I just know they're gonna fuck up James and Juliet in some way, and it's going to completely wreck me when it happens. Just warning you all ahead of time. **does some proactive Sara petting**

"Like the room was on fire" Yep, Jack is a master of stealth "Claire's Alive"? Oh yeah, she dissapeared in Baba Yaga's hut with Jacob and Christian. Kate's just confessing it all out, isn't she? Dude! It's like she's spilling her guts to everyone! Really was a surprise, wasn't it? I was sure they were setting up to have her leave Aaron with Sawyer's kid's mom. Ha! Well put. I loved the look on Locke's face. Priceless!!

Part IV Flashback. Young Clementine. Cassidy is once again the voice of reason in this show. As scared as I was, I wasn't surprised. All I could think was, it's about time. Why would I expect him to be taken? Because you took him. Kate needed Aaron. Not the other way around. So it's time to let him go. Back on the island. I wonder if this injury some how leads to Ben's tumors in the future? I've been wondering about this too. **snortle** **nods nods nods nods** Apparently, that works.

More thoughts:
I feel like this is the first Kate centric episode that made sense to me. For once, I wasn't confused by Kate's motivations. The writing was clear and Evangeline Lilly's acting was compelling.
I got a bit of the Boy Who Cried Wolf with Ben. All of the Losties were hesitant to help Ben because of all the times in the past when he manipulated them into helping him. Of course, Young Ben's not to blame for that because it hasn't happened yet for him, but the feeling's hard to shake.
We've saw another display of faith vs science in this episode. Jack probably could have helped Ben with his mad surgical skillz, but instead Richard is going to do some kind of magical doo-hickey thing.
I wonder where Sayid is. I hope that before Sawyer and Kate leave they tell the Others what went down or there's going to be a world of hurt to come. Like the Gulf of Tonkin incident.

"Since my first day as a starship captain I swore I'd never let myself get caught in one of these godforsaken paradoxes. The future is the past, the past is the future - it all gives me a headache." Captain Kathryn Janeway I'm thinking that for tonight's episode we should all make sure we have plenty of Excedrin. Hee. And word.

Silly bitch. I don't think she knew Sawyer at all. But if keeps Kate from intruding on Juliet's and Sawyer's relationship, I'm all for the mindfvck.Kate, stop being a moron. The New Guy. Huh. I'll suspect him! Juliet is being more doctor than brain man. CALL HIM LEFLEUR. HAH!! Back to the Future! So Ben had been shot in the past anyways, and Miles and Co. knew about it as part of their information before they went to the island. And Sawyer is following Juliet's ethics. And Jack is following mine. Wait, what?

"And I did it for you, Kate" What the HELL, Jack? "Spent all my time trying to fix things" So why did you come back at all, Jack? "You didn't like the old me, Kate" You know, I like Jack, but HE'S ACTING LIKE A MORON."This might hurt for a second" in a metaphysical sense. Roger, you crazy bastard, stay outside! "Stole my keys so he could bust that animal out of jail" thinking why, here, Roger? Perhaps the way you TREAT him? Holy crapples, he IS thinking that. DIE BEN, DIE!!! And cut to Miles explaining nonlinear causality to Hugo. I don't think the turning the wheel has anything to do with it. It's a simple string layout problem. He can die now, fine. Hugo didn't get Terminator, did he? He PROBABLY DID REMEMBER IT(Sayid shooting him)! BEN IS A DEEP (crazy) MOFO! Wonder what kind of effect on Ben a non-alcoholic, GOOD father Roger would have. Ah! The Others! (And Juliet has very pretty eyes) I wonder if he's still detoxing.

39 years from now. You're gonna beg me to operate on him. I've already done this. Oooooh. Before, I spent all my time trying to fix things. Maybe the island wants to take care of things. Ha! Doesn't like the new him, didn't like the old him. Well, it's true. "We were engaged. Does that count?" ;D Well, least bad-daddy knows he's a sucky dad. OMG, Kate and Linus Sr could become all cosy and KATE COULD BECOME BENRY'S NEW MOMMY!! It could so totally be a storyline!!! Ha ha ha ha!!"Let me get this straight. All this already happened." "Yes!" So, this conversation we're having right now, we already had it?" "Yes!" "Then what am I gonna say next?" "I don't know." "Ha!" "Shoot me, please." "Huh. I hadn't thought of that." It's like they're acting out what everyone who watches the show is thinking. ;D ;D Ooooh, "maybe there's something they can do - the Others". Now, are we talking Hostiles!Others, or Other!Others? And I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.

