. Well - this guy playing Sayid - doing a great job. Looking all stern in the face and soft in the eyes. Is that Jin and Sun laughing?
Face off. Danielle - Sayid
Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. The other soldier catches Nadia & Sayid. OH!!!! Self-inflicted wounds. oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
Holding on to the past to the extent that you are sacrificing your future? Bad.
Give her a hug, why don't you, Sayid?
Danielle implies things are going to start happening to everyone. Alex was her son. Too much sad stuff. All sad.
Kate takes Sawyer's action! Idle hands are Locke's the devil's workshop. Wha - whispers in the woods. Sayid - all alone and scared.
LOL! And eeeep! And eetah! And other assorted noises. He can fix my music box any time he wants. Lola **doing the dance of the "we were right about the crazy french lady" tribe** ;D ;D ;D

She said the signal was being broadcast by the others - when he pointed out that her batteries weren't big enough to be the ones broadcasting for 16 years. I don't think she killed them. If she did, she must have forgotten about it because she definitely thought Sayid was one of them and that the 'others' were responsible for Alex being missing. So one of the others must have hit him. The cable he followed from the beach looked like a transoceanic phone cable. Maybe the others layed the cable and rescued Alex. In Danielle's mind that rescue was have been "stealing" him away.

LOL! I liked "didn't you hear about the bear?" Lola I liked Sawyer calling Jack "Dr Quinn" and Jack finally abandoning him and telling him to take off his own bandages.

Well...so we get answers and still more questions. No monsters on the island, but animals - it was a ship , a scientific ship...experimenting on animals we surmise? And the animals are loose and the 'whatever' they were using on the island infected the survivors? but 'the others' are not from the ship.... all our theories slip sliding away...except Locke still scary. Must he always have blood on him? 'Watch the others'. hmm... Sayid really got the karma treatment didn't he? How very alike he and Sawyer really are. I LOVED that Sawyer joined the others and they kinda accepted him. Did Kate really say 'I'll take that action?' Well duh! Yeah, but it was sorta-crazy-French-lady who said no monsters. Not so sure she's the most reliable or totally honest source. Hadn't thought about the idea of experimenting on the animals / causing sickness, etc. Island of Dr. Moreau, perhaps? It's the "animals" whispering out there - they are the "others"? Maybe her "son" isn't dead, just off doing animally stuff on the island? Experimenting with animal-human mixtures and they used her to give birth to one? OK - how far can I push this speculation before I go totally over the edge . . . . Lola

I liked Sawyer calling Jack "Dr Quinn" and Jack finally abandoning him and telling him to take off his own bandages. I liked Saywer calling Jack 'Jack Ass' too. *grin* But I liked Jack's smile when he realized Sawyer had joined them at the golf course. Hey! We don't know if he made that shot, do we?

yes... Good episode. But easier to predict than last week in a lot of ways I think. Ok, I'm just disappointed that there might be no monsters. I liked the twilight zone possibilities. Now we might have the Isle of Dr. Moreau after all? Yeah - it had some good stuff but also more stuff that was really telegraphed. Totally could see it coming (cue swelling music . . . now!) But the ending of each of the stories was definitely exciting and unpredictable. Sayid letting the woman get away from the prison and shooting his friend and himself. The whispers in the jungle and the look on his face. And I liked the contrast between the others relaxing somewhat and not having a clue of what was going on with Sayid and what might be heading their way. Lola

Good point. I was wondering about the cable going out into the ocean. For the record, no way am I assuming Alex is a 'he'. oh.....good point! She said 'child' not son. So maybe Locke saw a pretty girl in the tree - and that's the beautiful heart of the island he thought he saw... all miracle visiony....
