Spring, great analysis again!! You work wonders with episodes. Marvelous stuff. Pangs is underrated because it's so funny. James Marsters showed me what a gifted comic actor he is in this episode When he does his "Sorry!! Sorry about that Chief!!" line, I laugh every single time. Thanks for the kind words about the chapter. I worked especially hard on the rather brief Buffy-Spike sequence. I wanted to make that seem as real as I could for the majority of the S'cubies. It was intended to be my little gift to all those in here who would love to see them together....a S'cubie love letter from Rob, if you will. I hope I got close, at least.

UPNless in Albany is worse than Sleepless in Seattle. At least Sleepless can rewind and watch again. You ARE taping, aren't you? It won't be THAT late, will it? Truly, it dost sucketh.

I mean, I'm sure the homes here must have UPN. Something's just plain wrong with the hotels, though!I've gotten my fill of attention now, and must depart for the evening. Carry on. I'll be back Thursday, so as not to get spoiled.

Athene, Replying. Speaking of which--did you see the post several (many?) pages back titled "Athene--CT"? In it I mentioned I was going to be at UC June 5-8. I didn't press for a reply because I thought, well, maybe she doesn't want to try to actually meet one of us. Which is okay, but since we are talking REPLIES!!!

Sue, must have missed it never saw it! By UC do you mean UConn? I'll be at Moonlight Rising from the 6th through the 8th unfortunately. Since my job is working with colleges, how cool would it be if I could arrange to be there on the 5th? Let's talk. Night, all! Athene V

Did anyone mention the really obvious Harry Potter books? My 12-year-old daughter enjoys them immensely, and speaking as a Christian (in the event that's your lean), they don't deserve any of the anti-Christian backlash they've received (they're no more Satanic than Tokein or C.S. Lewis).

What a beautiful sentiment, Vlad. I don't usually post as much as I'd like (although tend to wax verbose when I do post) but much of it is that I peruse the board at work and don't have much time. I love you all. You've turned from anonymous names on a board to real friends. I especially think thanks go to Vlad and his background helpers who've done such an amazing job in trying to keep us together.

There are markets that don't have UPN stations. You'd think that following indoor plumbing, it would be the next thing installed. I was in Rehobeth Beach, Delaware for the very final episode of Star Trek: Voyager, and guess what, no UPN. I called my parents and asked them to tape it for me since I didn't know it wasn't going to be on in Delaware -- they recorded an episode of Deep Space Nine (that I'd already seen). I had to wait until the end of the whole bloomin' summer before I finally got to see it; thank goodness they finally re-ran it before taking it off the air.And now that my pure geekeness has been anounced to the whole world, I'm going to go sit in a corner with Andrew ...."We are as GO-ODS!!!"

I was in Vegas in May 2001 and missed "The Gift." Can you imagine watching all through season 5 and finding out that your (expensive, thank you vey much) hotel room has UPN, but not the double-you-bee? Man, that hurt. I feel for you. Look on the bright side....no one taped it for me. Well, she tried, but I got Out For Justice from TBS instead. BTVS to Steven Seagal....now THAT's a rapid dropoff in quality. Buffy would kick Seagal's ass anyway. This reminds me of those elementary school debates about which superstar could kick the other's butt. My oldest friends and I still argue about a real life Bruce Lee-Steven Seagal matchup. For the record, Bruce kicks everyone's ass in real life. On film, though, Buffy would knock them all into next week. This has degenerated into a meaningless post. You see, that's what I was trying to avoid. Dammit. Dave, thanks for the correction. That word just didn't look right.

Stop it, already. It's a love fest in here until it gets dark. Then things tend to get a little interesting on certain weekends when some of us have a tad bit too much of the happy sauce. Seriously, though...this is one of the most fun and rewarding experiences I've had in a long, long, time. Thank God I found you people before BTVS is over.

I love when channels do thier programming like this. Tonight on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" UPN, the part of Faith will be played by .... Eliza Dushku. Tonight in the movie "True Lies" on FX, the part of Ahnald's daughter will be played by .... Eliza Dushku. Hey, everybody -- it's National Eliza Dushku Day!

I'm across the river in Troy. UPN is part of the Cable Network in the area. I can't imagine a hotel without cable. Check out the television in the bar area where you are going to dinner. As you've probably noticed by now, the sidewalks in Albany get rolled up after six o'clock and all us State workers leave.
