Jin's using his words. This would be Sun's mom's worst fear. Yeah, I can see that. And yet, oddly enough, she and Jin are probably happier now than they've been in years. Well, whenever they're not being shot at or kidnapped and so on. Goth!Claire really is damn adorable. I love her boots! What a bitca this Aunt Lindsey is. The girl was also in a car accident, was injured and went home to wash the glass out of her hair before coming back to see her horribly injured mom. So, yeah, let's yell at her. That's helpful. Ooooh, some mysterious someone is paying the bills. Cue dramatic music . . . . I wonder if it's the Dharma people? Oh, Desmond. You sooooo are trying to sabatoge the bird idea. What did you see, Des? What did you see? The scary pylon things. Holy crap!!!! Bad pylon, bad! And we continue to see how the russian guy wants to be dead. "Sorry."

What, he's got a homing device on the two of them? "Left her with so many wonderful memories" woohoo! So here's Rousseau's "Sixteen years" question answered. Sort of. "Wanted to help" You don't talk with most people about this, ten minutes after you meet them. No, Claire, "fixing a mistake you made" would be trying to kill you, not her. Heh!! Nice arrangement to make it where Jack and Claire have NO clue. Wonder how many Jack/Claire fics out there just got really really really creepy.

Okay, I know this Aunt Lindsay is just acting on her own upset, but I still don't like her. "Her expenses have already been taken care of" "I've been asked to keep that confidential" AAAAAHHHH!!! Dude!! Tell me about it. Yeah. Let's maybe not try to get to the barracks, shall we?

Locke blew up the station because proof denies faith. Uh... why assume the plane (of the Sonic Screw-You-Overs) stops at each pole? Because you are idiots?? Because there aren't a bunch of dead birds in the area?

"But you, John Locke, I might have a fleeting memory of. But the John Locke I knew was para..." Para WHAT? Paranoid? A paratrooper? At parahelion? WHAT? I jumped straight to Paralyzed.

I betcha that Claire had originally tried to catch that bird and slipped and fell in the water and then Charlie went in after her and died.
So, Desmond went even farther back to save Charlie by saving the bird himself.
Huh.

Aw!! Claire!
And Charlie just became the cutest person on earth with that little-boy look on his face there as he said in the mock-dismissal "you don't believe all that, do you?"
You can see the way he opened up that he's just so utterly relieved out of his skull that she doesn't think he's crazy to be worried about Desmond's visions.

Heeee! Kate, the practical gal as always. No "you shouldn't kill people, John" - it's just "we needed him".
Ooooh, they're catching you out, John. You did know about the explosives and you helped yourself to some. See, these guys aren't accolytes like Booth was. They're actually going to expect you to explain yourself.
Well, I think Charlie is telling the truth about not being in on the "scare the birds away" plan. He knows something's going on but I don't think Desmond has told him. And you can't keep using the "I'll won't let you near the baby" threat, Claire. It's getting old.
Ah. Of course the American doctor is Jack's dad. Why not. Heck, he's probably Claire's dad too.
Oh, snap. He really is. Well, damn. Just when I thought we were going to have mommy issues for once. But nope, we're back on the daddy train again.

So did Locke kill Bakunin intentionally? Or hope he was gonna die? CRAP, so Locke was lying about the fact he didn't know about the C4? Man, he's just all kinds of incoherent. Claire suspects something's hinky between the two. And you are about to LOSE her, Charlie. TALK, ya jackass. So she's taking out her bitchiness at her aunt from the past at Charlie? Huh. New doctor. Bet it's a Shepard. There he is. WHUH?! Things are falling in to place now. Whoa. Jack's got a sister. Yep. Hey, was Lindsay the woman he was on the front porch of when he with Ana Lucia? Oooooh, I bet it was!!! Coolio - I'd forgotten about that!

Oh. She was having a fight with her mother. Wow, that's one beautiful note, AND montage. Pretty Sawyer in his Grandma glasses reading Fountainhead. Let's hope it doesn't give him any more ideas. Woohoo! The Village of the Darned! Jack! making his escape! NO! Nice fake-out! He's trying to escape! No, he's just coming out for a long pass! Wow, he's adjusted well to captivity, hasn't he?

I loved how it was all "Manly confrontation" and subtle subtext between Charlie and Desmond, and Claire pays attention for a moment, and then she bids "oblivious" and goes off all, "Hey! Birds!" ;D Too bad Charlie hasn't told Claire about Desmond's signs and portents: she'd probably be able to believe it. You're probably right. And that's probably why he hasn't told her - he doesn't want to believe it, because then he'd lose hope. Ooh, yeah. Plus saying it out loud to someone else would be . . . like . . . making it more real?
