Sayid meets a bodalicious bounty hunter - he'll kill her by the end of the episode, I'm sure.
I could swear that the actor playing the Dharma torturer was in the movie Blade Runner, I remember his face. Or at least very like him. The character was hanging around with the Daryl Hannah and Rutger Hauer androids...

I think you're right about Blade Runner . . . somehow I just "see" his face as being in that movie . . . Yup, he was in Blade Runner. Not to mention Deadwood, and of course Larry on Newhart—with his brother Darryl and his other brother Darryl. William Sanderson

Perhaps. But Sawyer was a bit pressed for time, and Sayid really had no reason to distrust him at that point. Besides, if Sayid had just played along he'd have been out of the cell enjoying some of Hurley's fine waffles—you'd have to be crazy not to go for that. Life would be so much simpler if we'd all just go for the waffles. Truer words...

Well, at least Sayid's getting a little nookie. And there's Action Illona. Or this is some intense role playing. So she's not a Marshall. I guess we all just assumed. Golf course guy's family hired her to take him to Guam? Who exactly is golf course guy? Or was that actually Ben manipulating her? Sawyer tries to let Sayid go. And now Sayid wants to stay. To learn more about Ben, I imagine. I wouldn't be so sure that Phil is a dimwit. He's more some one that everyone thinks is a dimwit and he uses it to his advantage since that's easier than trying to change everyone's mind. Sawyer wants to know why The Oceanic 6 came back. He's beginning to sense that things are a lot more complicated than he thought and his world is rapidly becoming destabilized. It will be interesting to see how hard he will push back and how much he will revert when he does lose everything.Flaming VW!! Extra crispy! A present from The Others? Oh, Ben did it to create a diversion. Ben and Sayid are agonna go to Otherland! Excellent pondering!

Found him!

He played "Sebastian' in Blade Runner. His face hasn't changed much.

One of those boats was named Illusion. One of the boats on the dock?

Yep. She's a Cowboy. And Sayid was trying his damndest not to be on that flight. "I did: that's why I'm sitting here, in fact" So we see if this has Terminator timeline structure or No Paradoxes timeline structure. Jin, out on patrol? Ben is watching all of this.. But not understanding the significance. Shit, did he just kill Jin? NO!!! HE KILLED BENRY!!! BABY BENRY SHOT IN THE HEART!! WOOHOO! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENS NOW"!?!?!?!?!?!?!eleventyone I know!!

This is the detective that took him in, isn't it? So, is this how she nabs him? "I'm between jobs at the moment." Ha! ;D "The only thing I was ever good at." Oh, Sayid. No! Oh my. Drugged up Sayid? Very lovely. Drugged up, tied up Sayid saying things like "I am a bad man"? Very very lovely. Do you want me to punish you, Sayid? Do you want Sawyer to punish you? **goes off to very very innapropriate fantasy land** Ahem. Ok. I'm back. So - we're questioning him and he's totally spilling his guts and freaking them all out by knowing the name of the yet to be built stuff and scaring Sawyer by naming him only they're to dumb to pick up on it. Check! "Because I am from the future." "Maybe I should have used half a dropper. Oops." Heeeeeeee!! Juliet and Kate working in the motor pool together. Awk-ward! Good point, Sawyer. Since when did you start acting "like them"? Call in "Arbor"? And this is a "them"? Who them?!Ah yes. Think of the children! Since the hostiles are so dangerous, why weren't you thinking of the children before this? "I would really like to say it's unanimous." Nice democracy, dude. Also? Sawyer, noooooooo!! Ann Arbor. Where University of Michigan is. Where I presume the head honchos who run the DHARMA Initiative are.

Yeah, it's that guy. He was also on Deadwood and an episode of Life. And a couple of other places. I'm too lazy to look him up at the moment though.

Now we're back at the airport. Sayid is doomed. DOOMED! I guess Sayid wasn't the one who roughed up Ben. Now I sooooo want it to have been Daniel's mom who so completely kicked his ass. Wasn't really dead or magically resurrect because of the island, maybe? That would really help him get a leadership role with the hostiles . . . Or maybe time is changed now and we're heading off into a parallel universe where Ben died as a kid?

I saw almost every episode of the show, and I didn't realize. I think it's because Larry had long-haired. Also, Blade Runner was more compelling.

Back on the docks. Sayid is the one who roughed up Ben then? Drinking in a bar. A favorite Lost past time. Illona. And she's got an accent. Did she have one before? This is an odd tactic to take for Marshall. Unless she's not a Marshall. Sayid wants to change and do something else that he's not good at. Let's take a trip through Sayid's mind now, shall we? Oh, it's a truth serum. This is hilarious. Naveen Andrews is doing great job here. He really did. It was positively delightful to see how eager and happy and earnest he was about telling the truth. ;D Ooooh, and would fit with the way they later grabbed the kids from the plane crash too. Although we still haven't learned when the whole having kids = death thing began, have we? The thing with The Others and kids is reminding me of that ST:TNG episode where they abduct the kids. It's a colony of artists and they've cloaked their planet, but the cloak has made everyone sterile so they've taken to abducting children to replenish their numbers and so forth. I have no idea that's actually an accurate connection or not.

I guess Sayid wasn't the one who roughed up Ben.
Sayid thinks Ben allowed Alex to be killed to save himself. Didn't Benry allow Alex to be killed to save himself?
Of course, they might have killed her even if he'd given himself up, but most parents would have taken the chance.
Gail I tend to think that Benry sort of didn't think they would actually kill her. He was all caught up in his scheming and thought he still had room to maneuver. Plus, it was some kind of Widmore and him line that got crossed. But, in a way, he did let her be killed to save himself.

Gail My memories really fuzzy on that point, actually. I just remember that Ben's reaction to her death seemed to be the only genuine moment (aside from when he's a kid, I guess) that we've seen from him. He seemed to really care for her, probably as much as he is capable of caring for anybody. The rest of it's kind of fuzzy.
