*dies of heart attack*
They just moved VM to the WORST possible spot ever. There was only one spot that could truly kill the show, one spot that was truly horrible, and UPN goes and picks it! Who the hell watches VM that doesn't watch Lost?
Dawn Ostroff?!?! You save the show only to throw it to the lions? Why?
I'm with you a campaign to get it moved. Why not keep it were it was and move America's top Model to Tuesday at 8:00PM? I'd be happy with that!

They can't do this to us, make us choose between VM & Lost! That's insane troll logic!!!!
But I'm not going to panic - yet. The nets all make moves not realizing what the others are doing. Now they may have to make countermoves. There's still plenty of time between now and when the season starts for adjustments.
But it wouldn't hurt to make our reactions known as early as possible.

Stealing ten minutes to scan thru bulletin board and important new threads and stuff.
Saw Spring's thread on awards. I assume Pixi will be nominating VM, V/L's kiss and more?
Also happened to see (on the one page out of 300 missed) that I read, Pixi made mention of UPN's list of episodes to rerun. Was that in one of the general threads? Any chance you could post the list of episodes and airing dates here?
Thanks, Sue

Here's the list (all Episodes air Wednesdays at 9PM except for the Pilot): 6/14/05 - "Pilot" SPECIAL TUESDAY SHOWING! 6/15/05 - "Return of the Kane" 6/22/05 - "An Echolls Family Christmas" 6/29/05 - "Silence of the Lamb" 7/06/05 - "Clash of the Tritons" 7/13/05 - "Lord of the Bling" 7/20/05 - "Mars vs. Mars" 7/27/05 - "Russkie Business" I can't find the "official" info on the UPN site just at www.neptunesite.com/news.htm. Since those are actually in order after AEFC, I assume they are skipping the earlier episodes so that they can actually fit in the last 8 episodes (not listed above) before Season 2 begins. That way we'll get the end of S1 right before S2. Plus, though I'd like to believe they are highlighting Logan with the episodes listed, I think that RotK is thrown in there before AEFC because it's the first time we really meet Aaron... not because it's where we start to soften towards the psychotic jackass.

Thanks Rae. Dance has been stealing me away and I'm glad you responded to this. Yes I do think its because its where we first met Aaron too but also - hey as long as there's lots of Logan I'm going to assume there's pandering to us Loganholics. Hee, hee. I am going to help judge the Scubie Cutie awards so I don't think I can nominate anything so someone else will have to nominate the V/L kiss and any other VM related areas. Rae - I'm looking at you. Plus - I'm going to be very impartial. Honestly whenever I do casting auditions I am especially tough on those I know well so as to mitigate any partiality.

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - ABC's red-hot "Desperate Housewives" picked up a leading five nominations for the 21st annual Television Critics Assn. Awards, while stablemate "Lost" and Comedy Central's "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" earned four nods apiece.
"Housewives" and "Lost" both earned mentions in the categories of best new program, program of the year, and in their respective comedy and drama program categories. Fox's "House," UPN's "Veronica Mars" and FX's "Rescue Me" rounded out the competition in the best new program heat.
The TCA Awards will be presented July 23 at the Beverly Hilton in conjunction with the summer TCA press tour presented by the major broadcast and cable networks.
"Daily Show" earned a berth in the program of the year category, as did HBO's "Deadwood" and Fox's "Arrested Development."
"Daily Show" and "Arrested Development" also are competing against "Housewives" in the comedy series category along with CBS' "Everybody Loves Raymond" and the WB Network's "Gilmore Girls." Vying against "Lost" in the drama series race are Fox's "24" and "House," "Deadwood" and "Rescue Me."
HBO nearly swept the longform/specials category with nominations for "Lackawanna Blues," "The Life and Death of Peter Sellers," "Something the Lord Made" and "Sometimes in April." BBC America's "The Office Special" also made the cut.
In the category of individual achievement in comedy, "Housewives" stars Teri Hatcher and Marcia Cross earned mentions and will compete against "Arrested Development's" Jason Bateman, "Raymond's" Ray Romano and "Daily Show's" Jon Stewart. On the drama side, nominations went to Kristen Bell of "Veronica Mars," Matthew Fox of "Lost," Hugh Laurie of "House," Ian McShane of "Deadwood" and "24" star Kiefer Sutherland.
Nickelodeon's "Dora the Explorer," "SpongeBob SquarePants" and "Nick News" are nominated in the children's programing category alongside PBS' "Postcards From Buster" and Noggin's "DeGrassi: The Next Generation."
In the news and information field, PBS' "Frontline" and "NewsHour With Jim Lehrer" are contenders against "Daily Show," CBS' "60 Minutes," NBC's "Meet the Press" and ABC's "Nightline."
The TCA's Heritage Award recognizes programs that have had long-standing cultural or social impact. This year's nominees are PBS' "Frontline," CBS' "M*A*S*H," ABC's "Nightline," NBC's "Saturday Night Live" and PBS' "Sesame Street."

