He mentioned how every loves RT and KB and that the crew likes to say, "When Rob Thomas puts in a shower in his office, then we'll know we're in for the long haul." I came over here to promote the $4,000 shower campaign, and I saw this post. That's so cool.

Hi Everyone, For those who don't know, I'm going to the Veronica Mars event in Austin this weekend. There is supposed to be a Q&A session before or after they show us Episode 11. I thought I'd drop by and see if any of you have any burning questions you'd like answered. Rob, Enrico, Jason, Kristen, and Michael will all be there so, if you have something specific for one of them, feel free to add those too. I can't promise to get them all answered but I'll try hard... and I'll be there both nights so I'll get two chances. Post any and all questions here and I'll gather them together on Friday before I leave and see what I can do. Thanks!

I guess my first thought is wanting to know anything they know about whether or not the show will get picked up for next season. I don't know if they would answer general questions about future plans - what I'm thinking about is whether everyone stays in Neptune for college next season. Another thing I'm curious about is whether we'll get more backstory on the older characters like Keith, Alicia and Don. Oh - and ask them whether they like the S3's reviews better than any other reviews anywhere. If they say "Huh? Who's Spring & Sue?" please tell them, in a properly indignant tone, what they are missing! Also, please ask Enrico if he would like to meet an a nice Italian girl. Have fun, Rae.

Gosh, so many of my questions would have to do with what's going to happen, and I bet they wouldn't answer those. I guess I'd want to know how everyone feels about doing the show. Also, like Spring, if they know about a third season yet. And I'd want you to just enjoy enjoy enjoy!! And then come tell us all about it. ;D

I guess I'd like to know Rob's thoughts on how he sees Veronica's character changing over the rest of the season and beyond. Last season, it was a lot easier to understand her hard-boiled attitude (for me, at least). This season, her actions and motivations have been a bit harder to grasp. But, most of all, I look forward to hearing a full report of everything you saw and experienced! And, if you MUST go into detail about the cuteness of Jason Dohring, I guess I'll suffer through it.

I'm sure the next season question will be asked but, if not, I'll see what I can do. The future questions are good, I'm not sure what RT will give away but it's worth a shot. Ooh, I like asking about backstories for the older characters. Make sure they understand they should be reading S3 reviews. Check. I may have to shout that one out since the TWOP reviewers will be there too. Don't want them ganging up on me in the parking lot afterwards. Kidnap and ship Enrico to Ohio. Check. Perfect. Now I'm all set! Thanks for all the great questions!

I can't wait although I'm probably more excited about seeing Episode 11 than meeting the stars. Will try to get them to talk about their feelings on doing the show and will definitely address hopes for a third season. Oh and I'll definitely report back on everything!

Ooh, good question. I see a lot of people wanting to address what he's said about the changes in Veronica so far this season but none addressing what he sees in the future. Of course, he may not be willing to give that up yet but I'll try to get it out of him. Oh, the cuteness gushing details will most defintely be forthcoming ... probably in every other sentence of my report of what happened. Oh - hey - I forgot to go back and post another reply to your LJ comment the other day but I wrote that drabble (deleted scene) for you and posted it on Wednesday. Hope you enjoy!

So Jim and Carolyn ran into my local "inside VM" source on campus yesterday. (Jim works for a doctor who's son is an editor on VM.)
They told him about RT's shower in the office. (If you will recall he told me the story at the office Christmas party about Rob saying that's how you would know he was there for the long haul.) He had not heard the the shower had actually been installed!
Two pieces of info:
1. "One Angry Veronica" is know as an "episode in a bottle." I figured that meant sort of a standalone ep, but it's more specific. It's an episode specifically designed to be a budget-saver: no location shots, no outside shots, no special effects, no need for lots of extra sets.... Unfortunately after it was shot it was discovered that many of the shots were blurry and much of the ep had to be reshot----undercutting the budget saving. Too bad.
2. DG (that's my "source") told Jim that the next new ep wasn't until Jan 25. Maybe you all knew this by now, but I had been going for weeks on the assumption that we had a new ep this week---on the 18th. So I check TV Guide and....no VM this week! Not even a rerun.
That's all I know.

That's all I know. Thanks, Sue!! The "episode in a bottle" info is pretty interesting. UPN is really making Rob tighten his belt, financially speaking. This might have been mentioned somewhere else in this thread. If so, I apologize for repeating it, but Rob Thomas asked for ideas (via TV Guide) from VM fans for who should be cast to play the part of Aaron Echolls for the made-for-TV movie that Trina is taking part in. The top two contenders were Lorenzo Lamas and our own James Marsters. I actually thought that was a pretty smart thing for Rob to do, to get input from the fans in that way--much smarter than that alternative ending they did on AOL! But, it was all in vain. After the results of the poll were published, Rob realized he was $100,000 over budget for the episode and had to cut the part out of the show completely. Too bad. I had also heard that the show wasn't coming back until 01/25. Arggggghhh!! With so many fans going to that special event in Austin (including S3's Rae) and getting to see the episode more than a week before it airs, it's going to be really hard for me to remain unspoiled for that long! I already know a couple bits and pieces about the episode that I wish I hadn't read. I really do like to remain unspoiled, but sometimes my curiosity gets the best of me. Oh, and even though I don't watch Grey's Anatomy, your sig line cracks me up!

Crap! Crap! I just had a long post about Austin and I lost it. *cries* Dammit. It's late and I have to go to bed so I can't re-create it now. I did post a really long ramble about it over at my LJ. You can find that here: www.livejournal.com/users/siklilgrl/217623.htmlHowever, I promise to try and retype what I had to say here - specifically addressing things you asked about, etc. It was fun... and awesome... and amazing... and I have pictures. So, expect a post soon... but tomorrow, when I'm more awake and alive.

Will check out the LJ, and yes, if you get the time and inclination, I would love to see a recreation of the post you lost. ETA: The LJ Link was not working when I tried it (approx 9:45 AM, EST, Tues 17th). Said: NOT FOUND - URL not found on this server. Then it said that maybe I got this message because of "site problems." So I don't know if its a problem with the URL or a general problem with the LJ site today.
