Filmjerk is reporting that the episode title for Angel 5.03 is "Unleashed" - here's what they say: Angel Episode 503 is called “Unleashed”, and what’s unleashed are werewolves! Woo Hoo! Nina is bitten by a werewolf, and we all know what that means. (We do, right? She becomes a werewolf, too.) The gang must find her before she becomes the main course in a nutty dinner party where rich people eat werewolf. Did W&H turn her on purpose, just to serve her up to rich clients? I sure hope so. Here's the link: www.filmjerk.com/nuke/article593.htmlWill they need the assistance of Oz to help tame her and to educated her in the business of locking herself up for 3 days around the full moon like Oz does.

New spoilers for ep. 3 from SpikeonAngel. Yay!
Angel Episode 3: "Unleashed"
Written By: Sarah Fain and Elizabeth Craft
Directed By: Marita Grabiak
We start in the Hollywood Hills, the gang chats and discuss Chinese food. Has anyone seen the plum sauce? Awww, a picnic, what a good idea. But now, we soon see it's all a cover for a secret meeting and Fred is checking to see if they're being spied on. Nope, the coast is clear.
Feels weird they're hiding from the company they're working for. The Senior Partners are up to something, but what? And what about Gunn? Gunn is offended by this, but the gang assumes the SP's are using his some how because they did mess with his head. Altered his mental capacity if you will. They all made a deal with the company though… everyone got something. Wes…got a pen.
Suddenly Angel is distracted he hears a noise. A scream. He snags Wesley's pen and books it. Elsewhere in the woods a girl, Nina, is getting attacked by a werewolf. It looms close about to bite into her. Its claws dig into her shoulders. Angel arrives and punches the wolf throwing it around. After a minor scuffle Angel stabs it with Wesley's pen, it crumbles to the ground. The werewolf transforms with a bone crunching sound, revealing the dead homeless person inside. Angel killed him. Drama. By this time Nina has booked it, all we hear is tires screech.
Back at W & H there's a sketch of a girl; Angel is showing it to Gunn, this is the girl who was bitten. They need to find her before she hurts anyone.
In the lab there is all sorts of activity involved in finding the girl. McManus, the dead homeless man's body lies on a table while Dr. Royce inspects it. They know everything about the werewolf but nothing about the girl. Angel is frustrated. Spike: Bloody shame lettin' the girl run off like that… Somebody's slippin'.
Dr Royce comments on the rarity of the type of werewolf it was, a 2 footer for example, walks upright. Spike notes how she's now in the kill or be killed club.
Back at Nina's house she's sleeping, mid afternoon, sweaty and bruised. She wakes and goes to the kitchen. Dazed, confused, all her senses heightened. A fly buzzing across the room is a pest, nearly drowns out her sister Jill's voice. Her niece, Amanda, asks why her neck is bruised purpled. The sound of chopping vegetables and the scent and smell of cooking hamburgers drives her crazy. The blood coming from the meat. She insists she's okay.
The team identifies lines in the tire marks and start to narrow their hunt. They decide to check traffic cameras, they figure after the incident she'd be speeding and not in the mood to be stopping for lights. Success! They find her car and are able to therefore track her address. They print out her picture, Angel identifies her and wants to go to her house, to get her.
That nite, Nina is babysitting her niece, but the scratching of the little girls pen drives her up a wall, she needs to go lie down. In her room she collapses on the floor and convulses, she starts the transformation into werewolf.
Hey, Doggy.
Angel is in the window werewolf-Nina dives at him, they fall to the ground outside at the same time Jill returns home. Uh oh.
Later, in a holding cell, Nina comes to, naked. Oh my. She's scared. She starts putting clothes on from a pile provided to her, Angel walks up telling her she's safe. She doesn't believe him. He tells her there's something she needs to see, a tape. Its her being attacked by a werewolf. Oh God. He starts to explain to her what happened and about her heightened senses. He tells her he can help her.
