Are we all convinced the island is "making wishes come true?" I mean, it sort of seems that way, and it sort of doesn't. I agree that Jin was not physically abusing Sun, but since she went so far as to plan to leave him, things must have been getting pretty bad. I had this feeling, though, that she was running away from her father as much as Jin. I am not agreed. Not 'wishes'....Strong enough thoughts maybe - and sometimes those thoughts are good and sometimes they aren't. And those previews.... 'ask me once more and I'll give it to you'? WHY didn't Locke either a. give the drugs to Jack for the medical value or b. destroy them. but that's next week I know.

I like the way they're not giving away too much at one time. Jack & Kate on the beach--"What did you do?" "You had your chance to know." Great way to keep us interested too. I agree that it is good to keep the mystery going a bit. I'm glad you mentioned that line from Kate, though, because I reacted to it pretty strongly. It immediately got my hackles up. Maybe this is just me, but it struck me as soooooo childish. I hate that kind of answer - "You had only one chance, and you didn't behave exactly as I would have liked, so now I'm going to pout about it forever and never give you another chance."

Sara mentioned it. I noticed it before,in passing, but not in the "this is important ,it's this person's view" kind of way. I didn't notice it til Sara mentioned it. So this time I noticed it. But I didn't notice that the eye was the person's whose viewpoint was being featured til you just mentioned it. sheesh....

I reacted the same way. I think if Jack had said 'yes, you look so hot in those jeans' she would have been packing for the caves in a flash. She seemed to be pouting, not making a decision based on what was smart.

She seemed to be pouting, not making a decision based on what was smart. I didn't really get that vibe, more just caution, not wanting to get "too involved." The fact that Jin & Sun didn't get to spend much time together makes his awkwardness with her more understandable. He really doesn't know what husband's do. She was alone so much--part of daddy's plan?--that Jin bought her a puppy.

More like . . . . feeding off their thoughts and emotions sometimes? Or maybe it's just Locke doing it. ;D Lola

**pout** Here too. But I did see a partial moon eclipse about a year ago or so. And just to make the post legal. ;D I'm wondering just how regularly folks get stranded on the island. I mean, there's the radio transmission from like . . 16 years ago. And now the bodies that died maybe 40/50 plus years ago. Does the island need to have people on it - somehow attract them or make them crash - so it can have wishes to create? Lola Fascinating thought. A symbiotic relationship. Or a god that requires worshippers? Yowza

Fascinating thought. A symbiotic relationship. Or a god that requires worshippers? Yowza but apparently doesn't require all that many...cause most of the people on the plane died.... or did they......*creepy music....*

Or maybe it's just Locke doing it. ;D Lola Locke told Charley he had to "have faith." And ALSO that he had to give something back to the island. ------------------------ lowbrow thought: What was the deal with the bees? Was it all just a ploy to get their shirts off? Did anybody see the post I put up about the article on Evangeline Lilly (before it was eaten.) This is her first real acting gig. She was preparing to return to the Phillipines as a missionary and got stopped on the street by a guy who wanted her to model. First she turned him down, then decided to check it out to earn the money for the trip. Didn't like it; friends encouraged her to try acting. She went to an open call hoping to be an extra for LOST and J.J. "discovered" her. The newspaper probably romanticized it some but still--dang! Explains the first name too. Missionary family.

One more.
Speaking of acting (somebody commented on Sun's) I thought Charley's face when in saw his guitar and then held it was awesome.
Isn't anybody dreaming of steak and french fries?

Oh now, if they find a package with some Omaha steaks packed in dry ice and a bag of Oridas I'll have completely had it. Vlad

Locke told Charley he had to "have faith." And ALSO that he had to give something back to the island. -- oh! that's right! I wondered when I heard that line - you made me remember. So...what did Locke give back to the island do you suppose? no Sue, I didn't see the article ...but that's interesting.
