The poster with the sick grandchild is me.
My grandson, Charlie (age 3) has eosinophilic enteritis (all three places, esophagitis, gastritis and enteritis) in both the allergic and non-allergic forms. I have never heard of a related pulmonary form, but would be glad to hear from you. My email is on the S'cubie site and I can send you information about APFED, a charity formed to help people with this disease.

Well, it sounded more dramatic the other way. About the immense ephemeralness of it all...
What can I tell you? I used to lie for a living (fiction). Now I just do it for fun or to make a point. Sort of like Spike biting people....

By the way, the website for APFED, (American Partnership for Eosinophilic Disorders) is www.apfed.org. It is full of information about the disease, its diagnosis and treatment and links to follow. If anyone knows someone who has been diagnosed with GERD (Gastro-Esophigeal Reflux Disease); Crohn's Disease or any of the other well-known digestive disorders but who are not responding to standard treatments, please refer them to this site. Eos disorders often are mis-diagnosed or sometimes piggyback onto these better-known conditions.

Hi everybody! Sue told me to check this thread (I am the one who posted the practical vs rational ideologies post on the episode boards). You seem like a wonderful and fun bunch of people. This is just a quick "hello" ... I am in vacation and just checking things at a cyber-cafe, but I'll be back. Thanks for directing me here,Sue!

I write when the mood strikes me. Then just whatever until I feel done, usually a couple hours. Sort of lazy.
Any late night posters tonight?

Just checking to see if the Scoopme Board time change shows up. The new time for the Board should be approximately 6:15 AM Eastern time right now.

Welcome aboard, Anne. I read your posting and thought it well-written and well-thought out.

Anne, come back anytime and visit us! I stole your analytical post (with complete attribution) from the ep board, to save us S'cubies from having to wade all the way over there to read it, because it was so fine--accurate, insightful, well put, and true.

Macha/Jill, the author of that incredible poem Descant Descending, has responded to my post and like MaryK, said she had given up on boards for fear of spoilage. I invited her to visit us as we are virtuously spoiler free.
Whoever hasn't read her splendid poem now has an incredibly urgent reason to do so (hint, hint).
Lest I lose this post in going to get the URL for her poem, I'll post this now and then add a reminder post with that URL for your reference.

The URL for Macha's poem, now nearly complete (she posted additional parts yesterday, she tells me) is: home.att.net/~lubakmetyk/crypt.htm#machaI've forgotten how to make an actual link of this in HTML, but if you block and copy it, then paste it in the top (search) window of your browser, it ought to get you there OK. Just heard from Roxanne Koogler/Dori, who did all the hard work and tells me that a link to our S'cubie site should be appearing on Bloody Awful Poet Society soon.
Vlad, if you get any posts about our stuff on the site, would you please reproduce them here (if they're complimentary--if they're not, who cares???)? With the various links, it wouldn't be surprising if our site saw increased traffic in the weeks ahead.

Correction: Dori is with Tabular Rasa. I did send to BAPS, but don't know anybody there personally. So the current link to be posted is at TabRas.
Having not yet reset my clocks, I'm an hour behind the rest of you guys, and it shows.

Alexandra, while I COULD create a device to help Spike find his golf balls in the dark, I won't. If he needs to find them, I would more than happily help him find them personally.

If you go to our website, part of what Vlad kindly added with our link to buffyguide.com is a rating box that goes registers votes on Buffy Guide in terms of total visits and ratings. You only get to vote once, so it would be nice if we were able to maintain or improve on our 9+ (out of 10) rating.
The moral--go out and VOTE (at least the once).
