Little things I loved, which probably have already been covered: Micah's a Talent too! Woohoo!! Matt punching his "buddy" in the face. I think he kinda deserved that one. The way that Special? Agent Hanson (Marcie) just calmly accepts that this is X-files territory, that she has a useful resource at hand for it, and calmly accepts that Radiation Boy is an X-files prisoner who needs special treatment, and goes about arranging for it. Also? The way Agent Hanson set it up for Matthew to take ORAL EXAMS!!!!! for his detective position!!!! HAH! She knowingly set it up for a telepath to take oral exams. ;D awesome. Every moment we saw Hiro. "I wish I had super-strength, too!" Peter taking the heat off of Nathan, for his wife's sake, it seemed like; while not condoning Nathan's cheating: just keeping it out of the press. The bloody least Nathan could have done was arrange for a PICTURE of the missing panel. The fact that Heidi knows that her husband is telling her bullshit, but is willing to forgive him, and give him a chance: I just hope it's the last chance she has to give him, that Niki was a one-time thing. The fact that Micah knows very well, thank you, that Jessica isn't his regular mom, and wants to speak with her, please. Other things as I come across interesting comments to respond to..

Heroes don't run; bad guys do. So, DL is a bad guy? DL is a man who is caught in a very bad situation with a wife who has a leetle bit of an Anger Managament issue. Or, rather, her body-sharing evil twin does. So DL, knowing that he won't be believed that the skinny little white girl can smash concrete, is running like a sensible person. I think it's about his only option: whether or not taking Micah along is necessary? Well, Jessica doesn't seem to be hurting him.... but DL doesn't know that.

I think he's just a new mix in the puzzle. I also think he has a power, but i can't figure out what it is. Yup, that too--he's a new face for us. I suspect he's able to emit heat and/or radiation, but he doesn't seem to have a lot of control over it--it sounds like it mostly happens when he's upset. So what were the two little marks on radiation boy's neck and Matthew's neck? Tattoos from Mr. Bennett indicating that they've been tagged, scanned, and released? And there was a speech in there somewhere in the episode about heroism that gave me chills, that reminded me of some of the finest moments of AtS, though now I can't remember when or where it was. Dammit.

I bet he's just seen the differences over the past few months. Seen Niki and seen . . . um, what's her name. And just . . . knows. That she's not his mom. Jessica. Were we there when Niki found that out, btw? We were there, I think, last week, with the mirror conversation: I just don't think they included the introduction, or something.

The car accident was sooo very cool. Hiro told Micah about saving his dad and the woman, but I don't think anyone saw DL reach through the glass and open the car door. And the comic didn't show it? The comic stopped before they got to Vegas.

And was it only me that noticed the pill box on the driver's lap? what pill box? and speaking of pill, was the "pill" the cop took really for radiation? lol or am i just getting paranoid Little "Days of the week" pill portioner next to the driver. And I think it was a true medication to bind with whatever isotopes he may have absorbed and allow them to be flushed out of his system. Agent Hanson has been very matter-of-fact about the entire situation since she started believing Matt. Oh, and by the way, Hi there, New Spike Fan!! How ya doing, and it's a pleasure to meet you!

Feel free to join me in the paranoia, 'cuz I wondered that too. I think FBI woman is being a bit too accepting of all this. I wonder what else she knows or what larger agenda she has. Of course, I am now predisposed to assume conspiracy, since I am a fan of Lost and Veronica Mars. ;D I just think she's a big X-files fan. After all, she probably transferred into the FBI and changed her name from Marcie after she became visible again, after a few successful assasination missions gave her self-confidence back. Hey, sometimes you just run into people that accept that the weird shit is happening, and do their best to take it in stride. This show has much more of the flavor of a Koontz novel than a Lovecraft story, in that fashion: which means decreased gory deaths and madnesses. 'Cause when the house yells "Get Out!" you don't say "It's my imagination;" you just leave.

