On Slayage, the OPINION piece revealed that the author is actually a Xander-Buffy shipper. It looks like there are two of you in the whole world. Who would have thought it was possible?

Hi. I'm hystertical. The disk I was working on ate my chapter. I can't get it back because it doesn't seem to be saved. I'm going to have to reconstruct it. Well, back to sobbing unconsolably

Har har. There are, in fact, quite a few Buffy/Xander shippers in the world, thank you very much. :-) Most of them frequent sites that cater specifically to them.Generally their feelings are shouted down on public forums like ScoopMe or BronzeBeta by the vast majority who want Buffy with Spike and/or Angel. The S'cubies, thank God, are more tolerant of the occasional non-believer. It's actually sort of funny. The Buffy/Xander shipper sites had become so vicious in their attacks toward Spike that I became turned off by them. It turns out the place for me was a little corner of the Misc. board that pays tribute to the very character I'm supposed to hate. I just can't find it in myself to do that. I love the old vamp. Sometimes I wish I didn't; it might be easier if I felt the same disrespect toward him that I did Angel back in his days on BTVS. Truth is Spike has wormed his way into my heart because he's earned Buffy's love in a way that Angel never had to. I find a small part of me hoping for her to finally reach acceptance of his affections. I just don't like the idea of Xander left completely in the cold by it. I'd like Buffy and Xander to have great love and respect for one another, like brother and sister. He at least deserves that much.

That just sucks, Rusty. For you, I mean. Sorry. That's an awful lot of work to have go down the drain.

#1 Rusty - I think Nan and Spring probably answered your question but I've just been archiving the entire thread. I suspect trying to edit out posts would take forever. Nan/Spring - Thanks , I'll clean up the list of other posts with your changes. Spring - Ahh, the "Paste Special" is a godsend. Thanks for reminding me of it! Rae Hanson

Rob has submitted for the S'cubies' enjoyment the third chapter in his Triangles story. Nicely done Rob! Much has been said about how you capture the voices of the Buffy's regular characters, but I would like to mention how well you "voice" the new characters. Katzebach, the Colonel Martineau, Leveque and others all have unique and distinct voices. I can truly distinguish the thoughts and mannerisms of each one and find myself even "liking" the bad guys just for their personality. Triangles: Chapter 3 can be found only on the S'cubie Website in the Chronicles of Truth area. Enjoy.

Due to technical difficulties (I can't actually say what she called her computer) Chapter 11 of Legions of Gorath by Rusty Goode has been temporarily postponed. I apologize for any inconvenience.

If anyone is interested, the official James Marsters website has autographed photos of the man for sale, $40 each. That's a pretty good price -- most places I've seen selling autographed photos of people as popular as he is, they've been priced $60 and up. Also, since it's his official site, you can feel pretty confident they aren't fakes (the signatures looked pretty authentic to me on the web scans). Here's the address. www.james-marsters.com/index.htmForgive me if you already knew, but then if you didn't, just seems to me this is the sort of information the members of the Soulful Spike Society need. Is he naked? That would cheer me up. Actually, to cheer me up James Marsters would have to arrive naked at my front door with my lost chapter clutched in his muscular fist. And then we'd have to put my husband into a catatonic state of amnesia and lock him in the closet. Doable, but a difficulty rating of 9&3/4. Excuse me, I have to go kick the dog.

If I overwrote a file by saving a previous version on top of it, is it in there anywhere on the hard drive, or am I totally screwed? Undo is not an option. I had an employee whose computer ended up with a forensic technopagan to determine whether his death and my plea of inmsanity was justified by looking at hidden deleted files. Does that only work if the files haven't been saved over? Just kidding about the death. The insanity plea, not so much.

Hi, Rae - don't believe we've met as I've been sorta "in absentia" for awhile, busy with "real life" work. But I do want to do something to help the SSS Thread Archival Project, so I'll volunteer to archive one of the SSS threads. Just let me know which one; doesn't matter to me. BTW - pardon my density, but what does "Spike 'O' Centric Threads" mean? I did read the post; maybe it's just the "O Centric" part that threw me. Thanks!

Oh, oh, oh. I have stumbled back home after dinner and drinks at a work event, and thought I would log on to see what is going on here. And what drama for my poor, blubbery self! First, I cried to read of Rusty's tragedy (sucks! my sincere sympathy to Rusty). I got weepy. Next, I laughed to read that Rae really thinks I did Part Two and will archive Part Seven. Hee! Gotya! I am an unreliable liar. Take that to the bank. OK. No, No. I did Two, and will do Seven, just not now. Then, I laughed and laughed to read that Rusty can only be cheered up by naked James, at her door, WITH her lost chapter, and her husband has to be unconscious also. Golly. Personally, I could go for naked James right now - sorry, Rusty, I wouldn't ask for your chapter. I would hate to knock my younger son, who is home tonight, unconscious, so I'd have to take James over to the motel. I went alone to the award dinner, instead of taking my boyfriend as I have the last few years - that's cause he's my ex now. Which is good, so good that I had a much better time without him. So, I should not call him, 'cause I bet he would come over, and that would be bad. I would be sorry, and it would make me a dirty girl. No one wants that. No. Can't do it.Yes, I am really in the mood for some naked James, which I blame Rusty for even mentioning. But he is in Cleveland with Patti. That wench!! Wow. I'm an angry drunk. Who knew? :-)
