There are also two Boomers - one pregnant and the other - what the heck? I did not see that coming at all. (duh - understatement) Adama was making his speech - which you knew he was making for the benefit of Apollo - then Bang! A very Joss-worthy surprise. Starbuck's reaction to Helo's "she's pregnant" was amazing. Her world/faith has just been shaken to the core. All of their's have. Was that a baby in a cradle on Kobol - the next generation? Not C!Boomer's kid already, is it? there is a ...a bundle of Boomers! That was just creepy when all the Sharons kept appearing...

I kinda expected them to show us a shot of a little half human, half metallic cylon - or Rosemary's baby perhaps.

Off the top of my head, I am thinking Six was looking towards the future and the baby is ... what the Cylons want. They want to merge themselves with humans... hence the whole storyline on Caprica this season... and while that particular Boomer experiment may not have gone exactly wher ethey wanted, its still their desire. The whole becoming one with God? Didn't the humans, infact, create the Cylons? And wouldn't mating and producing offspring be a way towards that "becoming one" deal? Vlad yes, that is how I've seen this pregnancy thing - its the 'next step' - to becoming human.

The other BSG regulars (Lola and Patti) are off chasing after JM. Yeah, that Arrow was a little cheesy. I half expected 6 to break it over her knee. I did too Karen! I thought sure she was going to.

Zarek doesn't scare me. I was actually rooting for the president to decide he would make a good VP over Baltar. I think Zarek is a true freedom fighter/rebel. At the very least, he's GOT to be a better leader than Baltar! Vlad oh I think Zarek is just an out for himself blowhard. The only person's freedom he cares about is his own. SO not impressed with him. Well, yes, I am, but it's all negative.

After rewatching this morning, I noticed that Six died from rebar throught the chest. I think her holding the arrow was just a ploy to get Kara to attack her again. Puzzling over the 'why' of that, I only came up with that it was their plan to beat Kara down to the point where when she met up with Helo and C!Boomer, she would be too weak and confused to kill C!Boomer. And the arrow looked cheesy because that's not the real reason that Kara was manipulated into returning to Caprica - the Real Arrow is actually C!Boomer's baby and it's not going to point the way to Earth, but to the 'one true God' - or whatever the Cylon's have in their Plan to make the humans accept them and their 'new generation of God's children'. (Although, I do think the cheesy arrow will give them a clue to 'Earth's' location.)As Kara was trying to shoot Six, she kept shooting up all the statues of their gods. I thought that was very symbolic. And along with Adama's death, the Chief's taking over on Kobol, and Apollo's choice to side with the president, I think we're being shown a definite shifting of the old to the new. With Adama dead and the President in the brig, Baltar's return to the Galactica will be very interesting. Any guesses on what the Cylon's ultimate Plan is? excellent Karen! brava! I think the Cylon's ultimate goal is to become uber-humans.

Well, there it is - the hard landing in hell. Apollo and Starbuck are both guilty of mutiny. Commander Adama is dead or dying, making Tigh the military leader of the fleet. Roslin is in jail. And Baltar is now the acting president of the 12 colonies. OMG, it wasn't until I read this that I realized Baltar is president now. **brainshare with Patti**

Well, the only real answer we got was: it will be back in July. OKay, that was one of hte most powerful cliff hangers since I don't know when. He can't be dead, right? Right? Vlad I . . . I . . . . don't know!!! I am now officially trolling for spoilers.

The Helo/Boomer thing has now informed Starbuck that Boomer on Galactica is a Cylon. So, Baltar is not the only one that knows. But Boomer on Galactica should be in the brig now too. As for the cradle - Six has said she wanted a baby and referred to what's in the cradle as the future.. Baltar isn't actually in a building. So, I'll have to do some brain racking over it. lol The first thing I thought of when Starbuck saw Caprica!Boomer was that now she knows - how will that play out on Galactica. But then of course we had the final couple minutes and it all went to hell. Still

And CapBoomer.. she wants to go to Earth...am I the only one that got this Adam and Eve vision? A single Boomer and a single Helo, alone on a new world raising a family of little CyHumans. Did anyone check to see if they had some black stones on them? That LOST hatch certainly lbears a resemblance to the BSG tech. *L* We have solved what is running around on the island! It's Helo and Boomer's tyke! Woo hoo! Vlad EEEEEeeeeek!! **runs screaming from the crossover of doom**

With Adama dead and the President in the brig, Baltar's return to the Galactica will be very interesting. Quotes I loved or went 'hmmm?' over: Apollo: "We can't sacrifice democracy just because the President made a bad decision."
The multiple Sharons: 'We love you Sharon."
Balter to Six: "You saved me." Six: Care to return the favor? Balter: "Why, are you in need of saving?"
Baltar: "I know this place." Six: "Of course you do."
Six to Baltar: "You are the Guardian and Protector of the new generation of God's children. The first member of our new family will be with us soon." Any guesses on what the Cylon's ultimate Plan is? I also thought that 6 had some other scheme in mind - wasn't really trying to kill Starbuck, but distract her from something. The Cylons are really really really willing to sacrifice individual cylon units for the furtherment of their plan, aren't they? I mean, I suspect them of engineering the destruction of the two bases we've seen so far, housing who knows how many Cylons. Eetah on your quotes, especially the first two. I alternately love and want to smack Apollo, but he was right this time. And the multiple Sharon's were just . . . well. Just! Lola

Another amazing episode for you to summarize and review very neatly, havoc! I hadn't realized the importance of Caprica!Boomer's awareness of the Arrow until you pointed it out. It totally fits with the Cylon's apparent desire for humanity to find Earth again. Your idea that the Cylons need humans to find it is an interesting one. The death of the Six model at Starbuck's hands (which does seem very convenient and fixed) would fit right in with this. Eetah on your comment that the Delphi mention on the museum is fitting - Greek Gods, prophesies, Arrows of Apollo. I was very intrigued by the interplay between Tyrol and the lead guy on Kobol. It could be read very straightforwardly as the classic storyline of the simple non-com or grunt soldier who is more the leader than the actual officer. It also fits a subtle demonstration of the raw newness of many of the pilots and crew - reminding us that this is really the last of humanity - making do with what it has salvaged. But I also wonder if it will turn out as more. Either as a larger role for Tyrol, or if it is saying something about the leader guy. I liked your description of the intercut scenes of the Starbuck - Six fight and the storming of the President's ship as "the descent continuing" and "the ground we've covered seems to be slipping away like a beach to the evening tide". We are in free-fall after that push off the cliff we experienced in the episode just before. I keep wondering about Starbuck's reaction to the news that Caprica!Boomer is pregnant. Was it just a freak-out over the idea that a Cylon can be pregnant? Was she somehow thinking that this meant Caprica!Boomer is the "real" Boomer - a human Boomer - and that only the other Sharon is a Cylon? Which brings me to a question I've been wondering for a while. Are the human Cylons just created, or are they "copies" of some human original? Finally - you provide a very good and therefore very scary summary of the human situation aboard Galactica. Quite a season ender! A high-water mark indeed! Thanks for the review, havoc! Lola

By the by, I think your idea of a wrap-up commentary about the whole season is a nifty idea, if you are of a mind to do one.
