Watergal says: "Alexandra, while I COULD create a device to help Spike find his golf balls in the dark, I won't. If he needs to find them, I would more than happily help him find them personally."
So what kind of radar will you be using? Remember, heat sensors may not work correctly for Spike. And golf balls don't make noise, so you can't go with sound wave detection. And they have no ability to move or vibrate on their own, making motion detectors unworkable as well. Darn. They don't give off light - no waves of energy or subatomic particle rays to detect. What's an engineer to do?
Whatever technique you might employ, Watergal, if you don't bring a measuring tape with you on your mission, I will never speak to you again!

Nan - wow. That's exciting. Good job. I will be curious to see how/where we link up.
TabulaRasa is a popular site, and I don't recall it having any "links", so that makes us kind of special. I know they have an "updates" selection that lists anything new they've put on their site, so I will check that next time I go there.
I do think we compliment them well though. They don't have any early season analysis, for one thing. And we're Spike-centric and smart, but a very different type of site.
Well . . . back to real life. More weekend chores (except it's way too cold for the outdoor chores I had hoped to accomplish). Looks like I'll finish my Zeppo analysis today. No promises, because wow, this is a tricky one, but I think I'll have it done today. Tomorrow at the latest.

Hi Anne! A big S'cubie welcome for you. Participate as much or as little as you like. Please feel free to lurk, post, and visit our website. If you like what you see, don't be shy about asking Vlad for a S'cubie questionnaire, so you can be listed on the site with a S'cubie profile - or asking about submitting something for our essay or fic sections.

470 Watergal, Re: Golf balls 4/6/2003 2:11:45 PM Alexandra K. Spring said to Watergal, "Whatever technique you might employ, Watergal, if you don't bring a measuring tape with you on your mission, I will never speak to you again! "
And Watergal, if you don't bring mewith you on your mission, ditto!!

Diane,
I have no idea how to get to the hidden emails. I've sent a note to Vlad. Or if you want you can email me--my address is in my original post. No urgency, just curiousity. Sue

All right, S'cubies. I can hardly believe it, but I have completed Season 3. Rob, I especially await your impression of my The Zeppo analysis, once Vlad gets it posted. I will give you a sneak preview by telling you it's title:
THE ZEPPO: Faith in yourself (and vice versa)
So, on to Season 4. I hate that I don't have a DVD, and will have to rely on my tapes of those chopped up FX versions. But I always download a transcript of what originally aired from studiesinwords, so that should do the trick. Except I can't pause and zoom, and you know how I love to!!
I hope the June release date for the Season 4 DVD becomes a reality. I am going to start with the first Spike ep, The Harsh Light of Day.
I do want to do another Season 6 fanfic snippet - will try to make that happen, especially if my insomnia gets any worse. Nothing like getting lost in Buffydom to while away the wee hours.

Nan, thanks for the email site. Since I am a "Johnny-come-lately" I never had the secret site-code.
Karen--I looked back thru the post titles, but couldn't figure out what movie you were asking about. Could you be more specific?
Anne--yay! I'm so glad you came over, even briefly. I kept checking the episode board and it's completely died out over there. We keep going pretty much 24/7.
Mary--I am in awe, my tongue is hanging out, I LOVE "Journeys" and I love how you share in the author's notes. Thanks for dropping in.

Disappointing article.
Maybe I was just expecting too much of Zap2it. Here I was hoping for a nice analysis of the character, but I guess I'll have to wait for someone here to do it. I'd do it myself, but as yet have never made up my mind about the Skipster.
*sigh*

I remember he also said, when asked why the fans love him when he's 'bad' that he guessed the fans believe the acting over the writing. (as I remember it.)
I loved that comment.

Rusty, I want to see that too. He's starting late although he looks so young. All those years in theatre made him a great actor but didn't get his name known. Wish he could just 'George Clooney' it...(seems like George Clooney went from tv to major movie star in about ONE movie.)

Sue, you're quite right--you weren't here when Vlad started the website and we did our e-mail thing. I'll try hard, and perhaps you'll help me, to remember that anybody new who shows up and wants to join (as opposed to just lurking or hanging out) will need the reminder about the e-mails.
Since nobody much has ever used the scubie yahoo address I made up, it's simpler if anybody wants to post me to us my actual e-mail address, which is on my profile. To get at my profile, just click on my name at the top of the post.

I'm running out of good Spike fanfic to read! I'm now on the B- list, having exhausted all the A list I could find. Before I descend to reading C list stuff, I'll have to thing of some other way to waste the time--like collecting match book covers or dusting. The great stuff is great and the inept stuff is REALLY annoying!
