Rob, Rob, Rob - Buffy DOES have respect for Xander. Buffy wubs Xander. She's told him so, she got all choked up just listening to him express his trust in her in that last episode. She loves him like a true brother, and she values him tremendously. No she's not been perfect in expressing it, but that's a two way street for them - as it is in all relationships. But she loves Xander. This is so plain to me, and I also think Xander knows that she loves him. I guess I'm not surprised to read of rampant Spike-hatred among B/X fans, but I agree - that just gets you nowhere. And I'm glad you found a home with us.I don't hate Angel, but I can't get into B/A because it was just too idealized, too high school - too paternal, not two adults treating each other as equals. They had some chemistry, but it was just so far from anything I would want in a relationship. That's what it really comes down to - not "who is best" in any objective way, and not "who Buffy obviously loves the most" for which there is no real answer - whether you're a B/X or B/X or B/A fan has to do with who you identify with the most, and what your personal preferences are.

Wow Rae, that's a mighty big tool Alyson's got her hands wrapped around. Very intimidating. Wonder if it belongs to Alexis ....As for Rip It Off, the critics haven't been kind. I hear Alexis did a horrible job in it (at least, none of the critics could get past his accent). It's surprising, because ever since the Angel ep "Billy" where he went all Jack Nicholson ala The Shining and stalked Fred through the Hyperion, I've thought that man was one of the best actors in the Buffyverse. They have given Alyson her props for playing her most breakout role yet, something completely unlike Willow in every possible way. I don't care if the critics hated it. Alyson's in it, I have to see it.

//Is he naked? That would cheer me up.//
I'm sorry, Rusty, but Joshua and I looked all night last night for nekkid Spike pictures. If it were as easy as going to his official web site, we'd have been done a lot sooner.
//Excuse me, I have to go kick the dog.//
That's not Steve Martin's dog up to his old antics again, is it?

//If I overwrote a file by saving a previous version on top of it, is it in there anywhere on the hard drive, or am I totally screwed? Undo is not an option.//
Generally when you delete a file, it isn't removed from your computer but instead tagged with a code that makes the computer ignore it's existence. It can be retrieved until at some point it's overwritten, that is, until some other file takes over the physical space on the disk or hard drive previously occupied by the deleted file. However, when a file is replaced by another file with the exact same name, it's generally overwritten immediately. There is software available that can deep-read your hard drive for fragments, but that's the sort of stuff that is rare, expensive, time consuming, and generally only used by the FBI when trying to see if someone tried to delete those pesky child pornography files before going to jail. Sorry.

Hiya Miss P. Nice to meet ya . You asked what I meant by "Spike-O-Centric"... I just meant centered around/specifically regarding Spike/JM (as opposed to the other posts that were debates by S'cubies on other subjects, etc). And, as long as Spring isn't pulling my leg too hard (and actually doing part 7 , the next on the list is Part 8. Rae Hanson

OK Rob. I read your next chapter. I don't want to give away developments, so I'll just say I am intrigued by the prospect of what will happen when Buffy goes through with the plan everyone voted on. That should be some tour she takes. My imagination is just going wild with this one . . . oh wait. I forgot again. This is YOUR story. Keep up the good work, schweetheart.

Spring, I think you need a naked JM more than I do right now. If he shows up with my chapter tho maybe you could pass it on over.If it's any consolation I'm trying to catch up with your blood alcohol level.Unfortunately I can't write for S**t when tanked. I don't know how all those famous writers did it. I do, however, feel the transient blessing of a tequila calm on the horizon.P.S. I'd never kick my dog. The damn thing owns my life. I think she even managed to get my husband to put her name on the mortgage. I do know she owns the bottom half of the bed. I've been sleeping in a fetal position for 10 years.

Yes, yes, I am doing Part Seven. Do I gotta do, like, the whole thing? OK, OK. I know I gotta. And I will. Because complete and thorough is the S'cubie way. Hey. We need a motto. Wait. We have one. Well, we need, like a . . . mission statement. Let me think on this.

ouch! If you had "deleted" the file, you might have been able to recall it. Unfortunately you did the one thing that almost assuradly got rid of the file. You "overwrote" it. This means that you actually manipulated the little magnetic stuff to be something else. If you had jsut deleted it, all you would have done was "'tag' the file as not important anymore and should this particular space on the disk be needed in the future, go ahead and write over it." That is why if you dispoise of a computer to someone else, you should not only delete all the files on the hard drive, but then fill the hard drive with "garbage" files" and then "delete" those. And yes, floppy disks work in almost an identical manner to hard drives.

Oh, darn, and here I was thinking that was YOUR tool David...Well, I'd have to agree with the critics on his accent. When he first spoke, I did a double take thinking I heard "Wesley". Of course, I think he's a cutie so I dealt with it because I got to see him. The movie isn't horrible. It isn't the best movie I've seen but it isn't the worst either. Then again, I'm easy... err, that is, I'm easy to please. Ok, I'll just give up on that line of thought. I think the movie just had a slow start but, as soon as it started to pick up the pace, it got much better.

You people are BAD! I go away and when I come back you've all had a big old posting party without me. I think I'll go pout now. But before I do:
Alexandra: I'll keep my eyes out for the tape, but Canada Post isn't renouned for their fast service.
Joshua: An excellent journey in search of nekkid Spike pics. Kudos. Now get back to studying. See how hard I am working on my thesis?
Rae: You will find that many of the Miscellaneous parts created by the ScoopMe editors seem incomplete and some even list the posts out of order. The reason for this is that they were pulled out of the episode board and many people, like me, would preface each message with a discussion of the current episode and conclude with the Spikecentric part. Those posts didn't get moved. Okay, off to e-mail Nan and logoff. Dial-up roaming is just sooooo expensive.

Thanks for the compliment, but if it were, and Alyson really did have her hands on it like that, I somehow don't think she'd be planning to wed Alexis in October. I could be wrong, though ...

Thanks David. Sigh. It was really good too. I generally deal with unanticipated crisis pretty well. You, know: Excuse me Ma'am, the rebels are about to take the airport and there's a class 10 Typhoon coming in. If we don't take off now we'll never make it. Peachy. (Takes small, sexy cigar out of the corner of her mouth.) LET'S DO IT! I took a suitcase in the head over N. Korea in '95, son. I just hope they aren't going to cancel the complimentary cocktail service once we're in the air.