She says no, he didn't wake up a monster like her. He begs to differ. He tells her about being a vampire and how being a monster isn't easy to control, but it can be done. Dr. Royce and the gang talk about her mental state and possible side effects and everything, they mention using tranqs, but that won't work for the long haul. Royce suggests she get familiar items in there with her. Angel agrees to take Nina by her house but it's the middle of the day. So Fred and a team of protector types take over.
When they arrive, Jill is there to yell at Nina. Where has she been? Fred tries to make up some lies to cover Nina, but Jill won't have it. Nina tells Jill to find another babysitter, she snags her purse and a family picture. Fred takes a small stuffed animal as well. When they head out to the van, they see the door is open, the security guards have all been beaten. Not good. 4 masked men in a "Hollywood Flowers" truck descend upon them with stun guns and billy clubs. Fred gets attacked, and Nina is taken into the van by 2 of the men. One of the men calls an elegant looking man, Crane and tells him: We got the package.
In a backroom of Crane's office, Nina is brought in and shackled to a wall; a woman enters with a lab coat and surgical mask. Nina gets with a blast of water, while the woman cuts off her clothes and starts scrubbing her with a brush.
Back at W & H, Royce is singing to Lorne ("Jessie's Girl"), Lorne gestures that he's clean. Fred shows up banged up saying that Nina was taken. They try and figure out which group took her.
Spike appears, although only half illuminated, Fred follows him but he continues disappearing into walls. In one room she trips over a trash can before giving up. It's Royce's office, and inside the trash in a vile. Uh oh.
BAM! Angel slams Royce into a wall demanding to know where Nina is. Wes, Fred and Gunn discuss the vile, it's calendula, it blocked Lorne's reading (like taking valium to pass a polygraph test). Going through drawers, they find horrible pictures and knives and what's going to happen to Nina. They show Angel, he looks at it… this is a menu.
Back at Crane's it looks like Hannibal Lecter's place in "Red Dragon" There's many guests dressed elegantly. Nina is chained to a large, garnished serving table. Soon it will be moonrise, then… dinner will be served.
Angel and the gang arrive, Gunn effectively punches out the guard, he may be smart but he still likes getting his violence on. They all hope the girl is still alive. Wes says she has to be, through dinner. Once a werewolf dies it reverts back to its human state. They gotta eat her alive!
Meanwhile Fred and Spike talk, Spike is still at an in between glowing stage. She asks him where he goes when he's not here...
There...nowhere...Didn't think I was coming back... Last gasp before eternal fire and brimstone. Let's party.
He doesn't want to involve Angel or the Senior Partners. As the conversation continues, Spike's appearance becomes more solid.Fred assures him she'll bring him back. He tells her there's no reason to be dramatic.
While the gang starts fighting, Angel makes his way to Nina, who's chained down, he starts bashing at the chains with a candlestick. She tells Angel to let the people eat her, she says its better that way. He tells her there's nothing *better* about ending up in a doggy bag. She can't give up.
More fighting ensues. Crane tells Angel he's willing to let his men die, can Angel say the same? More fighting. Angel tells them this is the time they take their friend and go.
Crane tells him that his guests paid a high price to be there for a werewolf dinner, but BAM suddenly Nina (as a werewolf) bites Royce in the leg. Angel says that Crane will get his werewolf again in a month. Crana has Royce dragged away by body guards. Oh the humanity.
Angel takes Nina home and they discuss about knowing what its like to kill people. She asks him if he ever thought about disappearing.
Angel: If you seperate yourself from the ones you love, the monster wins.
There's a hint of attraction. They'll see each other next month.
Back at W & H they order up chinese food. Gunn asks if Angel thinks he has a chance with werewolf girl... Angel says she gave him a look

Found this in Kristin's chat posted today:
From karie122: Do you have any new scoop on Angel? Do tell!
Many of you are asking about Charisma, so I should tell you: There are no plans at the moment to bring her back at all this season. That could change, obviously, but that is the way the cookie's crumbling ahora. Tragic, no?

From seba_88: Are they kicking Connor's ass out of the show?
Wow there, Anger Issues Man! Yes, they are. Though he may return for an episode.

