OK, here we have an example of the kind of day I like: <snip> Julia, picked some apples, too. ... now I'm thinking of Doublemeat Palace. And here I was just jealous of Julia.

... now I'm thinking of Doublemeat Palace. You have a strange and wonderful mind. Julia, hey, on topic! We have a topic? Diane *who is staying unspoiled for PR until the new TV is in*

I had this wonderfully geeky idea of doing a costume for a Steam Punk version of Queen Victoria, with a handful of Dr Who thrown in for next year's DragonCon.
Well, the Bobman has jumped on my idea with both feet, both hands and a mad insanity that puts my mad insanity in the shade.
He has purchased a black wool kilt, leather sporran and socks with ribbon garters. Jacket, vest and other acoutrements to follow. He looks wonderful in them and yesterday, don'tcha know, I came home and found he'd been machine embroidering the ribbon garters and now has drawn up a pattern to make more. Sew into sewing, he is.
Created a monster, I have.

Well, the good news is I'm much further into Snuff now.
The bad news is that's because I forgot to take my bedtime meds until 1:40 am, and am running on so very much insufficient sleep.
Julia, there's ways that one can see what pTerry is going through, ways where there's thin places in the language.

According to the Bobman, we have achieved tv-ness. Honestly, what more could anyone ask? He even uses Buffy-like phraseology.

When you're the only one in the office, just being here is enough, right? I'm not expected to do actual work too, am I?

Still up to eyeballs with work and foster kids. And going to Columbus tomorrow to set up retirement at the end of the calendar year. Only a couple of people here at work know. I plan to tell the boss AFTER I set it in motion, because that is just the sort of crazy, fun, trusting relationship I have with my boss. Once I retire, there are going to be a few changes around here, so GET READY!That's right! I'm going to be crazy retired lady with too much time on her hands, hanging around your posting board. But seriously, I do hope for more S'cubie time, and to set up a schedule to finish my BtVS reviews . . . not sure anyone still cares all that much about them, but I would like to get through them. I may even dump my psuedonym. I'll dump it on the posting board, anyhow. For my reviews, I think it would just confuse people to start writing them under a different name - they have gotten known (to the extent that they are known) as "Spring Summers'" reviews, I think. I think that there will be the opposite of weeping and gnashing of teeth when you restart the Spikecentricities. A lot of people out there are still hoping with baited breath. I think Sue has summed up my feelings pretty well.

This week I have had my microwave break, dithered for three days trying to go buy a new microwave, bought a new microwave all on my owns yaaays, realised I didn't know what to do with the old microwave cause it can't go in the bin, got my employee to drive us to the recycle center and got rid of the old microwave. And had vegan pizza at the Pulse cafe to celebrate. Also I went to the Bollywood dancing class. Even though I've missed all semester because it's now the night before lessons and I can only go if I've finished my homework. I was bad at it, but I'm used to this. Next I have college reading that I should have been doing all week, or I have the latest Terry Pratchett. ... hmmmm... Bollywood dancing! Cool!!

Just remembered:
Yesterday afternoon (Thursday). Younger Daughter gets home from bus from college, stows her backpack, has a snack. Note: She has no classes on Fridays.
"Mom, I don't have that much homework. Would it be okay if I watched some Fringe before I started it?"
Heh, heh heh... gotcha. She's watching another S1 episode right now. If she doesn't get tired of it, and she keeps watching at this rate, she might even be caught up by the end of winter break. Then she can watch them with us.
ETA: Speaking of which, no new Fringe tonight due to baseball. Argh argh argh
