Diane says: "I echo Rob's sentiments and repeat my request for a companion piece in the Xander-centric "Go Fish."
I'm afraid my reply must be: Go Fish.
Actually, I may get around to it sometime, but I am anxious to get into Season 4 right now. Season 4 has plenty of Xander in it. Of course, it does not have the tiny Speedos, which I suspect play a part in your request.

I was thinking the same thing. 7 years really is a long time. The actors are the same, but season 1 and season 6 or 7 are almost totally different shows. One is clearly about teenagers, the other adults. Can't think of another show where the characters and situations have changed so drastically (and deliberately).
Have you noticed Season 1 films largely in the daylight, at the school, with only an occasional night-fight scene? And "Teacher's Pet" actually has a scene where the townspeople are out hunting for the vamp!

It's okay Vlad, Saskatchewan doesn't go to daylight savings time either. And they are a whole lot bigger than Indiana. (Although, they probably have a population of 0.00000001 people per square kilometre.)
Have you ever heard the one about a British couple who were taking the train cross-Canada? One morning they awoke and the train was stopped for a layover. The husband got off the train, and he asked a railway worker on the platform were they were. To this the fellow replied, "Saskatoon, Saskatchewan."
When the husband returned to his seat, his wife asked him were they were, to which he replied, "I don't know, no one speaks English here."

Of course. In the scientific study of ebulgence, comparisons have to be made. It's well to study Spike alone, but in the true interest of scientific accuracy and completeness we must also have outside comparisons. The inclusion of Xander will help the study be more in depth. I'd have no objection if we include Giles in the study as well.
Tape measures, anyone?

Another difference that becomes more evident in comparing Season 6 with Season 1 is the incredible changes in Buffy. Watcg her S6 attempts to be an adult and to take her responsibilities seriously (however many mistakes she makes.) Now suddenly shift back to S1 and and watch the attempts she makes to dodge her calling.
Buffy makes terrible mistakes in Seasons 5, 6 and 7, but she is no longer fighting who and what she was born to be.
It makes me think that the ancients who created the Slayer line made a terrible error in choosing girls who were so young. It also explains why they die so quickly. Slaying ain't for kiddies.

...Miss Pamela? In my attempt to not do my work (and right now, I'm being very successful at it), I was scrolling back through the different parts of the S3. I noticed that Miss Pamela hasn't posted in a while. Does anyone know what happened? I can't remember if she has posted on the episode board lately but I have noticed she hasn't posted here in awhile. Now, I just scanned through the parts so maybe in one of them she explains or someone else does about why she hasn't been back (or at least hasn't posted). I don't know. Watch as soon as I say this, there will be a post from her or someone will point to a post of hers in the last part or something like that. Let me clarify: I don't remember if Miss Pamela has posted lately.
Miss Pamela, if you're reading this, please come back and play!!!

I exchanged some email with Miss Pamela a few weeks ago when she mailed me a tape, and all seemed well - though she seemed very busy with her business.
I believe Patti T is a friend of hers and may know more, but from my last contact with Miss P, she was still interested in the S'cubies and BtVS and all things Spike, but sounded like she didn't have a lot of time to indulge.
I hope she does find time to check back in. I was just thinking of her when I wrote those "Ebulgence" definitions for Alexandra, because Miss P had originally coined those terms

I have been in multiple theatre productions with Jerry Lloyd, Paul Stetler and Eric Ray Anderson, all of whom have been in plays with James Marsters (the beauty of doing theatre in Seattle, I suppose) ans Paul was even the doctor in the Zombie eppy of Buffy.
So me to Paul, Paul to JM - that's two degrees, right?

Michelle, I think that would be ONE degree of separation, wouldn't it? ONE person between you and JM?
Surely, the goal is ZERO? Zero degrees of separation person-wise, zero space between your persons . . . something like that.

Yeah, I think Michelle "wins", at least until April 25 when Patti gets her zero degrees of separation.
I've read that humor/laughing prolongs your life. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire S'cubie board for adding YEARS to my existence!
I'm going to spend the rest of my day contemplating "zero degrees of separation

Regarding Indiana ... actually I grew up in Indianapolis...and constantly have to educate folks here to NOT use EST (eastern Standard time) to mean Eastern time year round. It's hell trying to teleconference with people who don't even understand what time zone they're in. Pet peeve for those of us who've had to live the other way.
Of course, I still think changing time is weird, having lived the first 30 years or so of my life without making such a change.
FYI - ScoopMe is hosted in Dayton, OH, which stays with New York time-wise (Eastern Standard/Eastern Daylight).

Do we have a place for definitions on the web page?
Also, Spike's pic when he's tied to the chair, giving the two finger salute, (on the secret page, unfortunately)defines ebulgence very nicely.
Now that I've raised everybody's ebulgometer with my frivilous post about orgies, I have to say I wouldn't ever post anything tooo out of bounds. Honest. And it's integral to the plot. Really, it is.

"And "Teacher's Pet" actually has a scene where the townspeople are out hunting for the vamp!"
Is that the scene where there are cops in the park? I just rewatched that ep a couple of weeks ago and it didn't register. The concepts were still being worked out during that first season...it's fun to see how things that happened or were said in season one have changed or been ignored since then. There aren't that many, but ...HEY! I think I have an essay topic!
Season One Concepts and Misconceptions....ok, this one is MINE. I'll email Vlad with it!