Part I Kate tells Cassidy the truth about what happened. An envelope full of money. Sawyer asked Kate to take care of Clementine. Cassidy calling sawyer a coward. Kate doesn't tell Cassidy the truth about Aaron. Cassidy figures it out anyway. I think I love her. ;D Someone who figures things out even in the face of the usual communication lack? Yes! Ha! That is so totally true. It would have been funny as hell if Random Dude actually turns out to be a sleeper Other agent or something. ;DI'm finding the New Jack 2.0 to be entertaining to watch, just in a different wacky way that before. Ha! I'm imagining that guy with his mop and bucket, standing in the shadows some where, all "nobody mind me! I'm just here, going about my business. *whistles innocently*"He's very blissed out, isn't he? Like he's on valium. Or maybe that stuff they give addicts to get them off the drugs? Could that make him all mellow like this?

"Auntie Kate!" suggests that they become friends. I find that.. sweet. Well, he needed her, too, ya silly woman. "Why are you helping Ben" who is right there listening. I have just melted into a puddle of goo at Sawyer and "I'm doing it for her" HAH! "You guys leave" And this, with Juliet in the shower with Jack? is the awesome. "We've been fine for three years" were y'all planning on buggering out before the exctinction? "Came back because I was supposed to" Wonder what that means. So does he. So Sawyer goes on to find out about Clementine and Cassidy. So Cassidy was actually right, holy crap. "You and me never woulda worked out" She mentions Juliet. "Done a lot of growing up" Whee! conversation tabling in the form of rifles! So what is Richard supposed to do? Use his mystical System Lord sarcophagous to heal the boy?Dude! I totally bet that's what he's going to do. It would explain *a lot*.

The Others! (And Juliet has very pretty eyes) I wonder if he's still detoxing. From EW's Jeff "Doc" Jensen:Fox describes Jack's journey on Lost like this: ''We set him up to be a hero in the eyes of people on the island — they needed that — but he really wasn't that, or he felt like he couldn't be that. And so we broke him down to where he was desperately trying to hold onto the idea that he can control his reality, that logic and reason and science are the real dictators of the world, not fate and magic. He then felt like his only way out was to take his own life. Failing that, he then moved to a place where he was finally forced to consider that he was probably wrong, that probably Locke was right, and probably the only way he can find any redemption or any salvation in this universe is to go back to the very place that he tried to leave and get back to whatever fated destiny that place has for him. Playing that has been a pretty extraordinary opportunity. A f---ing challenge the whole way through, but it's been really cool experience.''
I asked Fox to describe the state of Jack as we currently find him at this point of the season, and his answer speaks to the quiet, patient, humbled hero that has returned to the Island. ''Coming back to the Island, he gains strength just by being in its proximity,'' he explained. ''I've always believed part of what was destroying him was his actual lack of physical proximity to the Island. He is fated to do something on the Island, but in fighting to get away from that, the Island was destroying him from afar. Now, he's wide-eyed and alert and watching for his destiny. He doesn't have any idea how he's going to know it, or when he's going to know it. But when the moment comes, he will realize he's in the path of his own destiny. And when he's clicked into it, he can start taking action without over-dictating, without trying to control his reality, to just do what it is he's meant to do.''

I wonder if this injury some how leads to Ben's tumors in the future? Sawyer also hesitant to help Ben. Crossing the sonic fence. Back at the Barracks. Juliet goes to regulate. Juliet wants some privacy with Jack. I'm guessing its for more of the verbal knock down drag out fight than the bam chicka waa waa kind of privacy. Hey, ask him more questions about time travel. Hee! It's not Ben yet; he's just a kid. Yeah... I came back here to save you guys. We didn't need saving! Yeah... but the Oceanic 6 were lead to believe that you did. They can't be blamed when they've been manipulated beyond all belief. You came back here for you. Well, yeah there's that too. I came back because I was supposed to. Supposed to do what? I don't know yet.How do you know that you weren't supposed to heal Ben, JacK? Kate and Sawyer carrying Ben. Are they just going to wander through the woods until The Others find him? Talking about Clementine. Parallel between Sawyer's sacrifice at the helicopter being more about him than the others and Jack's sacrifice in coming back to the island also being more about him than saving the other Losties. About Sawyer's maturation. And here are The Others. Right on schedule. You know, Jack's starting to sound an awful lot like Locke, trying to find meaning in the Rorsach pattern of the island.

Juliet is lucky that her woobie is commited to saving this kid's life. This scene for what, the third time? Yep. And I'll be interested in what the various close-watching fans report about any differences (if any), since the very interesting ones they've spotted between the other two. Perception is key!Ha! ;D The twop recaps have already mentioned several inconsistencies, for what it's worth.
