I betcha that Claire had originally tried to catch that bird and slipped and fell in the water and then Charlie went in after her and died. So, Desmond went even farther back to save Charlie by saving the bird himself. Huh. Well, not quite. Charlie dies a different way each time. Huh.

So Kate's upset because Jack's not trying to escape, even though he gave his parole to the Others on the understanding that they'd not pursue Kate and Sawyer. Go figure.

You're probably right. And that's probably why he hasn't told her - he doesn't want to believe it, because then he'd lose hope. Ooh, yeah. Plus saying it out loud to someone else would be . . . like . . . making it more real? Yes, but he was obviously ok with Desmond telling her. Huh. Is Sun still pregnant? She has Claire's baby a lot of the time. I don't want them to kill off Claire and Charlie.....

So did Locke kill Bakunin intentionally? Or hope he was gonna die? CRAP, so Locke was lying about the fact he didn't know about the C4? Man, he's just all kinds of incoherent. Claire suspects something's hinky between the two. And you are about to LOSE her, Charlie. TALK, ya jackass. So she's taking out her bitchiness at her aunt from the past at Charlie? Huh. New doctor. Bet it's a Shepard. There he is. WHUH?! Things are falling in to place now. Whoa. Jack's got a sister. Yep. Hey, was Lindsay the woman he was on the front porch of when he with Ana Lucia? Oooooh, I bet it was!!! Coolio - I'd forgotten about that! It was indeed Aunt Lindsay Christian had his little spat with:

I mean-why be upset that he's playing catch with the guy that almost killed Sawyer? And enjoying it, like he has not a care in the world... I guess Danielle was kinda right when she said that he'd forget all about her.

Myself, I suspect Jack's probably trying to convince them he's being wooed over to their side—perhaps to ensure Ben keeps his promise about sending Jack home.

Obviously, Kate's not seeing that from the look on her face. But she reacted emotionally to Jack looking so happy.

And I don't blame her a bit; I'd have totally shared her "what the hell kind of freakin' bizarro world did I wake up in?" face in that situation.

Kate's up and over. So's Locke. And Claire is chasing after Desmond. More flashback. Let me be your daaaaadddeeeee, Claire! Hmmm. He sang to her as a baby. Maybe that song she mentioned before . . . swing on a star? "You think paying the bills makes you noble . . .. you want me to kill her." "There is hope and there is guilt." OK, so hope versus false hope is the theme. She knows that Desmond "knows" things. And, yay! He acutally just tells her about what he's been seeing regarding Charlie! "That's where Charlie died." Don't you mean that's where he died today?

What, he's got a homing device on the two of them? "Left her with so many wonderful memories" woohoo! So here's Rousseau's "Sixteen years" question answered. Sort of. "Wanted to help" You don't talk with most people about this, ten minutes after you meet them. No, Claire, "fixing a mistake you made" would be trying to kill you, not her. Very clever, that. Heck, this is the island of Boone and Shannon - incest is old hat to these folks.

Claire? Definitely not stupid. Definitely not. Charlie would have been smart to just tell her. But at least Desmond did, once he was pushed to it.

Oh, and do we think that the bigwig Mikhail spoke of with such reverence is Jacob, he of the list? Or like the orginal founder guy of the Dharma thing? (I can't remember his name.)