From aliciajo: I've lately heard that Spike is going to come back as a ghost. Is this true? I need to be able to touch my Spikey, so please say no!
Not so much a ghost in the strictest sense of the word (no white sheet with eye holes), but he is able to move through walls and doors and such, and he's undead. Er, I guess, unundead. And he's also cosmically tied to Angel--which drives them both mad.

Got this from spikeonangel.com's mailing list: The Haunted House Comes to Wolfram & Hart: Episode 5.04 Details for ''Angel'' Written 08-20-2003 by ChrisFaile Details on the fourth episode of “Angel” for the coming season have arrived here at FilmJerk.com and it looks like Wolfram & Hart is about to become a little more haunted by its past than usual. In the as-yet-untitled episode, written and directed by Steven S. DeKnight, six new characters are introduced— albeit only as guest or co-stars, none recurring. And one new character has a direct connection to Spike, who seems to remain in ghost form at this point as well. The episode, which appears to be this season's Halloween-themed story, centers on the W&F offices being overrun by spirits due to a void created by a former employee, with all the spirits having a past connection to the law firm. Feel free to speculate on what the following roles mean for the episode in the feedback forum below. The new characters are: Pavayne: A regal man, who possesses an 18th century, aristocratic bearing with the physical precision of a surgeon. A brutal psychopath (a la Jack the Ripper), he was nicknamed "The Reaper" and infamous for performing unnecessary surgery on his patients— the kind they don't recover from. His skill in the dark arts has allowed him to survive as a spirit in the bowels of Wolfram & Hart since the1700's. The character is listed in his 30s or 40s. Claire: In her early 20s, she is described as “hip, fun and hot.” The character is a clairvoyant brought in to lead a seance at Wolfram and Hart, which we’re guessing might be an attempt to eradicate those haunting the place. Smart, sharp, quick-wilted, she is not one to suffer fools. Trying to get to her Pilates class, she's gotta move this séance along. Lawyers #1 and #2: Listed as 25- to 35-year-old males, they are somewhat disgruntled with the new regime running Wolfram & Hart. Possible cannon fodder? Hanging Man: A distinguished attorney, he ran Wo!fram & Hart in the 1940s, until he committed suicide. His spirit is still hanging around, trapped in a void where he roams the halls of his old law firm, thanks to Pavayne’s efforts. The character is described as being in his 40s or 50s. The Glass Woman: A female spirit killed in the 1940s, she's a “Girl Friday”-type professional still drifting around W&H and suffering the shard of glass embedded In her eye. In her 20s and beautiful, she continually taunts Spike (James Marsters) throughout the episode, to his displeasure. The Armless Woman: A young female spirit (circa 1890), whose arms are severed et the elbow. She too is trapped in the void created by Pavayne. The casting directors are looking for double or single arm amputees, disabled below the elbow. DeKnight was responsible for writing and directing episode 4.17 “Inside Out,” which introduced Jasmine as the Big Bad for the season. The ScorecardExecutive Producer: Joss Whedon Co-Executive Producer: Jeffrey Bell Producer: Kelly A. Manners Writer & Director: Steven S. DeKnight Casting Directors: Barbara Stordahl and Angela Terry Start Date: August 27, 2003 Location: Los Angeles Production Companies: 20th Century Fox Television and Mutant Enemy Network: WB Network ----------------------------------- Here's the link: www.filmjerk.com/nuke/article595.html

