I don't think it would be Locke. My money's on either Sawyer or the crazy French lady. I heart Charlie. Interesting. After all, we have no reason to believe she hasn't survived.

Sawyer is too obvious a choice (so is Locke, though). I get a strong 'putting on a tough front' from him. I don't think he's the arse that Kate assumes he is... I'm open to possibilities here. Agreed. I thought he was exactly right when he told Kate there wasn't that big a difference between him and Jack. Sawyer is very . . . unsure of himself underneath it all, or he wouldn't have let Kate's attitude dictate his choices. CHOICES! Major theme for ep. And the difference between enabling and helping. Don't help the moth trapped in his cocoon. Do help Jack trapped under a rock. Who else thought of Andy Griffith - when Andy & Helen find their own way out of the cave? And when they realize the others are digging elsewhere, they go back in so everyone can find them and feel they and their work was useful. Of course, I knew Charlie and Jack weren't going to do that, but the thought made me laugh.

Okay, <concerning the Sayid thumpin'> if it was Sawyer, then who shot off his rocket? If it wasn't Sawyer, who did the thumpin'? Locke would have to be on my list of suspects for two reasons: he was unaccounted for and cosidering hte island gave him his legs back, he would probably be loath to leave with a rescue party. However, Locke (as was demonstrated with the questions last week when Charley almost slipped up) has no idea about the signal.
So, at this point our list is down to "maybe" Locke, or some here-to-unseen survivor/island occupant. The only other regular that we didn't see this time was Claire, and I don't see her wandering into the jungle to hit Sayid, nor having any motive whatsoever.

Sawyer is Lost's Spike - he is so totally Spike - he's hurting and we'll find out why maybe next week. Sun needs to tell her husband she can speak English soon. At least she didn't go put on the hot clothes this week. Michael has an important role! So far We have a doctor, a soldier, a construction worker/engineer, a musician, ...even Shannon did her part. And wow...our leads talk offscreen to the nameless ones - a couple of whom got names this week! And Locke is God. At least he thinks so, and I was willing to go along with it this week. Those two nameless ones were twins, no? It was so quick I wasn't sure.

I am not liking the Jack & Kate thing. Kate is practically acting like a silly school girl. That is disappointing to me. I mean - I wouldn't mind seeing them get together, but not like this, with Kate being all . . . googly-eyed, as Vlad put it in a review. Sawyer - yep, Patti - killer dimples. I wonder what is up with him. I am thinking next week may be "his turn," given the trailer - I mean, we will get Sawyer flashbacks, and find out why he's so . . . so . . . Sawyer. I think Kate just acted like she really likes him, could love him and acted the way someone would if they heard the person they care about is maybe dead. She didn't dig that tunnel back out like a silly schoolgirl, and she didn't cry or act weak - she was just sweet to him - I wasn't disappointed in it at all. I want Kate and Jack together. That leaves, by my count, Sayid and Sawyer for me! *grin*

*grin* I like how he totally called his brother on the "never protecting him" thing. AND the whole "relations" confession made me laugh my ass off. Yes! that was great!

I just don't get that attitude she gave Sawyer about how he shouldn't dare compare himself with Jack. I like Jack, and he's shown himself to have many nice qualities, but the way she talked in that scene sounded so school-girl smitten. I kinda want them to get together too, I just wish Kate wasn't quite so . . . well, googly-eyed.

Something Charlie said tonight reminded me of Ozzy Ozbourne at one point ...he said something like 'I'm a bloody rock god'...? Made me think of Ozzy's 'I'm the f*****g Prince of Darkness!'

I heart Charlie too. *hugs Erin and sobs stupidly* Charlie so sweet. And Charlie has found people to look out for him. Jack wasn't realizing how important it was for Charlie to feel useful and important. Who thought that the cave-in was related to Charlie's anger? Coincidence, or related?

I think it was so much better for us to see that someone was about to hit Sayid before he was actually hit - much more effective like that.

Made me think of Ozzy's 'I'm the f*****g Prince of Darkness!' Hurley to Charlie: "You rock!" Charlie had a really good day. Found someone to be a big brother who will actually look out for him in Jack (and, it seems, Locke, though that is more fatherly than brotherly.) And a buddy in Hurley. NOW, he just has to hook up with Shannon. (Should I duck for cover?)

WTF!?! Okay, my money's on Locke being the bash brother. The idea being that he doesn't want any of them to leave the island? Or that he's acting on behalf of nefarious island influences? I'm not sure. I suspect the possibility of others as yet unknown to us. I'm fairly sure it wasn't Sawyer. Just 'cuz that's too obvious. Lola

Oh - you mean in the scene where Sawyer found her and Sayid and before he could give her the message about Jack she acted like a total bitca to him? That was the only point in the show that didn't work well for me tonight - she was so more acidy than necessary, and he reacted with childish pouting. That part worked though. We've seen it for 7 years...*grin*
