Hurley is indeed Little Miss Sunshine tonight. LOL! Man, I'm loving the relative lightness of this episode. The past episodes have been so oppressively dark, figuratively and literally.

Well, if THIS doesn't get it going, nothing will.

A meteor! Well, I guess that's marginally less unusual than a missile. Marginally. Mom still doesn't like the curse talk. Heee! Love his "ow!" Dad's back. Now that his son has millions. A mite suspicious timing there. Still. It is way enough money to share, so . . . But Hurley don't look happy. Roger was a generic work man. These Dharma people crack me up. The went even further than the Repo Man guys did. ;D "Dude, Roger was on a beer run!" Loved the look on Jin's face when Hurley is shouting "I understand". ;D The head falls off. "We'll get that later." Desmond can't tell you when you'll die, Charlie. He's not seeing the future, he's seeing snippets of possible futures. Aaaaand Sawyer is NOT happy that his stuff is gone. **snerk** Well, like they didn't know he was gonna get cranky over his missing books, food, porno and scotch. Awwwww. Love how Sawyer gets hugs from Hurley and Jin. "Things are gonna get better." Kate actually tells Sayid and Locke the basics, straightforwardly and quickly. Damn. That's two for two! A new island record!

"Going to Australia isn't gonna lift the curse" "Give away all the money; save enough for a carburettor" Hugo wants to believe, but he wants to break the curse. "Dudes. I know how to drive." Surrender to destiny, charlie! Just like the Indian princess! "I came to ride shotgun." Woohoo! "Victory or death." AWESOME! It's like The man from snowy river in a Type II!!!! "We make our own luck" AWESOME!! "Road to Shambala" on the eight-track!!! Okay, this is AWESOME. And even if the gas runs out NOW, it is has been a victory. Plus? Jin learned the most important English phrases. Oh, a flower! And god, that's a beautiful orchestral arrangement of that song. Relaxation, beer, semi-content (but never happy) Sawyer.. and back to Crazy American Lady seeking Crazy French Lady.. "Sunlight hit Mr. Eko's stick when John was burrying him" Got a compass bearing on that? to WHERE? And gunshots out of nowhere. Must be Delenn.(sp). Tell her about Alex. And here she goes... GOOD plan, Kate. Rousseau does good "Gobsmacked" don't she?

"Now that's a hell of a Jesus." ;D Yes. Yes it is. Hugo is suspicious, but mom says she just called dad up. So, she's always known where he is? Heh! The Trans take the money and run. I would too. ;D "It's been 17 years." Mom has needs. Heeee!! Love the hands over ears "no no no!" scream. ;D He kept the car. Awwwwwww. So mom is sort of right that he was wishing dad would come back. Blueprints? A map? Don't just toss that! It could be helpful! "What's a head doing back here?" "Oh, that's just Roger." ;D ;D Hurley has hope. Which doesn't seem that justified. The micro-bus is toast, dude. It's gonna need a lot of work, most of which you guys probably don't have the tools for! And Sawyer, of course, is all "ain't no hope here".

LOVED Kate's look when Sayid explained how they got the compass heading. ;D It was pretty much as good as Jin's reaction to Hurley's loud "I understand." She must be an Indiana Jones fan. Lots of smiles tonight.

Headphones so he can't hear mom and dad getting passionate. And he's off on an adventure with dad. To break the curse. So, does dad really believe him or is he just humoring him? Tarot reader. Hmmmmm. Yeah, Hurley ain't buying it either. "Did my dad put you up to this?" "The mystic arts . . . etc. etc." "10,000 dollars." "Your dad put me up to it." ;D Just trying to help - help who? Good question. But unless she was going to ask for all sorts of money to "break the curse", I might almost believe that dad really did just hope to convince Hugo that the curse was gone so he'd feel better. Heh. Sawyer language lessons - the only three things a woman wants to hear. Praying for help and bingo, Sawyer's beer toss shows him the way. Heee! Slap! "Snap out of i!" Guess he's saying no moping allowed, Charlie. If you don't die, we win. Well, that's, um, yeah I guess that counts as a win. ;D "Let's look death in the face and say 'whatever, man'." ;D "Shut up . . . red . . . neck . . . man." "Touché." Oh, it's actually a Dharma micro-bus. Of course. The rolling hills of Other suburbia. Perfect for careening down in a bus. Sawyer's got it right when he says "oh this is gonna be real good." ;D

Road to Shambala I remember Vlad basing a review on this song. <snip> That's a VW key. Nice catches! I didn't remember they had played the song at the beginning of the ep. Nice bookend touch. Wash away my trouble, wash away my pain With the rain of Shambala Wash away my sorrow, wash away my shame With the rain of Shambala
Kind of sounds like the island.

Hugo's going to Australia. Dad admits he came for the money. But now he says just give it all away. Let's fix the car and go on that road trip. Hope and making your own luck and making a fresh start. But Hugo's set on his course. Dad's gonna be there when he gets back. Jump start the bus by rolling down the hill with Charlie riding shotgun. Victory or death. Yeah, nothing can go wrong with a plan like that. Except they get it stated. And the music on the 8-track is Shambala. Of course. ;D But it really is quite adorable how the boys all go for a joy ride around and around the meadow, then come back with beer and find their various womenfolk. All except poor booboo Sawyer. He's all "where's Kate, pout, pout, sulk sulk, I'm gonna act like I don't care". And of course Hurley is still spinning doughnuts in the meadow. So, where is Kate? Off to get help, which she apparantly didn't believe could be Sayid or Locke. Motivation and knowing where to look. And they know where to look. "Because of the way the sunlight hit Mr. Eko's stick when John buried him." ;D ;D Ooooh, Rousseau!!! Yay! Love that crazy french chick. And Kate knows the perfect motivation for her now. Alex. Yep.

Road to Shambala I remember Vlad basing a review on this song. Yup. Totally. Hugo is always so . . . upbeat around everyone. I mean, in his own laid-back way. Libby was the only one he could be honest with about things like being scared. And now she's gone. Those darn Dharma people. They'll rip off anyone.