From: www.spoilerslayer.com/archives/002399.php ATS: Episode Four News
I thought the big story of the day would be FilmJerk.com's casting information for 'Angel', Episode Four. But it was quickly followed by my usual source passing along even more detailed info. Because of this, I'm going to link to the FilmJerk article, but the major spoilers here are from the my source.
Update: Episode Title looks to be 'Hell Bound'. Angel: Hell Bound
The episode has a Halloween-theme, with what seems to be several spirits trapped at Wolfram and Hart coming out to play. Their interest seems to be mainly in Spike, who himself is obviously a spirit in the material world.
The episode opens with night falling on Wolfram and Hart, where a few associates grumble about 'Mr. Good Fang' and Fred heads to her lab. It appears that she's investigating the amulet. The next bit is Spike in the offices, hearing a woman crying somewhere. He finds the spirit of a young woman from the turn of the century (err, not Y2K). She asks Spike to hold her because something is coming and then passes through him and vanished.
There is another scene, where Angel confesses that he liked Spike's poetry. In this scene, Spike is being haunted by the spirit of a hanged man. But, much like Angel's visions in 'Amends', Spike is the only one who can see him.
Later, the 'Fang Gang' has gathered in a conference room confused because the can't find any ghosts (except for Spike). While they are discussing this, Spike is being taunted by the spirit of an armless woman. She tells Spike that "it's" coming for him. Spike begs Fred to help him, as he vanishes once again.
Spike ends up, where else, in the basement (even he's not surprised). He's followed one spirit, only to discover another. It's a young woman with a shard of glass through one eye. She tells him that the Reaper's going to come for him. That takes the glass shard out and slashes him across the cheek with it. It actually cuts him.
We then turn to Fred's lab, where she's furiously researching. Spike is there, but Fred can't see him. Spike must do something that Fred recognizes, because later Angel is insisting that Spike is gone. The mystics at Wolfram and Hart also can no longer detect him. Fred disagrees, stating that she knows what she felt, and she's trying to find a way to contact him before he's gone for good.
Cut to an office later that night. Eve has brought in a psychic, Claire, who's going to conduct a seance. Spike is in the room, at while at first it seems she's made contact with him, she's actually discovered something much worse. What's behind Spike's torment, the Reaper. It possesses Claire and ends up killing her. There is some brief consideration that Spike might have been behind that, but it's quickly dismissed.
Fred heads off to take a shower (her outfit fell victim to Claire's bloody demise). Spike appears in the bathroom and is able to concentrate enough to write the word 'Reaper' into the steam on mirror. (and I'm going to be honest, it really does appear that they are looking to pair up Spike and Fred). As Fred notices it, the mirror cracks and a shadowy form rushes at Spike and pushes him through the wall.
Spike appears in the lobby, He sees a lawyer, but it turns out to be another spirit. Spike begins to undergo attacks ala 'Hellraiser'. Nails, Stakes, lots of pain. As it reaches a climax, Spike's tormenter appears. It's a creature that calls itself Pavayne.
Elsewhere, the 'Fang Gang' seems to have a handle on what's going on. Something exists in Wolfram and Hart that feeds on spirits. That's why they couldn't detect any spirits other than Spike, and Wolfram and Hart should be overflowing with spirits of the dead. Essentially, Pavayne is the cleanup crew for the building. He cleans up the loose spirits, sending them to hell. There is an extensive scene with Pavayne showing that he can distort reality, with the various spirits (illusions of Pavayne) taunting and tormenting Spike, and Spike coming to a realization of what Pavayne is and what lies ahead for himself.
Fred is driving herself to the edge with her research, making the others wonder if she's gone Pylea-mad again. She hasn't, but she's determined to do whatever it takes to save Spike. Not only that, but she's managed to figure out a way to make him corporeal. In the meantime, Spike has begun to understand a bit of Pavayne's power. He's not just a janitor, he's a spirit himself, who figured out a way to stay out of Hell. As Spike and Pavayne spar, Fred activates the device that will bring Spike back. Unfortunately, Spike has momentarily left the room and Pavayne goes after Fred.
As Pavayne strangles Fred, Spike reappears. He has a difficult decision to make, he can either save Fred, or he can become flesh again. He pushes Pavayne away from Fred, and into the area of effect for the machine. Which explodes as Pavayne becomes flesh and blood, and the 'Fang Gang' steps in to clean up. Spike warns Angel not to kill him, as it will only make Pavayne a spirit again.
As the show wraps, Fred and Spike are talking in her lab as she disposes of the remains of her gadget. Spike's acting as if it's all right that he's still a ghost, learned a few things, like how to pick things up with some effort. Fred makes a comment that he's worth saving (and I don't think there is any denying that they are playing up Spike/Fred).
The episode ends on a very dark note, as we discover that Angel has caged Pavayne in much the same way Connor caged him. Locked away in the basement, Pavayne will spend eternity in a metal box, unable to do anything but look out through a small peephole. Fade to black
If there was any doubts that the 'Fang Gang' was being lured by the dark side, I think this episode lays those to rest. In some ways, this really does echo earlier storylines. However, there is a bit of newness to it as well. While I'm not entirely sure what is going on between Fred and Spike, I think it would be wrong to deny that the writer's aren't playing up the chemistry between the two of them. I don't think this build-up will go on much longer. Sweeps is probably going to be dominated by both the changes to the 'Fang Gang' and Spike's future. Although, since they did not take this opportunity to bring back Spike, it might be beyond Sweeps before we see a change in his status. Who knows, maybe he'll stay ghostly for the full season (somehow I still doubt that).
One thing to note. While this does have the feeling of a Halloween episode, it will air over a week before the actual holiday. Does it mean we might not have new Angel episodes throughout October? Will the WB not choose to compete if it ends up against the World Series on one of those Wednesdays?
As always, thanks to 'T'

