That is correct, Nan. The picture has to be out on the internet somewhere. Thing is, if it's on your HD, then odds are you downloaded it from somewhere (unless you downloaded it from something like Kazaa), and if you can recall where, then you can maybe make a link to it.
Also, if you have your own webpage, you can upload the picture to it and then link to it from ScoopMe. I will caution that I did this last night using a pic I uploaded to the S'cubies site, and for some reason it wouldn't display. I don't know why at all. I tried several times to make sure I wasn't making any typos or other errors and it just wouldn't work. So, if that doesn't work, don't be shocked.

Yes, I spotted the connection between "Lovers Walk" and "Intervention" as soon as I saw the sweater Willow wears in "Lovers Walk". It's gotta be the one that Spike refers to in "Intervention" when he describes to Willow what she'd been wearing the year before when he'd felt like biting her. Here's the line from the shooting script:
"Remember last year? You had on that fuzzy pink number with the lilac underneath... (nods knowingly)"
Immensely satisifying continuity there.

Yes, I caught the reference, in Willow's dorm room, to the fuzzy pink sweater in Lovers Walk as well - but I sure thought Willow had a faulty memory when she says "You played the blood lust kinda cool."
Well, for Spike, maybe leaning all over her, stroking her hair, getting into vamp-face and telling her he hasn't had a woman in weeks passes for "playing it kinda cool".

Point taken. In "Lovers Walk" Willow did have to warn him against having her in any way so she knew damn well what he was about. But then Spike goes on to say that he doesn't like to be too obvious so maybe he considered his overtures toward Willow at the time to be somewhat subdued.

If the TV Guide is to be believed, the second episode tonight(7 p, Eastern Time-FX) is that very "Lovers' Walk" we've been waxing nostalgic about.

My onscreen episode list for Tivo updated last night and while I was checking to be sure my Season Pass was set for Buffy on UPN and to see what episodes were on FX tonight I noticed it had added the new Buffy episode on February 4. I really tried not to read it, but I couldn't restrain myself. I figured how descriptive could it be? Potential just said that Spike helps train the potentials. Wrong!! In just 2 sentences it gave away what I think would be 2 huge plot points for the episode. Hopefully there is something else to the episode or I'm going to be very disappointed. So in case its the same description used for TV guide or elsewhere, be careful you don't read it if you don't want to know anything.

Awwww...thanks Vlad. Especially thanks for reminding me that this particular thread on the board tends to be forgiving about stating the obvious or bringing up a new concept maybe for the second or third time.
Lucky for me, I have yet to see 'Potential'. My roomie taped it for me while I was gone, so it's planned viewing for tonight.
I understand there are some good Spikey moments in it, so I'm sure that tonight/tomorrow I'll be inspired to start posting away again.

There has been some discussion of a secret handshake for hte S'cubies. *L* Feel free to try to come up with one and post it.
I suppose we could do one of the thumbs in ears "nanu, nanu" types favored by Robin Williams. Or do you all think that would be too degrading (to Robin, of course!)?
I, however, after serious consideration, think we should come up with a secret S'cubies' greeting. It would consist of the following:
It would be to causually drop into conversation the phrase:
"I like Spike naked on a bike."
Which would be responded to with:
"His sprocket is grand, more than I can stand."
*chuckling* You guys are corrupting me.

Was just over at www.slayage.com/ reading the reviews that posted over the weekend that aren't tagged as having "Spoilers". There were two that I started to read but I left off reading both in disgust. Either they are incredibly out of touch or we are, but both were quite hostile to the prospect of any renewed Spuffy relationship. One of them is discussing the AR in terms that I have not read since the initial discussions that followed the original broadcast of "Seeing Red", by which I mean referring to it attempted actual RAPE and proof that soulless Spike was fundamentally untrustworthy and evil. Many essays I've read at a number of other websites and a great number of quite thoughtful and well written postings from the ScoopMe boards have explored this topic with far greater depth and sensitivity. We have discussed it at length and I think pretty much resolved this issue. But here is this article reaching who knows how many people treating the incident as irrefutable proof that pre-soul Spike was nothing but bad. And the other one was blatantly hostile to the notion of any renewed Spuffy relationship. The writers' (more then one) tone suggested they were speaking for the entire Buffy audience in being against it because it had already been done. I can't help but wonder if Joss/ME doesn't have someone or even more than one someone monitoring the press and the web for what is being said about the show. If that is the case then I hope that they are monitoring us too because I'd hate for them to think that those ***###*** who wrote those reviews speak for their audience. deborah cohen

Agent Vlad says: "I like Spike naked on a bike."
Which would be responded to with:
"His sprocket is grand, more than I can stand."
(Sh! Miss Edith. Giggling at work always attracts attention.)
That's wonderful. But greeting codes always come in threes. May I suggest a contest for the third line response.
My entry:
My joy is now effulgent, I'm feeling quite ebulgent.

There are some big time sites (like television w/o pity) where the reviewers just seem to hate evrything about BTVS, especially Spike and JM. Each review seems more like an exercise in how clever and caustic they can be, rather than a real review as I understand the term. They mourn some olden day when Buffy was "good".Which I think means still in high school and in love with Angel. unfortunately they're big sites where ME is more likely to go to check up on fan reaction. The fans seem younger, and the will to snark and whine especially high. My feeling is always, Why don't you just stop watching and leave it to us brainless dolts who aren't sophisticated enough to be totally disappointed in what we're seeing.

I learned a while back to take these with a grain of salt. There are times when I'm not sure these people are watching the same show I am. Instead of enjoying a good story they decide they're going to nitpick about every last little detail that occured. In "Potential," for example, clearly the writer was addressing Dawn's feelings about falling down Buffy's priority list, and she had good reason: a chaotic house full of young people that get the great majority of Buffy's attention. That is the major plot point, and Michelle Trachtenberg does a nice job with some tricky material. I don't care whether or not the doors of the school should be allowed to lock from the inside. I'm amazed that anyone did. I was too busy enjoying the terrific cuts between Buffy's demonstration and Dawn's attempt to fight off the vamp. In other words, I like reviews from people who actually LIKE the show, with criticisms that are constructive instead of pointless. Hunter is a perfect example. Ron over at Slayage clearly writes from love. Tensai at Spoiler Slayer always manages to give me food for thought. I don't always agree with them (though they're all clearly fans of Xander...gotta love that), but I can respect them because they care for the story and characters as much as I do.

Yep, nice piece of work there. Fairly true to the "voices" they both have. I think it stayed true to the feelings betweeen the two characters that we see played out silently between them. If Buffy ever gives in to her emotions concerning spike, i figure that it would happen something along those very lines.
There has been an intimacy between those two for so long now. And that whole scene is about htat intimacy. She is finally learning to not care what everyone else thinks. she's meeting her obligationss but balancing it with hwat she needs. That was the classic Buffy story anyway, wasn't it? The slayer in highschool with all the more than jsut adult responsibilties also wanting a real life, a real boyfriend, and to have some fun.
Buffy lost her way in the last few years. I think she might be finding it again, and I think it could be with Spike.

discussing how Buffy's voice isn't Buffy's voice in the telepathy scene any more? >;p (intended as winking devilish grin with stuck-out tongue emoticon)
