SupernaturalThe Winchester boys are here! This is the place to discuss all the latest antics of the freakishly hot Winchester brothers. You may gab about any, all, and ONLY those episodes and previews which have already aired. No spoilers shall trespass on these hallowed sacred pure unspoiled grounds. If we do see a spoiler here, we will torment you for the rest of our lives then, once we die, we'll haunt you for the rest of yours, if for no other reason than the hope that maybe the Winchester brothers will come by to try to exorcise us. What? Yes, I know they're fictional characters, but a gal can dream, right? Let's get this party started! [/b]

Awesome starter, Monnie! And yes, the Winchester boys can exorcise me any time they'd like... So, I'll see if I can get the ball rolling with a few things to discuss: 1. What did everyone think of the season as a whole? (as a special favor to me, please keep the Bella bashing to a bare minimum ) 2. How do you think Sam will manage to get Dean out of hell? 3. What happened to Ruby? Does it mean anything that she was sprawled on the ground in a pose similar to that of Mary Winchester moments before she burst into flames on the ceiling? 4. Could Bobby possibly rock any harder? 5. Can Jensen Ackles get any hotter?

i feel bad for you being all alone in here, sara! i thought i'd post a small comment to hopefully help get the conversation started. i was totally "la la la" at the ending at first- when lilith-in-ruby collapsed and sam started rushing towards dean, even then still i was thinking, "maybe dean's just injured." it wasn't till sam started to cry and cradled dean in his arms that i realized dean was, in fact, dead. and don't worry, i don't hate bela. i think it will be interesting to see what they do with the two of them in hell together next year. from what lilith said, i couldn't really tell if she somehow had actually eradicated ruby (since lilith has all those other weird powers, who knows what she might be able to do to other demons) or just sent her out of the body she'd been occupying. what do you think?

I thought she was totally awesome and am sort of lukewarm about Ruby. I really don't understand why everybody else seems to have the opposite opinion. Overall, I liked the season. I loved that they actually did send Dean to hell, because I was expecting some kind of deus-ex-machina, although I had no idea what that might be.

Thanks for taking pity on me. I took Lilith's comment to mean she'd sent Ruby's essence to some far corner of hell. Or maybe Newark. But what I'm wondering is whether that was Lilith or Ruby expelling the black fog o' demon there at the end. Unfortunately, it's my understanding that Bella won't be back next season. But maybe they'll bring her back for a cameo while Dean's in hell.

"Bon Jovi rocks.
On occasion."
Hehe.
Excellent season finale so far. They should always incorporate the oldies in their episodes.
Mr. Hagar. LOL!

Holy moly.
That was a good finale. I loved the brothers singing duet.
I think Ruby will be the key to getting Dean out of hell.
It was interesting that the demon who tried to kill Sam lost its powers. Sam is getting pretty powerful.

So. That was interesting. In case anyone's wondering, Castiel is—and no, I'm not making this up—an Angel of Thursday. In fact, he "will help anyone born on this day or anyone who asks for help on this day." Apropos, no?

sara, your avatar is cracking me up! ;D i think this episode broke my brain. i still haven't been able to come up with coherent thoughts about it. but yes, very appropriate about the angel - seems like they're always in trouble on thursdays. (did you see the newspaper in the first scene had the same date as the season premiere? i thought that was a nifty tiny touch.) ETA oh, you changed your avatar while i was posting.

Yup, I did notice the newspaper had the same date as the premiere; what I did wonder is how an apparently deserted gas station managed to get the current newspaper on the racks.

Oh, and I finally realized why the demon waitress Dean and Sam chatted with seemed familiar: the actress (Jen Halley) also plays Seelix on BSG. Just in case anyone else was having a "where in the H-E-double hockey sticks have I seen her before" moment.

I guess we know what kind of deus-ex-machina it is now, huh?
