"Banish you"
This is a lot bigger stakes than the TV show Survivor...
"Make amends"
I wonder what he'll do. And I wonder how they'd enforce a banishment. Sawyer's good at passive resistance. And better at sneakyass resistance.
Oh, it was a BLT.
packing and moving?
Gas grenade. Great. I think it is time for Kate to slip... .into a memory...
and scene wipe: new scene.
Confession....
Uh, Kate? Your mother turned you in.
She's learned well from her Jedi Master....
"One of us deserves something good"
Who did Sawyer set up the blind trust for?
And she's awake...
Oh, god, I thought it was just a tease. THANK YOU, JJ!!!!!! ;D

And Kate and the Grilled Cheese go flying. Kateback, with the Patsy Cline.. I'm lousy with faces: was the chick selling the gold necklaces Sawyer's prentice? And we get a picture of the farked-up place that is John Locke's brain. So they've got full dossiers on all the lostaways. And now Locke is an Other. An alien. He's gone native. Yes, that was Sawyer's former lady friend. And wasn't "Walking After Midnight" also playing the night Christian Shepherd had his rain-soaked confrontation with Claire's aunt? Possibly: not sure. I'll check later: but I know Patsy has been used as far back as the first Kate episode, no? On the radio in the truck with the farmer? Or am I making crap up to complicate this universe now?

Whoa. Juliette can really kick ass! Did she know that back in her research doc days or did she learn it on the Island of Misfit Others? Coolness! Kate is connected to Sawyer thru the same woman he conned about working a con with him. And she's connected by helping her run the same con we saw before. ;D Lots and lots and lots of examples of cons on Lost . . . . Hmmmmmmmmm. "One girl watching another girl's back." Uh, yeah. "Or you didn't want that guy to call the cops." John is just "temporarily" captured, eh? So, Benry got to him. Either with his dad or by flattering his "special" relationship with the island or a combo of both. John was told all about Kate and this changed his opinion? Kate think's something has happened to John, but he's always had his own agenda. The one to be wondering about, IMHO, is Rousseau. She's got her own agenda too and she seems the best able to keep to it rather than get distracted by Other issues. Dunno, but in reality Elizabeth Mitchell both boxes and is skilled at karate. So she came by the moves honestly.

Hawaii still very very pretty. Sawyer still very very pretty. With his adorable little ponytail. Hurley still very very much my favorite. "There's been chatter." All casual "pretend I'm not talking to you" and giving him a heads up about what's coming. ;D Dude, they so totally could banish you. Maybe it's time you started thinking about how you can "get more" with honey than vinegar, Sawyer darlin'. Put those con man skills to work! WTF? Tear gas or something? But if it's just in the building they are holding Kate in, why all put on masks and why leave? Just a mind-game show for Kate or something more? Flash!Kate. Kate tells new gal all about her life. Huh. So she really is still very early on in her travels if she's just letting that kind of info out. Is con-gal gonna be the one who teaches her how to get along? She's not totally unaware of how to survive if she knew the jewelry con. Ah, they share "bad guy" empathy. Heeee! Bonding over Sawyer, just separated by a lot of time between experiences. Ha! They've dumped Kate in the jungle like a puppy you hope doesn't keep finding its way back! ;D Well, maybe more like two puppies that you've paw-cuffed together . . .

"Not gonna get the Korean vote..." Well, since you're still alive, Sun hasn't told Jin, so you might still get his...
Hee! he has no idea how to gut a fish!
Heh, and Hurley asks him about it..
Wow, Juliet really had a grip on her.
"You say 'they' like you didn't lock me in a cage and watch me break rocks all day"
"gone someplace else"
So Jack's complicating girlfriends get dumped out in the woods...
Heh! did Sawyer's prentice sell her out to the Marshall?
OH! COOL!!!!! ;D
SO.... Kate sees how hair-trigger the trap is..
They questioned you for half an hour and didn't peg you on that wig?
Huh. She's right. What the hell IS the reason she wants to talk with mom?
Yeah, it was a great fake accident, except for 1) the purchase of the insurance and 2) TELLING your mom about it.
Kate, she sold you out for the same reason she stayed with the abusive bastard. She didn't have a mind of her own, so much, after all that time.
Oh, god, I SO want to see the fanfics....
And Juliet has a point about Jack saying "don't come back... "
And now, a dislocated shoulder.
Polar bear? it doesn't rattle like the Watchdog..

(Juliet?) Hurley calling Sawyer to task. Priceless. That could very well be; I saw her flashback episode my second night in Hawaii, when I was still jet-lagged and recovering from the long flight. So I could have easily missed several details.

Nope, it was Smokey. The rattling came in and went to the camera-shutter speed.
"You tell me" Juliet's never been told about Cerberus?
Oh lord, Hurley is counseling him like a campaign manager, and advising him to baby-kiss.
She is SO gonna see through this..
HEE!! and Aaron reacts by crying!!! ;D
"Not as wrinkly as he was a couple of weeks ago!" That's actually pretty good, for Sawyer...
I'm serious! She's never heard of it? Well, I guess with her being in the Village of the Darned all her time there....
Ah, it's an easy-slip shoulder.
"to protect me"
Ah, so she's gonna find out that he saw her and Sawyer.
"you broke my new woobie's heart!!" "now fix my sholder!"
If it makes you feeel better, Kate, it's gonna hurt her like hell, for a second...

Hard to say for sure, but based on the teaser Lindelof and Cuse gave EW's Doc Jensen for this episode I'd say the phrase isn't meant to be an allusion—at least not first and foremost. That being said, I may very well go look up the series on Wikipedia anyway, just to cover all my bases. I was thinking of various groups who could be considered "left behind" - the Others who are now trapped on the island; people in the rest of the world who our crash survivors have "left behind"; or even the survivors that the Others haven't taken because they aren't "good". Which final one would actually fit in with series Anne mentioned, if I am right about their subject matter . . . Oh, nice catch!

Heh!! Yep, Sawyer's worried now. Know's he totally can't take care of himself. Heee! Love the whole scene with Hurley and Sawyer. "What is that? Fish?" "No." (all pouty) "Did you try to gut it yourself? How can you know know how to do that? We've been here for like 3 months!" ;D They are really too cute together. Hugo may end up giving both Jack and Kate competition for Sawyer's affections. So, is Juliette conning Kate? Or did the Others really dump her? "Welcome to the wonderful world of not knowing what the hell is going on." ;D Good one. Excellent bit with conning the feds. "I'm just selling bibles!" Huh. Kate is really telling this gal all about herself. Mad 'cuz mom "chose him over me" - wants to know why. And "why" is what she asks Juliette too. Ben has a thing for mind-games?! Pot, meet kettle. Oooooh, Kate really really doesn't like you, Juliette. Especially when you say stuff about Jack. Pushing those same "chose someone or something over me" issues. Hmmmmmm. Does Juliette really not know about the Island monster?

So Juliet knows about Cerberus, she has a key, and she knows that Ceberus has an issue with the fence.
And she's got some major, MAJOR abandonment issues...
