Got my new PC!!! So far, so good. Have not completely finished loading everything I want to load on it, or transferring files . . . but LOVE IT so far. Came with Office 2010 and IE9, so some small changes to get used to there, but no biggies . . .and the best part: Kid Free! They showed a lot of interest but they know this is MINE. I'm looking into getting them some small cheaper models to replace the old-dying computer. But in the meantime, it is "old-dying computer" for them.

To say nothing of bad behavior, infantilism and rampant, unadulterated selfishness. So Liz, you're saying your years of experience on the S'cubie board doesn't count for this stuff? to all my fellow crazies. Well, between the s'cubies and college, I'm pretty confident in thinking that there's little that could shock me at this point. Which I told my preceptor, so now I'm waiting for her to prove me wrong.

Who's crazy? * returns to activities*

So my assignment for this weekend is to watch Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Gene Wilder's character is an example of schizotypal personality and Johnny Depp s character is an example of schizoaffective disorder.
Also, Holly Golightly is classic example borderline personality.

I hope to be able to start at 9 with you all, but I may be a few minutes late at it . . .

Well it's hard to condemn them when this website was founded upon the worship of a fictional vampire. But then CTRL+C and CTRL+V never looked so good in leather pants. Ah, The Leather Pants. They were crucial to our birth. It was the reaction of "management" when several of us dared to discuss the Leather Pants, that gave Alexandra the motivation to make us a special thread. Those were nice pants. So, one might say that we sprang from the loins of an imaginary vampire, then?

It was the reaction of "management" when several of us dared to discuss the Leather Pants, that gave Alexandra the motivation to make us a special thread. Those were nice pants. So, one might say that we sprang from the loins of an imaginary vampire, then? Indeed, we did. It was daring to mention the loins and such that got us in trouble, and got our posts moved off the main board. There was such silliness. Our posts - me, Alexandra, Nan, Diane, and others, were so far from the teeny-bopper "Spike is sooo hot!!!!" variety. We did a little goofing around, making some silly jokes about the tight pants or whatever, but it was thrown into serious, interesting discussion. There was such an anti-Spike bias with the moderators, though. They freaked at any mention of Spike-hotness; I guess they worried that there would be an invasion of fevered teenyboppers or some such thing. I never understood it. But in the end, it worked out well for us. We had our own board where we started discussing the ep as soon as it was over (unlike the main discussion that had to wait on the review), and more "freedom of expression." The fact that we were so much more than "cheekbone-addled" sycophants became obvious to all when we started attracting smart people who weren't huge Spike fans . . . like Vlad, Rob, Rachael, and many more. I remember Patti telling me that the mods had quite a few discussions regarding our special threads but ulimately, they could see that we were a "plus" to their offering, not a minus. I was so proud of us back on Scoop Me. And continued to be through our heyday here on this board . . . and I am now too, though I wish we had more of the gang around more often, and a show as good as the Jossverse shows to discuss again.

I remember being impressed with the high quality of your discussions on ScoopMe, which I think I found shortly after the great schism. It was certainly the most interesting BTVS discussion going, combining as it did lust with intelligent insights.
