I loved it when Xander and Cordy were together, it was the bestest. Loved watching the episodes when they were getting together and keeping it a secret! Me loving Charisma-Carpenter has nothing to do with this but two of my favorite BtVS earlier moments were 1) When Cordy left Harm and the gang at the end of an episode to get back together with Xander and 2) When the camera panned to a guy in the swimming baths and it was his legs then his abs and Cordy was like "that's my ideal man" or something then it went to Xanders face and she was so shocked! *memories* God dam Joss Whedon, what did CC do wrong?

I added the Cordelia news to my spoiler list. Actually, plotwise, it makes a lot more sense for her to die than blithely walk away from Angel. Cordy would have hung in there and done her best to persuade Angel to leave W&H.
Wonder what CC did to bug JW, though.
The future death, or displacement of Fred to allow a demon to possess her body, had better not last long, though. And will the real Fred be hanging around as a ghost? Hope not.
GAIL I had an awful thought - who was the last all-powerful force we saw appearing as dead people? The First Evil, wasn't it? Who, or what, is making Cordy appearances, if she's died? The whole thing seems awfully trite, too - I'd really rather have her ride off into the sunset with Xander, or even go bake somewhere like Buffy. Another thought - The rumors have it that Fred is going to be possessed by evil and (apparently) die. Isn't that a bit been there, done that, considering Cordy? I expect better of ME, I really do.

I had the impression that comatose Cordy had, in spirit, negotiated a deal with the Powers so she could see and interact with Angel. I believe it truly was Cordy and not a demon version. hmm, now I'm wondering if the Powers wore Cordy's body and memories like it did Darla's in trying to stop Connor from killing an innocent.

GAIL Thank you, I like your version better. Which is not to say that I actually like either version all that much! Grumble, grumble, grumble...

Well, it seems like Amy's gonna get her wish (of course, you should always be careful what you wish for - especially in the Jossverse). As for good Fred making a comeback, she's got Angel, Wes, and Spike on her side. Perhaps this will go a ways to explain why Fred specifically was so important to Spike earlier in the season.
Spike (to Fred): "You tried. I won't forget that." Harm's Way
Buffy (to Spike): "What you did for Dawn and me, that was real. I won't forget it." Intervention

The first spoilers from casting sides for AtS 5.17 are up at www.spoilerslayer.com, although I must say they are, at best, as clear as mud. Julia, who was going to be washing the counter in the bathroom right now but must wait for it to be vacant first

There is a minor spoiler about AtS 5.16 up at Spoiler Slayer, plus some interesting speculation from Tensai about the possible events of 5.16 and 5.17.
All of the information about 16 and 17 is still very preliminary and lacking in detail. Which since last week's double spanking, may be just as well for my equlibrium.
Julia, bored. Really bored. The Superbowl. Whoo-pee-doo-pee.

From mnbird: I love your column, but what happened to your Angel 100th episode info? I thought you were going to do a column on it. It killed me not to run it on Friday, but with my Tru Calling commitment (double on the killing me) and requisite Golden Globes stuff, it had to hold until this Friday, because it's a big, whoppin' column, much larger than usual. My sincerest apologies, but we will have interviews with all the main castmembers, plus video clips, so please, please, please check back this Friday! *****************************************************************************
From bruhahaha: Have you seen the 100th episode of Angel? Yes, and dear God in heaven, it is phenomenal. Like, early days of Buffy phenomenal. Including a heart-tugging little twist at the end, which I adored. The focal point of the ep is, of course, the return of Cordy. In Charisma Carpenter's words: "The whole episode is Cordelia and Angel, and it really just lays it all out. It's the pinnacle. We're peaking this episode for Cordelia--this is it. It all comes to this head now. So, it's going to be a great episode." She ain't lyin', home fries. ************************************************************************************
From caffeineaholic: When does Angel's 100th eppy air?[/b] This Wednesday at 9 p.m., on the WB. Appointment television, tube maven's honor. ********************************************************************************
From supiegirl: Is it true that Fred dies on Angel? Please say it ain't so. Honestly, I don't think it is so. According to someone very reliable and very close to the show: "Have no fear, though expect her storyline to kick up a notch or two." Personally, I know Joss worships the ground she walks on (they're very close, and she goes to his house to read Shakespeare), so I highly doubt that she'd be killed off. Amy loves the show, and the show loves her. ***********************************************************************************
From homegeek: There was a character named Doyle last week on Angel who had visions and was helping Spike. Is there any relation to the Doyle from the first season? Sort of. It's all explained in the 100th episode. That "character" is someone you already know./color] ************************************************************************************
From slave4spike: I am beginning to think that Kristen ignores me. Please tell me about my beloved Spike. Well, Kristen might ignore you Kristin never would! Sadly, Spike's scenes are few and far between in the 100th, but he does have a bit of a shocker when he sinks his teeth into Cordelia. ***********************************************************************************
From kim_reed02: How long does hottie Christian Kane stick around on Angel? Not very long... **********************************************************************************
From hy_pe: Spike has no hands! Andrew is fantastic! Angel is miserable! Angel was incredible! I cannot wait for Charisma! I know! I know! How good is the show lately? And FYI, the 100th ep is truly the quintessential fans' episode. (It's fan-tastic!) Watched it last night with a friend who (don't judge him for being slow) had never seen Angel or Buffy and was completely lost, which means, whoopee! The 100th episode is completely satisfying in every way for die-hard fans. Full of little inside jokes and nods to the past, including a videotape from Doyle. A very emotional and fulfilling ep.

There are now additional AtS 5.17 spoilers up at SpoilerSlayer, also, plus more mumblings about what Spike's up to in 15-17. Julia, not actually awake, nor desiring to be so

Also not happy about Eve's replacement - just what we needed (not) - another male. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Anne, not happy, no, not at all.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Anne, not happy, no, not at all. No wonder Harmony's looking for a soul; it's the only way she's gonna get away from the testosterone poisoning! Goddess, but that place is getting more testosteroned than a male locker room! (which means that Amy and Mercedes will either be treated like "one of the boys" or put on pedestals. the former, I'm sure.)