Sounds like Spike will have the spotlight in this episode. I'm hoping, anyway. I like the fact that they bring up his poetry and ANGEL LIKES IT? MMMMM?

Funny. I love Spike, and even I don't like his poetry. But when did Angel (not as Angelus) read Spike's poetry? Maybe the newly turned William kept his scribblings with him. Maybe he wrote more after becoming Spike. Maybe he learned to write better metaphors and similes so that his poetry was actually average rather than bloody awful. Gail

Wouldn't even be surprised if newly turned William was still writing. Spike is always full of surprises.

? Thanx for posting this, Sandy! Looks like a juicy Spikecentric episode. I could definitely see a Spike x Fred pairing. It would appeal strongly to Fred because, given Spike's current state, it's a very safe relationship for her; and how can Gunn or Wesley resent an incorporeal fellow who can't even kiss her. Spike thought the teenaged Willow was cute, I could see him being attracted to Fred, particularly since she seems to be the only person in any world who is actually trying to help him, not to mention the only person in his current environment who cares about him at all. She's pretty, too. Problems will emerge if/when Spike gets his body back. Gunn is not going to allow Spike to even kiss Fred without considerable rage, even if Gunn is shagging Gwen regularly by then, he would still have strong feelings and macho proprietary instincts about Fred. Wesley would also have very strong objections. Angel will also take it upon himself to warn Fred not to get involved with corporeal Spike. Hopefully Fred will tell them all to jump in the ocean. I don't know if Fred would make a good long-term mate for Spike. If he's a corporeal human, they would have a chance; but if he's a vamp, frankly, she might not be physically strong enough for him. Then there are Spike's unresolved feelings for Buffy. And what about Fred's new friend at W&H, the one who used to be Holden Webster? We'll see... Gail

Thanks for the link. Has anyone heard anything about what they are going to explain about Cordelia?
I can't see Spike liking Fred. Drusilla was a strong woman/vampire, even when she was ill. Buffy certainly was strong. Fred just doesn't seem to fit his pattern.

Gunn would be better with someone else also - not much chemistry there, to me. Also, I am hoping this incorporeal stuff doesn't last too much longer for Spike . . . I stayed away from spoilers all last year, but this year . . . I am too anxious about all this to stay away. If I can read a reliable spoiler that makes Spike corporeal again, I will probably swear off again, feeling like I can "relax."

I too don't want Spike the ghost to last very long. But, I think Spike will enjoy it somewhat. He'll be a voyeur, which he did a lot regarding Buffy, have a power that no one else has, and find new ways to taunt Angel.
"It will get old real quick" however since he has enough of an ego to want visual, corporeal attention.

Thanks for the link. Has anyone heard anything about what they are going to explain about Cordelia? I can't see Spike liking Fred. Drusilla was a strong woman/vampire, even when she was ill. Buffy certainly was strong. Fred just doesn't seem to fit his pattern. Fred's a lot stronger than she looks; or she would never have lasted four years as a 'cow' and then a fugitive in Pylea, not to mention confronting vampires and demons and apocalypyses with the Fang Gang. It would also be interesting, and not out of character, for Spike to do something that didn't fit a prior pattern; he's broken molds before... Gail
