I looked carefully at the shooting scene last night, since I was cuing up the tape to watch Life anyway. That's Noah walking away through the crowd.
I suspect he saw killing Nathan as a way to protect his family, Company orders or no. I don't think Bob realises what he's getting into; Bennet is more family man than Company man.

Well, I’ve gotta say the sophomore slump continued for this ”midseason?” finale for me. While there’s much I still like about Heroes, there’s a lot of “meh” or “ugh” happening too.
-I really didn’t want Sylar back. Big agree with Sue’s advice to TK. Okay, Lola’s comment about having the character grow and evolve could work…the blood also cures Sylar’s mental illness, and he’s a good guy, and no one believes him, or he gets a chip and he dies being truly heroic and…oh wait…
*Still underwhelmed with KB’s Elle. There were a couple moments in this episode….but she just hasn’t jelled for me.
*The stupid character syndrome is annoying. Plotting needs to be developed so that there’s more fatalistic, “forced into it” kind of scenarios, or plotted so the characters behave with rational, though perhaps flawed, reasoning. They ALMOST achieved that with Noah.
*Those Twins….what a waste of time….
*I will miss Nikki. My favorite “group” was the family unit with DL and Nikki and Micah.
*Overall, there just wasn't enough coherence, imo. The conflicts seem random, which keeps the tension down. And we don't see enough of the Company's real goals and how they pose a threat. Are they even the bad guys? For a bit, Mo-mo seemed to think they were deserving of his support. Does he still think so? To continue with the Buffy comparisons being made - is the company like W&H? Ambiguity can be written to develop the story rather than to hinder it, which I think is the present case.
Okay, that was way more bitching than I intended for a show I actually like. I think, when I like a show a lot, I set my expectations very high…I’m doing it with TW too so maybe I need to stop with the critiques while watching and just “enter the moment” and enjoy…

Part II Poor Sylar. People are always betraying him. Paper Company got rid of its records? Elle discovers Sylar is back. Nathan and Matt flew to Odessa. OK, we don't talk about that, ever again. Hee. Nathan must be pretty strong if he could carry Matt all that way. West could barely carry Daddy Bennett for 3 seconds. Hiro is still excited to see Nathan. Matt: Who's this guy supposed to be? Hee. West: I liked my secrets. Erm... Aw, even Mr. Muggles leaves Claire. Daddy Bennett returns. Maya and Molly bonding. Mayas going to go ballistic when she finds out that Alejandro's dead. Sylar has the same strain of the virus as Nikki. OK, I loved the way Sylar rolled his eyes at Maya. And I kind of don't mind that he shot her. (but why did he have a gun in his hands?)

Part III
You and I have trust issues, doctor. Hee.
I still think Sylar should have died in the season one finale, but he is getting some good lines in this episode.
Bennetts confront ResurrestedDaddy.
Peter and Matt push each others minds.
Aw, only Nathan can set Peter rights.
Hiro taught Adam to be a villain. Kinda like Unbreakable.
Adam references Noah and the Flood as justification. Second Chances. And I'll be their hero.
Ooh, I like the music here.
VialCam!

Part IV
Peter stops the vial from breaking. Just in the nick of time! Then he destroys the virus by incinerating it.
Cleaning up the parents' mess.
No more secrets. Nathan proposes going public. Unfortunately, they're still being watched and his plans are bound to be thwarted.
Nathan wants Matt "to make sure everyone listens to [him]." I don't like the sound of that.
Nikki fighs even though she doesn't have any powers. You go, girl!
Monica makes it out but Nikki doesn't.

Coda
Hiro buried Adam alive. that's fitting. And also kind of like Sloane on Alias. Also means that Adam (in all his emaciated glory) will be back after the next time the ground gets up rooted by an earthquake or a bull dozer or something.
Elle is won over by Suresh's gratitude.
If I hadn't listened to Adam- If I hadn't listended to Linderman-
Are Nathan and Peter going to kiss?
Nathan's press conference.
This is a nice speech and all, but seriously, everybody would have stopped listening after the first couple of sentences. Except, oh yeah, Matt is making them listen.
Nathan's shot! Wow, I wasn't expecting that. Also, Nathan probably should have lead with "I have superpowers."
So, whodunnit? Mama Petrelli knows.
So, was it Midas? The Man With No Name?
dun Dun DUN!!!!

This second season was definitely floundering. Hopefully the writing can get back on track and they can avoid any more studio interference. I'm guessing that volume 3 is going to be about who killed Nathan and the Heroes outing themselves to the world. And maybe TMWNN can get a name? And a plotline? Pretty please? And I guess Micah will continue to live with Uhura?

I wondered when Nathan started with all the noble talk if he was going to be the one to buy it. Looked like Noah walking away in the crowd after Nathan was shot. Momma is a really bad dude. There is not much of the older generation left, but it looks like next season, whenever or however that will be, will have the younger generation pitted against the older. I wonder why the virus that Peter nuked shined the God-send sign in his hand when it turned to dust. I thought that was a bit weird.Poor Hiro. How is he going to survive the guilt of what he did to Kensei. He's too good for it not to affect him. Poor Hiro - he lost his flying man. One hilarious last moment between Nathan and Matt - which reminded me of when Angel hitched a ride on the back of Spike's motorcycle. I'm going to miss Nathan - but maybe, as Lola mused, he doesn't die - again. Now, that would be cool. Dude! I didn't notice that!

Yeah, the twins did turn out to barely matter in the end. And, yeah! Whatever did happen to Caitlin?

On the "get rid of Sylar and move on to a new big bad" band wagon. Tim! watch some Buffy! check out how arcs are written and then resolved/! **nods** I can understand becoming fond of a character and not wanting to let him go (boy can I understand that ;D), but then you need to have the character grow and evolve and so on. That's kind of the way I feel. Except I don't have any qualms about killing off characters. But if characters are going to exist prominently in a story, they should do things and be interesting. Sylar barely did anything this season.
