Copied from my LJ: There was nothing that wasn't perfect last night. Okay maybe the fight went on a little too long but other than that - man that was some great television. I can't even decide what was my favorite moment but it's a close toss up between the reaction to the fake makeup from Hardison, Hardison turning the little named man away from Parker stripping, Hardison saying "Get out of my house" (hmm - there seems to be a Hardison theme here) or the absolute awesomeness of a seeming perfect gig (aluminum foil - hee!) suddenly falling apart, the revelations, the looks between Nate, Sophie and Mark Sheppard completely owning his character again. (seriously is there no part this man does not play superbly?). I loved this episode! And I can't wait to see where they go next week from this. I wouldn't say it was perfect, personally. The specifics of the plot and this ongoing tit for tat thing didn't really grab me. But it did have a lot to enjoy.

FYI, Mark Shepherd's number one henchman is the same guy who played Michael's frenemy on Burn Notice. Which is why he looked familiar.

What the hell are you doing, dude? Telling them you're gonna rob them? Is this just 'cuz you love the challenge, or is it part of his plan to do the actual, you know, robbery? Heh! Love all the "hey" moments. ;D Also? "Need a ride?" is classic. They each have their motives. And they each nicely fit the character. Hmmmm. Sounds like him "warning" them about the robbery is part of the plan. Or at least his plan. Drive them inot paranoid over-protection and use that somehow, perhaps? Oh, that is a nice summary. That they were each too focussed on their own specialty, they need someone to bring them all together and have the big picture. Is his ex saying all this stuff just to rile him up 'cuz she knows he's listening? Heeee! Yep, yep she is. "I feel used." Why didn't he tell her? Ah. Self-hatred. Which is his motive for a lot of things, eh?

I'm really, really hoping that Nathan has anticipated Sterling's suspicion of Maggie...

Heh! I love how the ex-wife looks seriously disturbed by the looniness of his crew. Loved Parker with the sniffing and the hair petting. ;D And they know about and are planning for/hoping for the bad guys to discover his ex is helping, yes? **is worried** Sophie is really rather horrible at saying sorry. It's interesting that Eliot is the most angry, at least on the surface.

Heh! "That's. A mummy." "Yeah." "I think you set something off." So - the statues aren't gon at all, are they? They're using each new reaction, each new precaution he's taken against them. But, it can't be this simple either, yes?

Ooooooh! All the other art. To break the rep of this guy. And, does he not care about getting caught? Or . . . Do they not intend to keep them stolen, eh? Make a deal time. Oh, nice! He knew there was going to be a theft and didn't do anything. Heh! And make a deal right with the slimey guy who will do this to save his own neck. "You know your entire plan depended on me being a self-serving utter bastard?" "Yeah. That's a stretch." This show does do a nice job of snarky exit lines. Oh, right, sure. They're all breaking up and moving on. Like we believe that.

Copies from my lj:
Oh how I loved this! From the parallels - Are you here to kill me Nate? To the con - stealing everything BUT the Davids, depending on Sterling being a bastard, the tunnel BEHIND the sarcophagus, Parkie sniffing Maggie (hee - and thank you PTB for making the ex-wife fun and not a complete and utter bitch), the ded conversation, the apologies, CK's date and everyone's eyes during the bad in bed comment - I could go on and on and on. Superb. Loved it! LOVED IT! Good job TNT. Brilliant casting, excellent writing and just overall a kickass show.

Aside from all the other merits of this episode, which have already been mentioned, Timothy Hutton. In black. Yes, I am shallow and superficial. So what? Summer. *Starts counting down* ;D

It's interesting that Eliot is the most angry, at least on the surface. Parker not only has no boundaries, it is impossible to explain to her why people would want boundaries. Julia, also: hope the spoiler averse didn't watch the promo that stepped on the big at the end of the episode. That was Scifi channel level of spoilage.
