I have 2200 words for my essay which would be great except the most I can have is 1650 before I start losing marks. and they're kind of rubbish words. and the references got lost again even though I try and remember every time to never copy/paste without the [author] Release the editing monkeys! edited by monkeys is pretty much the effect I'm getting, yes

I still waffle, because, well, Ian McKellen. Not that I've set the recorder for it or anything, but I may swing by and peek . . . I recorded it because Mo Ryan tweeted that it was better than she expected, but I haven't watched yet. I ended up re-watching a bunch of Glee eps this weekend because I needed some loopy, happy fun in my life. So much fun!! Glee will never not make me gleeful. ;D

Fringe was... wow. Also, Whose idea was it to turn the tinfoil hats (which, hee) into Robin Hood tinfoil hats? Pure genius, I tell you! ETA @ 5:38AM: Where S'cubies? Quiet Thrall Room quiet. Did something eated my S'cubies? I was out doing something social last night (book club), and then dealing with Em's refusal to sleep before midnight. She's backslid something awful this week. This morning I have a phone interview for a position as a professor of developmental biology in New England. Not a job I particularly want, but it's not a year to be overly choosy. And later I have to start interviewing day care facilities. Whoa! Time? Flying! New England could be very pretty, though . . .

I just saw the trailer for Caprica that was posted on JM's Facebook page. It has an amazing cast (though pretty weak for roles for grown women it seems) but damned if I know what the hell it's about even after watching it. Another worry is the potential of my head exploding with thwarted lust if JM and Eric Stoltz have a scene together.

Re: Fray. Which, really I don't know much about. Apparently it is a total of 8 comics in a series about a future slayer. This wiki page says that after the series ended the 8 issues were collected in a "trade paperback" that Dark Horse published in 2003. However, I have not been able to find any reference to a Hardcover version. I've checked a number of sites and they all simply say "not available." Even using the ISBN number. So, my question is, do you guys know if it ever came out in Hardcover? Possibly a limited edition run of 500 copies? Because my sister has a friend/congregant (of the BIL's church) who works on the Buffy comics with Joss and she's been bugging him to get an autograph for me. She came into town today and gave me a Hardcover copy of Fray. The front has signatures from both Joss and Karl Moline, who did the pencil drawings. It says is it # AP of a limited run of 500.But Kathy's friend says "AP" is even better than one of the numbers 1-500. My guess is that maybe it means "Advance Publication." So I'm wondering if the other 500 copies ever got printed? Some sister, huh?

Naturally, after not bothering to actually enroll Emily in health insurance despite my filing the appropriate forms, after I called them to fix it, after I SPELLED the name of her chosen pediatrician to the woman on the phone at Health Net...they assigned her to the WRONG pediatrician. Not the one she's been seeing for two months, no, but a random person whose first name sounds vaguely similar to her doctor's. I guess "Naveen" and "Nathalie" are the same name. Despite, I say again, my SPELLING her doctor's name to them.
I can fix it with a phone call, but I so hate having to call because they're so damned incompetent.

Very valuable, in collectors terms. Julia, zowie!

I'd love to find out what a collector would pay for it --- NOT that I'm going to sell it (which, among other things would be a total slap in the face to my sister, her friend and Joss) -- I"m just curious. Would a local comics shop be in a position to give me an appraisal. And thanks for the def of "AP"

So, if I have zero other symptoms what does it mean that I started shivering and got achy (which was probably due to the shivering) at 4 yesterday afternoon. Popped 2 ibuprofen and felt fine. But woke up at 2 am (10 hours later) really shivering and very achy. 2 more Ibu, robe, socks, heating pad, temp of 99.5 (I do run a bit low and it was 2 am, so very low grade, but still a fever).
This morning I"m having a "warm flash" with temp at 99.1.
The sister I picked up at the airport and had dinner with (but she's staying in a hotel for reasons mostly only she knows and which make more sense to her than me) has Crohn's, had surgery in August (and the incision is still healing), has a history of infections and immune issues so is a bit of a germ freak.
She's probably going to want to know about this, huh? Her husband doesn't get here until tomorrow afternoon and we were going to spend the day together.
Guess I'll see how the next several hours go.
