Seriously - the gayness abounds. Gaiety? Homoliciousness?

Holy crap. Holy crap! What a great episode! As the kids say, I want to marry this episode and have its babies. (Do the kids say this anymore?) ;D This was great noir, all the way to the final scene in the confessional with Weevil in shadow, "It's been a very long time since my last confession." That was killer!! From creepy Woody Goodman to cackling Danny Boyd, I had shivers up and down my spine. Excellent acting all around. Frances Capra, Jason Dohring and Kyle Gallner immediately spring to mind. I will rewatch and have more to say later, I am sure.

I thought those two lines described the Beaver - Mac vibe pretty well. Some sort of truth is chasing Beaver, when Mac starts to ask for an explanation - and he runs. I'll say this much: if the general suspicions of our board are correct, the writers have done an excellent job setting up the circumstances. Dick and Cassidy's behavioral quirks throughout the season make it clear that something very bad was/is going on in the Casablancas household. **nods**

Oh my God was that a terrific episode. So much happening and what an ending! Oh, yeah! The season is heading into full speed ahead mode, that's for sure! Beaverland, heh heh. Ahem. I mean, yes. Beaver was very worrying to me in this ep. Granted, it could all just be a guy not ready for sex yet, and feeling (because our society says that a guy should always want it) kind of embarassed or pressured, etc. But his reactions just seemed to hint at "something else is going on". Ah, angst! My bestest friend. ;D Weevil was amazing in this ep. Figuring it all out, being quicker than Veronica even in putting the pieces together, his scary plan for revenge on Thumper. And he was honest with Jane pretty quickly too. Even though it was painful, he didn't try to slide out of what he did and what he wanted. The thing with the Bible was Just. Too. Funny. ;D

Thumper was in the building went it went down. He may not have literally blown up, but he's buried (and I would think dead) under the rubble. How creepy for Logan and his powerful plunger. I bet people wish they had a plunger that powerful. **snicker** Yeah, give me a plunger that powerful and a rock that big and I can rule the world. That is a very intriguing question. Because blowing up Thumper's bike along with him is kind of a mirror image of the bus explosion/crash, isn't it? Truths and lies and misleads and mistaken identities must all somehow play a part in this.

Feelin' the LoVe for this ep! The high five, Logan's aborted attempt to tell Gia how he really feels about her, the dance...be still my 'shippy heart. Bummed about the apparent dissolution of MaCassidy tho'. The Bible bit...? Priceless.
****Spoiler Alert****
Wow! How will it affect Logan, once he learns he is now (indirectly) a killer?

I’ll be back tomorrow with more (some brighter, easier to digest ideas) but I just have to get this out of my chest. I apologize if this has already been mentioned but I’m too tired and too short on sleep to go back through the whole thread.
Those Fitzpatricks are seriously creepy. Danny’s insane laughter and his all-around jumpy, agitated behavior was chilling to the bones. And speaking of chilling, unsettling things wasn’t there some very creepy laughter at the end right before the end credits…like two small children snickering viciously and maybe my mind is playing tricks on me but I think I saw two kids in the back of the white van when Weevil gagged Thumper? What the hell was that? If I am not just imagining things, maybe that’s somehow connected to the idea of child molestation in this episode (along with whatever is going on with Beaver)?
Then again, it might be just that I’m too sleep-deprived and I’m imagining all of it.

thanks for posting what Cassidy said, Rae & Pixi. that explains a lot.
i'm throwing my hat in the "somebody sexually abused Cassidy" ring. i can't decide if the clues are supposed to tell us that Woody did it, or if it's a misdirect; maybe Woody's secret and Cassidy's secret are actually two separate secrets?
i'm thinking more and more every episode now that the gay kid on the bus (anyone remember his name?) is somehow tied in to all of this.

I love him enough to keep trying to find out who killed him. Brava, Jackie!!! Nicely done. And Wallace, you'll always be the man! Can't tease you when the joke is pulled right out from under their feet. Oh dear. Logan with the supervisor's signature. That can't be good. OK, now they're making us think Woody is coming on to Logan. There's gotta be a gay theme if they're doing little tricks like this with all the characters.Molly . . . watch out!! "You were his whore." Oh, damn. That's a vicious thing to say to your sister. Was that her brother or her Uncle? Nasty piece of work he is. The actor looks familiar - I'm going to have to imdb him - he plays good evil. What was up with that little scene between Logan and Woody? He may have been feeling Logan out, or maybe he's just a touchy-feely kind of guy. He sure did an about face when he called off the newpaper photographer after he saw who won the essay. Major gay theme. Something is definitely wrong with Beaver and the Casablancas household.

sexually abused by Dick? urk. That is my fear too... although that may be too obvious? Or is it just too obvious for me because I'm on the Dick is gay kick? Now I'm back to one of my original thoughts on the "outings of all outings" - CAUTION: WILD CRAZY SPECULATION AHEAD... I think Woody may be gay and so I have to wonder if maybe Dick Sr was gay too. Actually, Woody being gay isn't so wild and crazy but Dick Sr is a bit - except for the fact that he seemed to know about Logan and Kendall and was ok with it. Anyway. The scene in the gym with Logan reminded me very much of the Veronica/Aaron scene in the car last year. Same ooky sexual creepy vibe to it. Eek. I agree with all of this. The gym scene had definite overtones and I was wondering about Woody being gay. I completely think Dick is gay, but hadn't thought about daddy Dick. Good point.

I thought the children's laughter at the end was part of the song that was playing over the action.

So, did Woody say something in "Normal is the Watchword" about being a Little League coach? Am I remembering that correctly? Because there is just an extra creep vibe for me; but then again, Little League makes me flash on "Lucky 19."