Sharing this which I also posted on the Main thread:
A general note about Veronica Mars. There is a huge and I mean huge uproar right now over a column posting that UPN has made suggestions on how the show could be improved next year to increase ratings.
Don't read the suggestion - it has spoilers in it. So don't read any columns on the internet.
But it might not hurt to send a general email to UPN/Dawn Ostroff asking them not to interfere in the show. For those of us who would like our Veronica Mars solely by Rob Thomas and undiluted by network interference. If you're into that kind of thing.

Working hard (as usual) at confusing it's viewers, UPN showed the VM Pilot last night and immediately moves the show to it's new day: Reminder!
Veronica Mars
Tonight (Yes, Wednesday)
UPN
8 PM Central, 9 PM Elsewhere
"Return of the Kane"
I guess they are trying to claim that spot (Wed at 8 PM) before the rest of the heavy hitters relocate there as well.

After countless emails, endless rounds of intense negotiations, and a few restraining orders, Mars Investigations.net have finally landed an interview with the one, the only, Alison MacInnis (Shelley)."Shelley? The one from the 'Pilot'?" No, not that one. "The one from 'A Trip to the Dentist.'" No not that one either. Shelley. The-Shelley-who-made-out-with-Duncan Shelley. The-What-did-you-just-call-me? Shelley. "Who?" Read our zany interview with Alison to find out. You'll learn all there is to know about Alison's views on her one-line-kissing-Duncan guest appearance, the Power Rangers, being blonde, puppies and world peace. This has to be the snarkiest 4,600-plus-word interview with a six-word guest star ever.

MarsInvestigations.net has added several interviews during the summer hiatus. 1) Co-executive producer Diane Ruggiero who wrote "An Echolls Family Christmas" and "A Trip to the Dentist," amongst others. We've heard a lot about Rob Thomas, so it's nice to learn a little more about another one of the writers. 2) Graphic designer Rick Pickett. He provides a lot of cool behind-the-scene details about the various props, graphics, logos, etc. He is also taking suggestions from the fans about background props that he should use on the show. This is a really fun opportunity for the fans to become involved with the show. 3) 46bliss whose song "The Way You Are" was played during the Mac and her biological mom scene at the end of "Silence of the Lamb." They talk a lot about the impact the show has had on their career. There is also a contest where the fans can win an autographed copy of the band's latest CD 46bliss.By the way, the fans have raised over $500 dollars for the second season fundraiser for Kristen Bell.

Helloooooooooooooo all you VM fans! Long time no "see". I've been not around so much it's possible that this has been posted elsewhere (possibly interviews, possibly spoiler thread) but since I get 99.9% of my VM info from this thread I thought I'd share here. The following is a link to video clips on the UPN site. 1. It bypasses the main UPN/Veronica page which does contain a write-up of episode 2.1 and casting spoilers so if you are totally avoiding anything you'll want to avoid it. There are the following video clips: A 7 and a half minute recap of season 1. (haven't taken time to watch yet) A 3 minute Sneak Preview of season 2 (except it appears to be primarily the opening scene of the first ep, which only has info about the MOTW in it). A one minute "episode preview" which is HUGELY SPOILERISH FOR THE SEASON LONG MYSTERY ARC---and see disclaimer in green below, the link opens with this clip loading ---be forewarned And video interviews with Enrico, Percy, Teddy and Jason which I have NOT WATCHED, so I don't know if they contain SPOILERS. Maybe someone who has watched them can comment. AND AS SOON AS YOU CLICK ON THE LINK IT STARTS TO LOAD THE ONE MINUTE CLIP MENTIONED ABOVE WITH SPOILERS. SO, IF YOU WANT TO GO TO THE SITE, BUT NOT SEE THIS PARTICULAR CLIP YOU NEED TO QUICKLY HIT THE STOP BUTTON AND CHOOSE A DIFFERENT CLIPwww.upn.com/upn_video/insider/index.php?page=nav&cat=13&chap=14788So, enter and watch at your own risk. All I'm doing is posting the link.============= ***********Maybe I should only post this in the spoiler thread, but it does have the clip recapping last year and the interview clips (which I haven't vetted yet regarding spoilers) so I hope the warnings I have posted here are sufficient.**************

And fun to watch. (Really, you've seen them all already, right?) I liked Teddy Dunn's best cause I had the lowest expectations for him AND he said "Northwestern" twice. ;D Still haven't watched the recap of season 1 but want to see how they summed it up. (I'm guessing that 7.5 minutes is better than the 40+ minute LOST special on at 8 tonight!) And, again, the two previews whetted my appetite. I don't believe they told anything which isn't revealed in Episode One of Season Two, but they definitely give away some big stuff about that. But they look Good, so, so Good.
