With you on the first, thinking the witness thing was a lie to try and get him to confess, and that the stepfather is the father of the neighbor's baby (something the test she was going to take could have proved, maybe?). And I agree with Karen--Logan will use the boots as leverage to get Weezil back into school. Damn I'm good.

LOL! Didn't you hear the sarcasm? The 'Parker' character turned out not to be a cad afterall. Too bad. I kinda wanted to see someone kick his ass.

That is Parker Abrams, with a beard, yes ma'am. Hey, does anyone else think that Lily and Veronica might be related. Or, egads! Veronica and Duncan? I didn't realize he'd broken up with her BEFORE Lily's murder. See, this is the freaky thing that Sue was talking about before! (And that I had been thinking of, too.) 'Course, she also said, what if it got really weird if Lily and Weevil turned out to be half-sibs. And now Weevil is saying the Lily tattoo is 'cuz that's his little sisters name. Which was just a cover-up lie to Logan, right? *cue dramatic music* Or was it? Eeeep! Lola I wish I had a million dollars. You know they're just doing this to make us think that and it's gonna turn out to be something completely different. ;D

Yes, I did indeed suggest in the previous thread that Jake might be Veronica's dad, BUT now I don't believe it.
I think Veronica definitely thinks it might be a possibility and maybe Mrs. Kane even told that to Duncan to keep him away from V but I don't believe it is the truth. If it is I will be disappointed in the predictability.
On the other hand, "Lilly is the name of my little sister"----that I believe! Yep.

I've realized that VM is reminding me more of "Twin Peaks" than "Buffy." I gotta say, I don't want them to be related. Maybe it's just the fact that Jake and Veronica's mom (I'm having a brain freeze) were so in love with each other. Lily's mom has to be thinking that, if, say, it went down that V's mom broke up with Jake, Veronica would do the same to Duncan. well I don't want them to be related either, but it sure is looking that way. I was wrong about Logan though (hurray!) so am willing to be wrong about this too. one out of 3 icks is enough.

And I agree with Karen--Logan will use the boots as leverage to get Weezil back into school. I meant the father of the neighbor's baby...definitely. And after Logan confessed, I realized that there WAS no witness - like you said - it was just a lie - which weezel realized and called them on it.

I think Sue might have mentioned that about Veronica and Duncan as one of the scenarios of why Duncan's mother didn't like Veronica. And I love coming here knowing you guys will be all "PARKER!!!" LOL! And he's STILL a cad, or seems to be anyway. Also, Logan/Weevil goodness. ;D A cad . . . . and yet, not really that much at the end. Which is making me wonder even more about all the stuff they seem to be leading us to. How much is true and how much is red herring? Lola This was such a classic noir episode. Starting at the end, with the voice over and then flashing back. The damsel in distress who's maybe not so distressed (at least not the way we thought - very distressed in another way)l and ends up being the one to pull the gun. The detective who has to dramatically shoot the bad guy in the shoulder to save the day. Perfect!

You know what I mean. OK. Back to plotty stuff. Loved how even the alumni lady was still spouting the Neptune high theme. Look at all the pretty/rich/important people! Eww, who remembers her? And he must have gone to jail! Let's not put their pictures up. Lola
