It's Anne's birthday! All the best wishes!
Have a present - it's a repeat, but it's a good one.

I just got a call from a doctor at Kaiser, looking for my mom, who, of course, isn't here. He said my dad's kidney isn't doing well, and he wanted to know if I'm the one who makes the medical decisions. I told him he'd have to talk to my mom, she's in charge of decisions, and made sure he had her number. She's probably on her way home from the hospital now. Oh crap oh crap oh crap. I haven't heard from my mom yet. I hope the doctor calls before she calls me, I panicked and didn't even ask for his number. Heard from my mom. The doctor got ahold of her; they needed authorization to try dialysis, which she gave. He looks really bad. She thinks he knew who she was, but she's not sure.

Khan!!!!!! for the lovely opener Onjel. I just adore Khan. Morning Scubies. We have roofers. They are pounding. My brain is leaking out my ears. Sigh. Castle was superb last night. I thought Mark was fantastic in his role and the entire show just made me go awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Oh yeah. It made me all happy and melty inside. Sorry about the roofers. My brain is all wack-a-doodle . . . I keep reading that as roofies instead of roofers.

Currently 10.2F; overnight low 7.7F. (-12.1C, -13.5C) Julia, that's just wrongWe woke up to a 59 degree INDOOR temp - just below freezing outside. Poor baby's hands were so cold. That is not a good indoor temp.

So much to worry about. Hopefully, the dialysis can right his kidney and his need for it is temporary. This whole year has been worrisome. Hang in there.

Couldn't agree with you more. To me, Castle is the perfect way to counteract the Mondayness of Mondays. If CBS didn't run so much filler along with HIMYM and BBT, and I could wean the household off House, my life would be complete. Of course I'm also looking at three shows at 10pm Monday starting in January (Durham County s2, and Men of a Certain Age, which started last night) which will be annoying as heck. Julia, and we need something as all-around enthrawling as Buffy, darn it. Oh, crap! Did I miss the start of Men of a Certain Age? **smacks forehead**

Nothing impresses the same as an opener with man-titty. Yay, Onjel! Because being evil is just being so gosh darn much fun! I agree - excellent opener, Onjellinibini. Hee! Thanks, Lola!

Pixi, I'm glad you are Khan fan too. Montalban was so over the top in that role it was a delight to watch. Thanks for the compliment.
