Did anybody tape the special? I've been so down with dental problems, I didn't even remember it was on last night. I'd really like to see it. Diane U

I couldn't find the show scheduled anywhere in my area. I don't have any channel called WE. If anyone could make me a copy, I'd be happy to pay for it. Thanks. Lori Del Rossi

In regards to her locks (which is now a common and lovely look within the African-American community), Buffy said: "Also, in terms of hair care, you really want to say 'what kind of impression am I making in the workplace?' 'Cause that particular look.."

Alexandra says: "What about Spike only wearing a towel? Around his neck? Must add that to my new occasional wardobe list. Now I have to ponder color...
Wow, Alexandra, I liked Gail's list of outfits (thanks Gail, enough daydreaming material to last for quite a while) - but you have a truly special gift! On towel color, since its going to be up near his face, I'd say blue to match the eyes - no doubt it's his eyes that are the focus here?
How am I supposed to work with all this stuff in my head? Whew. Must think about WORK. Back to WORK.

Sweet!! Someone got it.
That is my favorite movie of all time, hands down. Kevin Spacey is my dream man (back off Ellie!)
Here's my $20 - don't go crazy spending it in one place!

Tried posting to the new board and was totally lost. I did get logged in, but after that...things went downhill.
Suggestions...instructions?

Lee P - use the "Reply" button to post. It is really mislabeled. If you hit Reply, what you are doing is simply posting to the thread.
The subject header will default to the thread name - just change it to whatever you want.
Use the little "quote" button at the top right of someone's post to reply directly to that person.
Play around and see. We won't make fun of you (well, not TOO badly) if you screw up here and there. We've all done it.

I forgot the show was going to be on until right before it started and, of course, had no blank tape. Patti, when you've had a chance to watch your tape (you did say you taped it?), I'd be interested in knowing what you thought.
I will stick my neck out and say that I thought it was very uneven in quality. For every interesting statement or tidbit of knowledge, there was something cheesy, patronizing. or straight out of "Red Shoe Diaries." Can you tell I wasn't impressed?

Ellie, you asked about this song in the last part, and I finally remembered to ask Paul about it. If anyone has already answered this, good for you!
Artist: Heather Nova Song: It's Only Love Album: South
Paul remarked at the time the show aired that the song was from the Heather Nova album he's been listening to. He says "South" is about two years old.

I taped it - it was good in places. Could have talked more about Buffy. If you want to borrow it, I'd be happy to send it out to you (if I could get it back).
Marti Noxon made an interesting comment about how she thought that the reason *some* of us are attracted to the whole vampire mistique (bad boys), is that we are not ready, or not able, to really commit to a long-term and stable relationship. Being attracted to a vampire feels *safe*, in an odd way, because we know that it will eventually end (badly, probably- but we don't think about that part).
I had to really think about that, in regards to my own relationships. I think not having a good relationship with my father might have something to do with it.
Anyway - my tape is your tape.

Okaaay, let me see if I have this right. On the new board:
One uses the "Reply" button to post a new message.
One uses the "Quote" button to reply to an existing message.
On the new board, therefore:
"Reply" = "Post" and "Quote" = "Reply".
For some odd reason, I have Tom Lehrer's song about the New Math going around in my head. Looking Glass Land, anyone?
Just teasing, we'll all get the hang of it sooner or later (me, probably later, which is why there are Post-Its all over the computer desk).

Everyone's gone to work and school, so I could finally appreciate your LOVELY wallpaper. Drool. Sigh. I do love men with high cheekbones... and the rest is outstanding, too.
Thank you, I feel much better now.

Rae, I've finished and sent off SSS Part 17 to Vlad, which completes the parts I signed up to do. For my sins, Part 17 was the one that contained the Steve Martin's dog incident, so I had to go all through that again. However, it also contained some of the finest discussion we've ever done, so it must be preserved and cherished.
I've reluctantly adopted the "quick-and-dirty" page-at-a-time approach using MS Explorer (instead of Netscape, which I otherwise prefer to use), and it's true--archiving DOES go much faster that way.
I notice that many of the parts above 20 still seem to have nobody signed up to do them. I suggest you put out another call for volunteers and get them all signed up for: time's getting short here.
If, after such a call, some parts remain unclaimed, sign me up for a couple. I can do more. I'd just like a break at the moment, since I've been doing pretty much nothing else for the last 4 days....
I want to frivol a little before I have to actually get down to work again.
Nan
