Mr. Eko does not hold with torture. I suspect that after what happened on the beach Mr. Eko isn't going to be a big fan of doing anything to harm another human being. **nods**

They only take "good" people? That's what I'm sayin'! That just has, well, a lot of possible interpretations, doesn't it?

And with 15 minutes left, my parents come in and go through cupboards. Loudly. Just as the fight's about to happen.

Notice that noone is having mystical vision experience thingies Huh. I hadn't thought of that difference from our folk. So, if the island is a big experiment, then maybe our folks are being tested mentally and the Tailenders are being tested physically?

Not exactly one of the most exciting eps we've ever seen. I don't know, I'm loving this episode. I liked it a lot too. I like comparing the two sides and wondering what the similarities and differences mean.

It's like friggin' clockwork, I swear. Last week they both walked in front of the t.v. with 5 minutes left. Big emotional scene, Shannon breaking down in Sayid's arms, my dad decides he needs to look out the back door. Maybe when Jan comes through for a visit I can get her to talk to them about this issue... We've got these electronic collars you can slip on them when they're sleeping. **snicker**

I don't know, I'm loving this episode. I liked it a lot too. I like comparing the two sides and wondering what the similarities and differences mean. And it shows elegantly how Ana-Lucia went from being the flirty charmer that distracted Jack from his troubles in the airport bar, to the hardassed kickass bitch who can do "abused prisoner" undercover work without flinching. SERIOUSLY makes me wonder what she did before. Well, now that they've joined the lostaways, maybe we'll get a flashback. If she lives through Sayid's righteous fury. Oh, and what's Jack's dad's wandering corpse been doing all this time, anyways? Will we ever get HIS version of those 48 days?

A few comments.
Plane crash redux, Once More With Children.
It's the teddy bear!
Ana Lucia has some kind of emergency training, also crisis negotiation. When they got Bernard out of the tree, was that a flash of Rose on the other beach?
There's another bunker, with "quarantine" on the inside of the door, and a different Dharma symbol. This one has an upward arrow. Whatsis-who-turned-out-to-be-an-Other appears to be observing the survivors.
Ana Lucia is multi-talented - she knows CPR, crowd control, self-defense, crisis negotitiation, and interrogation techniques. Police or military background? I think she's the Tail Survivors Sayid-equivalent.
I don't "like" like her, but I certainly respect her and understand why she's the way she is.
Oh, as usual, dear. Ana Lucia did shoot Shannon. This is going to be very bad.
I think the whole sad incident was set up by the voices - they got the Tail Survivors group confused and frightened to the point where Ana Lucia lost her head and fired, and they tricked Shannon (who really wasn't that bright, alas) into running around where she could be mistaken for something else and shot.
Somebody doesn't want the groups cooperating. Another psychological test, perhaps?
Questions too many, answers zero.

I was wondering that - "good" for what, precisely? Tastiness of their brainsssssss? Linda, but Hawaii's still pretty Brains good. Perhaps they steal children because they can't have any of their own? Were any women stolen? Is this a bad '50s monster movie? Tune in next week for more questions, but never an answer... Anne, Hawaii very pretty

Not exactly one of the most exciting eps we've ever seen. And what was up with that "extra" five minutes, in which we learned exactly nothing new?

They'll bring bring a much more dire feel to things.

A few comments. Plane crash redux, Once More With Children. #rofl1# Oooh! I'll have to look! I want to know what other differences there are in the bunkers, too. I mean, aside from this one not being manned anymore. Oh, I like that! I was wondering if she was army - like a vet or something. That would really fit with Sayid! And next week they face off against each other. Very bad. That is an excellent theory! It would really fit with the idea that "out" group is being experimented on mentally - and now they are introducing that kind of . . . testing . . . to the Tailenders. I've stopped looking for answers. It makes me happier. ;D