A few other random thoughts . . . . I really like the actress that plays the artist's girlfriend who now is getting involved with Peter. Her grief at her father's death felt so real - a nice piece of acting, I thought. I felt it. Speaking of which, the dream that Peter had, as her dad was dying? Really beautiful! And the conversation? All about love and how saying / seeing what is real being his power, and then the wonderful flying . . . Man. Just beautiful. I liked how he and the dad seemed to have been, like, sharing the dream, maybe? Like that's what the dad saw as he was dying too? And it brings her further into the picture too. She's not just falling for Peter, she's also maybe starting to believe a bit about the possiblility of them doing something important - about saving the world. The running gag about the brunch was a nice sly bit of humour. "I never kid about family brunch." "We never had family brunch." "We always have brunch." "Since when?" ;D I liked the tug of war between Peter and Nathan. A bit of blackmail, a bit of bullying, a bit of coming instinctively to your brother's aid and throwing your own rep on the grenade to help him out while at the same time knowing you can use this to get what you want. That seems like brothers. Sort of like the "love/hate/you annoy me so much but I care about you" thing we saw between Claire and her brother. We also saw matching worries about what might happen if people know. Claire afraid her parents will be sorry they adopted her. Nathan afraid they'll be locked up. Also, I found it really interesting that Nathan was being so dismissive of what they could do. "Flying around. How is that gonna help anyone?" Even though he mentions just a few sentences later that it saved him from being kidnapped. What it brought to my mind was what his brother is learning. On its own, maybe it can't help anyone. But when they all start meeting up and banding together and using their powers in a combined way? That's when they're gonna save the world. Oh, I loved that bit at the beginning with Simone's father... his dream conversation with him.

Talk, damn you!! ;D I liked the nice parallels and themes we got. Like sharing or not sharing info - why many of the heroes want to hide and why they are being "outed". Like brothers/siblings - the push and pull of them - fighting and still loving each other, helping each other out, at least eventually. And the way the various people are starting to meet up in little clumps. Hiro and Micah and his dad. The cop and the radiation fire guy. Isaac and Peter. I think the clumps are significant in more than one way. My new game: group the Heroes into "good" and "bad" - how do you predict they'll fall out, if we assume we have superheroes and supervillains? So far, I've got only three in the "bad" column: Nathan, Jennifer/Niki, and Sylar. I think. Micah is a wild card, IMO - he could go either way. I don't think Nathan's a Supervillain type. He seems to be more of a garden-variety arse, and if he's not gonna use his flying for evil-laugh-inducing purposes, he's just an arsehole politician with an unsual talent that's a bit more extreme than wriggling his ears. A garden-variety villain. Niki is in a Jekyl/Hyde struggle at the moment, even though she let her other half loose to go after DL, she is in panicked mom mode. Sylar's been the only one to actually do any evil gloating, in his message to Chandra Suresh.

She wasn't doing the pretty crying thing; she looked like she'd been hit by a Buick--and that then the Buick backed up and ran over her again. **nods**

None of us is talking! The wonders of IM. That's all well and good for those of you on East Coast/Central time, but it deprives us West Coasters of conversation. They always forget we exist. Hey, it also deprives us "non-IM'ers". But I think we got the ball rolling pretty good after the show.

You know, if you're anticipating radiation that makes a Geiger counter scream like that, you should probably be wearing protective gear. They might both be in for a nasty case of skin cancer, not to mention losing their hair.... On the up side, neither of them will have to worry about birth control ever again. Hiro makes me sad, thinking about what's gonna happen to him. Probably. He's so very naive and idealistic, and so joyful...and I know that awful things are going to break him of those tendencies. **nods** I loved that glimpse of the uberhot Future!Hiro, but he definitely looked as though some of the . . . . joy, I guess?, was lost. From what he'd seen and experienced and so on? But then again, maybe not. Maybe he'll add the experiences to become more knowledgable and prepared, but not let it kill his basic . . . Hiro/hero-ness?

I vote for either Peter or Micah as one who could bring the two sides together maybe. Like, someone who can see them all for what they are or could be?
