OK, I don't have a spoiler but I just wanted to test this new thread out.
Oh, wait. I've got one - Spike's going to be on Angel this season. Shh, don't tell anyone - no one else knows except me and you, ok?

Ah, the casting pages for the second episode of “Angel’s” fifth season (written, they say, by David Fury and Ben Edlund) turned up Tuesday! What we learn: * Spike’s a dang ghost! Well… A major character in the episode will refer to Spike as “a ghost -- close enough, anyhow.” Cleavers pass right through Spike, as do doors and walls. He mocks Angel incessantly, and Angel has no means to escape the ghostly taunting! * And check it out. Spike is somehow “stuck” to Angel! Another reason for blondie not to look up a key slayer pal! * But don’t worry, girls! Unlike Cordy’s longtime roomie Dennis, Spike can be seen. Well, he kind of blurs in and out, and even disappears at times. Ghost-style. If you will. * For the second time in two episodes, Angel will badly ruffle the feathers of his new Wolfram & Hart underlings. * For the second time in two episodes, Angel will rankle a key Wolfram & Hart client. This week’s disgruntled? One Magnus Hainsley. No relation to “West Wing’s” hot red hot and blonde Republican Ainsley Hayes. One presumes. * Hainsley, a telekinetic, runs what Angel terms a “body shop” and has uses for the recently deceased. He services an inhuman clientele. If you’re thinking snacks? You’d be wrong. (Herc affixes a finger-and-thumb “L” to his forehead.) * Hainsley stops short of dusting Angel, noting that the senior pardners still have plans for the series’ title character. * Angel pulls an “Eliot Ness” on Hainsley. Which Spike mocks as well. * Hainsley hints that Spike’s ghostly status could be temporary – if Spike teams with Hainsley against Angel. * But it turns out the flesh Hainsley initially promises Spike won’t look very Spike-like. But will nonetheless be very Buffy-boyfriend-like. IF you know what we mean. * Spike intimates that he likes Winifred Burkle in a more-than-brotherly fashion! "Angel" returns to the WB Oct. 1. "Angel" 5.2 airs Oct. 8. I am – Hercules!!
John: So, Spike is a ghost. I have faith in Joss. Although I think it's a cop out, we'll see how he does it.

Ewww....Spike and Fred? I definitely do not get that one! Can we maybe have a couple of episodes where a male figure ISN'T gaga over Fred? Just wondering. Don't get me wrong - I like Fred. I'm just tired of the "all males love Fred" angle of the show.

Fred just doesn't seem like Spike's type. Well, maybe a little - but more like a brother than a lover type. Maybe she'll dye her hair blonde. The board is all wonky - I can post here, but not on the main thread. Kind of spooky, maybe Spike is lurking. Hi Spikey! Hey, I'm more your type - a blonde anyway. Might be a smidge older than what you're used to, but - hey, could be fun. (Well, I guess I'm not *that* old - Spike is what - 126?)

I was just over at The SpoilerSlayer and it has Conviction and Just Rewards under false spoilers for season 5. Anybody know what that means or did I just read it incorrectly? There wasn't an explanation with it.

Does anyone remember the old movie "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir"? It was a rather endearing relationship between a dead sea captain and a young woman who bought his house.
I liked the ghost idea because I thought it would be a great way to have Spike arrive and also to be a total annoyance for Angel. I really don't think they will keep him that way long. W&H will help corporealize him. If they can give Connor a whole new life, they can certainly give Spike a body.
I'm with the "Yuk, not Fred group." She is so not his type.
You don't think they'll keep him incorporeal until sweeps and have him badger W&H for a body when Buffy visits?

First of all, Spike spent 100 plus years with the very brunette Dru, so no more of this Spike prefers blondes stuff. Please! The blonde thing was just a passing thing for my Spikey. Fred? I can't see it, so I hope not. It's good we can SEE Spike, but oh no - that is not ENOUGH!!! He'd better be corporeal by November sweeps. Also, what does that mean about Spike being told that if he came back, he wouldn't look like Spike, but he'd be very "Buffy boyfriend like" - "if you know what I mean." Uhmm . . . he'd be a vampire? He could still do it for five hours straight with . . . very satisfactorily-sized . . . equipment? Maybe I am being dense here, but what is this supposed to mean?

I mean - I think she'd be like the S'cubies . . . why bother to go see Spike if you can't touch him? But once you can, then yes . . . definitely, time for a visit!

What they mean is that the guy offers him a deal in which he can take over Angel's body. I don't know why AICN made with the cryptic.

There wasn't an explanation with it. Karalee - I just went over to SpoilerSlayer (one of my favorite sites) to check out the false spoiler alert. The Fales Spoiler part is just where Tensai puts the spoilers that have been confirmed as false. Nothing has been listed under them so far, so no spoilers have been confirmed as false. Let's say a spoiler was floating around that SMG was going to be in the first episode. When that spoiler is confirmed as false, Tensai then puts that spoiler under the False Spoiler list for whatever episode it was. Am I explaining this clearly?

If I wanted to watch a soap, I'd watch freakin' Passions!

I don't mind the coming back as a ghost so much as long as he doesn't stay that way for long . . . . but can just imagine him driving Angel just batty. Wonder why he is "anchored" to Angel and how he is anchored . . . maybe just a cruel joke by the PTB for accepting the deal with WH? I love Fred . . . but Fred and Spike? Not sure about that one . . . did read a fan fic once with Spike/Fred and my boy Spike wasn't very nice to her.
