And momma Swoozie is in on the scam..... Dude. He was better off as a foster kid. Oh - is this how it's gonna happen? Straining himself too much after the surgery? Oh... nevermind, I think I see where this is going.

Ok... I'm officially creeped out.
And, have we seen a far away view of that before? Definitely looks like we're seeing much more of it than ever before. Good thing I have to rewatch this episode a few times for my review so I can see if I just missed seeing it earlier in the episode.
Wowsers...look at Syd dancing!

WOW and WOW!!! astoundingly good episode! Rae, you lucky dog you... and no, I don't want to change... And yet I'm blank right now - but I'll get over that after re-watching for a few times. Jumping over to Alias thread now... I sometimes hate how quickly we jump from Lost to Alias.

Locke needs a key for his steel box. Wow! What a nice twist. Hell, Locke needs a lock! ;D I agree - very nice twist. And what is it with the evil daddies on this show?

Welcome to this week’s edition of Lost in Spring’s brain!
[/li][li]Oh my gosh, what a great ep!
[/li][li]Immaculate Conception, Virgin Mary full of heroine – what’s inside? Seeing clearly. Putting on the right glasses. The truth is seen. The light comes on.
[/li][li]Finding out what’s wrong. Finding out what the real trouble is, what’s underneath it all: What’s wrong with Sawyer? What’s wrong with Locke’s father? What’s wrong with Emily Locke? Facing up to the fact that something is wrong (with your eyes, with your legs, with your perceptions of reality.)
[/li][li]Finding something to have faith in again, after such a horrible betrayal. Afraid he’s been betrayed again. But the light comes on? What does it mean?
[/li][li]Locke, getting Boone to risk his life so Locke could achieve his end, then leaving his “son,” Boone, just lying there injured, just as his father left him.
[/li][li]Better or worse? What is meant to be? What is worth doing, what isn’t? Will it make things better or worse?
[/li][li]Loved the funny lines in the ep – Michael learning how to say “faster and idiot.” Sawyer and Jack – Jack getting his licks in. Sawyer – no insurance. See, that’s the thing – there’s never any insurance that your efforts will pay off, that you’re doing the right thing, that you’re faith is correctly placed, that you won’t get hurt. Is it what it seems to be, or is it a mouse trap? Are you being baited, hooked like a fish?
[/li][li]Do it for me. Do it for us. Didn’t do it for him. Doing things for others (like everyone helping Sawyer), as opposed to the absolute selfishness of Locke’s parents.
Wow. Just so much stuff.
LOVED IT! My favorite ep yet.

That is SOOOOO not a trebuchet!! Jeeze, Locke!! Calling a standard catapult a trebuchet. Silly person. Or silly writers. Huh, so that's how he got hurt... I knew that was gonna come in the moment he said that he had a foster mother. Huh... I can almost believe the immaculate conception. "snappy one-liner and a brand new nickname..." But the best line of the ep has to be "have you been using that wacky paste that made me see my sister get eaten?"

That is almost exactly what my brother said. Oh, and I just did a couple of searches on imdb.com--in reality Swoosie Kurtz is all of 8 years older than Terry O'Quinn. Well, yeah, but Terry O'Quinn was made up to look (supposedly) quite a few years younger than he is now. And Swoosie wasn't. So - it wasn't very believable, but I think that was supposed to be a John Locke who was young enough to be the son of someone Swoosie's age, if you know what I mean.

Oh, Boone, you wuss. It's just a mummified Nigerian. It can't hurt you. It can't even try and get you to lend it money for the eponymous scam... Hey!! Heroin!! GREAT!!! This bodes SO well for Charlie. Did something just beep at him? See - that was your first clue that Locke's dream was a dream - Boone was being way, way too ballsy.

Greg and I just looked at each other thinking the same thing--hunting accident. They're just killing me with the whole hit-by-a-car, nope, hunting-accident, nope, paralysed-by-the-surgery, nope, got-up-and-moved-around-too-soon-after-the-surgery, nope, shot-or-injured-while-trying-to-get-inside-dad's-house-again, nope, car-accident-due-to-driving-while-upset, nope, oh-I-guess-we-won't-get-to-explaining-it-in-this-ep thing!!!!!!
