Part II
Soviet Army.
Life history much like Sayid's.
Meat!
He's been here 11 years.
The Flame.
To communicate with the outside world.
Ready to play. Chess. Games again.
Dharma Initiative is all dead. War against the "Hostiles"
The Hostiles are The Others, right?
Satellite dish doesn't work.
The Others/Hostiles have been here for a long long time.
Sayid going by a different name.
WTF?
Nadia is the cat. Jeez.
The computer cheats.
He's not Dharma. He's one of the Others. Huh? I'm so confused.

Part III
The Flame is the communications hub.
The cable that Sayid found way back when is a sonar beacon that helps guide vessels. Not very well, unless it's programmed to actually cause the ships to crash into the island.
Submarines.
Yeah, he is one of The Others.
This is after Sayid's stint in the Republican Guard.
Was this woman some one Sayid tortured?
Ah, the horse gave him away. Clever Sayid.
The sky turning purple shorted out communications.

Part IV
Your move.
Explosives. Bad news.
Records.
Whoa!
So his playing chess actually proved useful. Or not.
Bea!
But we haven't seen her since the finale.
Mexican stand off.
Boy, do I wish I knew more Russian.
Yep, he shot her. To prevent our Losties from getting answers.

Coda Hurley beat Sawyer! YES!!!!! We know you're the kind of guy that needs this stuff. Is this guy Danielle's husband? Guess not. The Purge. Group of scientists attacked. Where are they going to keep this guy prisoner? The Barracks. Sayid's on top of things. Go, Sayid, go! Why keep him alive? For mercy's sake? The same breed of cat? Sometimes he forgets that he is safe now. ~ The Others? Sayid confesses. They aren't in Iraq? Where are they supposed to be now? Whoa! Explosion pretty! Cats have nine lives. Maybe she's behind it all.

Translation of Russian, from here. Klugh: Mikhail. Mikhail! You know what to do. Mikhail: We still have another way [out]. Klugh: We can't risk. You know the conditions. Mikhail: There is another way. Klugh: They captured us. We will not let them find the area ("territory"). Klugh: You know what to do. It is an order. Mikhail: We still have another way! Klugh (in English): Just do it, Mikhail. Mikhail: Forgive me. (shoots)

*I seem to be fated to post in the episode threads late, so I have little to say except to observe that the S’cubie observations are terrific and adds a great level of enjoyment to the show for me. *An excellent episode. I can’t stress enough how much more I enjoy the show when it isn’t centered around “the Others.” Well, okay Russian dude is an Other, but our guys have him chained up instead of the other way around. Does that make me a bad person? I will seriously hate it if Cuse and Lindelof and company try to twist things so that The Others really are the Good Guys – unless of course they do it brilliantly. ;D *Was the cat from Sayid’s past the same cat as the one at The Flame station? For a minute there I thought it was another phantom animal visitation. Oh, I soooo thought that it was phantom cat too! Like Kate's horse and so on! Then I remembered that the Russian guy talked about the cat, so I figured it was real, but I do wonder if it was the same one. Well, plus I think that the cat and Vincent are secretly running the island. With the polar bears as their dutiful minions.

Not very well, unless it's programmed to actually cause the ships to crash into the island. Submarines. Yeah, he is one of The Others. He is soooooo one of the Others. And I am firmly convinced the Others are really Dharma folk. Maybe there really are "hostiles", but this guy and the suburban folk are Others, Others, Others! Of course, are the "hostiles" people who were on the island before the Dharma folks were, or are they survivors and decendents of survivors from different crashes and shipwrecks and so on. I do believe that the pulse was a surprise to the Other!Dharma people. And that it likely messed things up for them.

I wonder, what was Mihail's "another way"? Did he just mean that even if they did learn the location, the pylons would stop them? Or . . . ?
